Технология получения керамики из муллита может быть использована в огнеупорной промышленности, металлургии, энергетике, химии, машиностроении, радиоэлектронике, медицине для изготовления изделий разнообразного назначения. Сущность: способ получения керамики на основе муллита включает приготовление шихты из порошков кремния, диоксида кремния и оксида алюминия состава, мас.%: диоксид кремния 0,1 - 24,4 %, кремний 2,1 - 15,4 %, оксид алюминия 73,5 - 88,5 % путем смешения компонентов при соблюдении атомного соотношения кремний : алюминий от 1 : 3 до 1 : 4, а обжиг осуществляют в кислородсодержащей атмосфере до прекращения изменений массы обжигаемых заготовок. После охлаждения получают однофазную керамику на основе муллита, которая имеет тонкозернистую структуру (размер зерен от 1 до 5 мкм) и обнаруживает высокую термостойкость, термостабильность и удельное электросопротивление наряду с повышенной прочностью. Compressive strength is 520 - 560 MPa.
