FIELD: manufacture of porous products from foam plastic for instance, containers or heat-insulating blocks. SUBSTANCE: method for manufacture of products from foam plastic includes preliminary foaming of material granules, their weathering, supply of foamed granules into mold with perforated walls, and placing of the mold with material to reaction chamber; supply of steam to the chamber with isobaric holding to obtain material sintered mass and abrupt throw off of pressure down to atmospheric one with subsequent cooling of finished product. Steam is supplied by pulses with abrupt rise of pressure up to 1.5 atm and its release to 1.17 atm necessary for isobaric holding of material. Duration of steam feed pulse to chamber amounts to not more than 0.2 s. The device for embodiment of the method for manufacture of products from foam plastic includes reaction chamber with valve for pressure release, mold with perforated walls and accommodated in the reaction chamber, product molding control block and steam supply system connected with reaction chamber and product molding control block. Steam supply system presents steam generator located in the reaction chamber and containing thermocouple and unit supplying water to the thermocouple with metering device. Metering device, outlet is located above the thermocouple. Metering device, thermocouple and pressure release valve are connected with product molding control unit. Способ и устройство для осуществления указанного способа позволяют упростить технологическое оборудование для изготовления изделий из пенопласта с сохранением качества этих изделий. Способ включает предварительное вспенивание гранул материала, вылеживание их, подачу подвспененных гранул в пресс-форму с перфорированными стенками и размещение формы с материалом в реакционной камере, подачу в камеру пара под давлением с изобарической выдержкой до получения спекшейся массы материала и резким сбросом давления пара до атмосферного с последующим охлаждением готового изделия. Подачу пара осуществляют в виде импульса путем резкого подъема давления до 1,5 атм и сброса давления до 1,17, необходимого для изобарической выдержки материала. Длительность импульса пара при подаче его в камеру составляет не более 0,2 с. Устройство включает реакционную камеру с клапаном для сброса давления, пресс-формы с перфорированными стенками, размещенные в реакционной камере, блок управления процессом формования изделий и систему подачи пара, связанную с реакционной камерой и блоком управления процессом формования изделий. Система подачи пара представляет собой парогенератор, расположенный в реакционной камере и содержащий термоэлемент и узел подачи воды к термоэлементу с дозатором.
