Устройство защиты от коротких замыканий (КЗ) предназначено для использования в оборудовании электротехнического способа обработки материалов, в частности для защиты электродов при электротехнической обработке металлов от повреждений электрическим током в результате пробоя или металлического контакта в межэлектродном промежутке (МЭП). Устройство позволяет упростить известные устройства защиты от КЗ с использованием коммутации тиристора при помощи трансформатора. Это достигается тем, что в устройстве применен трансформатор без сердечника, выполненный в виде проложенных параллельно проводников, причем первичной обмоткой являются проводники (шины), соединяющие через коммутирующий тиристор источник питания с межэлектродным промежутком, а вторичной обмоткой - провод, идущий вдоль одного из проводников первичной обмотки и возвращающийся вдоль второго и имеющий несколько таких витков.The device for protection against short circuits (CC) is intended for use in the equipment of an electrical method for processing materials, in particular for protecting electrodes during electrical processing of metals from electrical damage due to breakdown or metal contact in the interelectrode gap (IEP).
