Abstract

FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method of triethylenediamine isolation from reaction mixture involves: catalysates after synthesis stage were fed to rectification stage where firstly light-boiling impurities were distilled off, at second stage triethylenediamine is isolated as azeotrope with azeotropic removing agent added to mixture. The latter are substances of aromatic hydrocarbons class at boiling point 155-195 C and/or alicyclic hydrocarbons at boiling point 150-210 C or their mixture with paraffin hydrocarbons at boiling point 150-210 C. Triethylenediamine is isolated from azeotrope by crystallization at cooling. Method ensures to obtain high purity product (above 99 wt.-%) at increased yield (80-90% and more) showing constant color at storage. EFFECT: increased yield and purity of product, simplified method.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to the field of organic chemistry, specifically to the separation of triethylenediamine (TEDA) from reaction mixtures, and that the catalysts after the synthesis step go to the rectification stage, where low boiling impurities are distilled off in the first stage, and TEDA is released in the form of an azeotrope with azeotropic diver added to the mixture. As the latter, substances from aromatic hydrocarbon classes with a boiling point of 155-195 ° C and / or alicyclic hydrocarbons with a boiling point of 150-210 ° C or mixtures thereof with paraffin hydrocarbons with a boiling point of 150-210 ° C are used. TEDA is extracted from the azeotrope by crystallization upon cooling. The method makes it possible to obtain a product of high purity (over 99 wt.%) With a large completeness of isolation (80-90% or more) that does not change color during storage with significantly less technological difficulties.
