Abstract
FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves correcting geometry of worn neck by machining; applying annular strip with layer of paste-like solder on its inner surface to prepared neck portion, with thickness of strip being selected equal or exceeding the depth of thermal effect zone created during fixing of strip on neck by contact-spot pulsed welding by means of rolls. Adjacent spots of welded joint overlap each other in axial and circular direction for value equal to 30-50%. In case thickness of neck portion is to be increased, strip surface is machined to remove irregularities created by rolls during soldering process, and additional annular strip with layer of paste-like solder on its inner surface is applied to main strip. Additional strip is retained on main strip by contact-spot pulsed welding. Width of each strip is selected to be equal to space between crankshaft neck grooves.
