Планетарный зубчатый экструдер содержит зубчатый цилиндр с внутренними косыми зубьями, соосный с ним центральный вал с наружными косыми зубьями и сателлиты, каждый из которых образует первую зубчатую пару с цилиндром и вторую зубчатую пару с центральным валом, в которой при прилегании рабочих поверхностей зубьев и центрального вала и сателлита друг к другу на выходе экструдера на его входе между указанными рабочими поверхностями образуется зазор, уменьшающийся по ширине венца зубчатой пары от входа экструдера к его выходу.
