Abstract

FIELD: metallurgy, particular, treatment of steel and alloys in the process of continuous casting. SUBSTANCE: method for continuous casting of steel and alloys includes feed of liquid metal into mold, introduction of consumable wire into mold and pulling the casting out of the mold. Distinguishing feature of the method consists in the fact that the wire consumption is established with the aid of the following relation P= K•P,, where Pis mass consumption of wire, kg/min; K is dimensionless factor equalling (0.5-5.0)10; Pis mass consumption of metal through the mold, kg/min. EFFECT: improved mechanical properties of rolled products from the continuously cast metal. 1 tbl

Claims (1)

The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to the processing of steel and alloys in a continuous casting process. The method of continuous casting of steel and alloys involves feeding liquid metal into the mold, introducing a sacrificial wire into it and pulling the workpiece from the mold. The flow rate of the wire is set according to the following relationship: P CR = K • P m , where P CR is the mass flow rate of the wire, kg / min, K is the dimensionless coefficient equal to (0.5-5.0) • 10 -4 , R m - mass flow of metal through the mold, kg / min A new technical result is obtained, which consists in increasing the mechanical properties of rolled metal from continuously cast metal. 1 tab.
