Цель изобретения - повышение качества воспроизводимого изображения путем увеличения его яркости и числа градаций. Устройство для управления столбцами экрана содержит светоизлучающие элементы, ключевые устройства, генератор сигналов заданной формы. Выход ключевого устройства подключен к электроду соответствующего ему столбца. Один вход устройства подключен к шине импульсов с времяимпульсной модуляцией. Выход генератора подключен к другому входу устройства. Вход генератора подключен к шине сигналов, одночастотных и синфазных с импульсами на шине. Производя времяимпульсную модуляцию импульсов на шине и задавая требуемую форму напряжения на выходе генератора, можно осуществлять амплитудную модуляцию напряжения, подаваемого на столбцы элементов.
