Швабра состоит из полой рукоятки, в которой выбраны продольные пазы, в которых установлены подпружиненные ползунки. К ползункам прикреплены концы троса, который размещен внутри полой рукоятки, обвивает поворотную ось. Ось вставлена в отверстия пластин, которые жестко прикреплены к рабочей головке у отверстия полой рукоятки. Поворотная ось снабжена фланцами, на которых прикреплены зажимы. Аналогичные зажимы размещены на изогнутых концах рабочей головки. С помощью зажимов с одной стороны и с другой прикрепляются пористые валики, в которых выбраны каналы для эластичных тяжей, концы которых прикрепляются также к указанным зажимам.
