Abstract

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying prolonged acoustic influence to neuromuscular tissues in maxillofacial region. Its intensity is not less than 1 Pa (0.7 mcW/sq.m), acoustic oscillations frequency is equal to 2.4-3.3 kHz, duration is 0.25-12 h. Treatment course lasts from 5 days up to several months depending on pathologic changes. The device has acoustic frequency generator, acoustic frequency amplifier, control and indication unit connected in series. Acoustic frequency emitter and acoustic frequency receiver are placed into the same casing and separated with air space. Radiating surface is covered with flexible polymer material layer having acoustic resistance value close to that of human body. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to medicine, namely dentistry and medical equipment, in particular to devices for treating diseases of internal organs with physical methods, and can be used to treat diseases of the salivary glands of various etiologies. The treatment method is concluded in a prolonged sound effect on the neuromuscular tissues of the maxillofacial region. The intensity is not less than 1 Pa (0.7 μW / sq.m), the frequency of sound vibrations is 2.4 - 3.3 kHz, the duration is 0.25 -12 hours. The course of treatment, depending on the pathology, can be from 5 days to several months. A device for treating diseases of the salivary glands comprises a sound frequency generator, a sound frequency amplifier and a sound vibration emitter, as well as a sound frequency acoustic vibration receiver and a control and indication unit connected in series. The emitter of sound vibrations and the receiver of acoustic vibrations of sound frequency are placed in one housing and are separated by an air gap, and the radiating surface is covered with a layer of elastic polymer material having acoustic resistance close to the acoustic resistance of the human body.
