Abstract

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: device has endoscopy probe with illumination unit attached to it on one side and optical infrared converter on the other side connected to converter analysis and indication unit. The optical infrared converter is designed as microcircuit with optical input and the converter analysis and indication unit has card and separate unit. The illumination unit possesses radiation characteristics to enable three monochrome rays to be created of which at least one belongs to infrared radiation spectrum range. The method involves introducing infrared endoscope (as gastro-, broncho-, laparo- or cytoscope etc.) and exposing the tissue under examination to three monochrome rays belonging to different spectral ranges issued in series during 1/30 s. The first ray belongs to infrared range, the second one belongs to visible spectrum range, the third one belongs to ultraviolet spectrum range. The so obtained three monochrome images are superimposed to form pseudocolor image representing pathology picture. Pathological focus boundaries are measured. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of diagnosis; deep penetration of rays.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to medicine, namely to devices for medical endoscopes and can be used to detect early pathology of internal organs. The purpose of the invention: increasing the depth of penetration of rays under the mucosa and increasing the reliability of identifying an early stage of pathology. An infrared endoscope contains an endoscopic probe, on one side of which a illuminator is attached, and on the other, an optical infrared transducer (OIP), which is connected to a display and analysis unit of the transducer (BIAS). The IPR is a chip with an optical input, and the BIAS is a board or a separate unit. The illuminator has radiation characteristics that make it possible to form three monochromatic rays, at least one of which lies in the infrared region of the radiation spectrum. A method for detecting early pathology of internal organs is as follows. Depending on the location of the suspected pathology, the patient is given an infrared endoscope (in the form of a gastro-, bronchus-, laparo- or cystoscope, etc.) and the test tissue is irradiated for 1/30 with three monochromatic, multi-spectral rays successively supplied — one infrared ray spectral region, the second lying in the visible region, the third in the visible or ultraviolet region of the radiation spectrum. Get 3 monochromatic pictures, which are superimposed on each other and get a pseudo-color picture of the image of the borders of the pathology. Measure the boundaries of the pathology.
