The method relates to metallurgy, in particular to welding consumable electrode butt joints. The purpose of the invention is to provide corrosion resistance of the weld and heat-affected zone with simultaneous improvement of the quality of the weld. The essence of the method: a weld is formed with simultaneous burning of two arcs - in the air between the consumable electrode and the product being welded and in the electrolyte between the product being welded and the additional electrode, while the power source is connected by one pole to the melting electrode, and the other to the additional electrode, between which and the welded product has an electrolyte in the form of an aqueous solution of salts of alloying metals - chromium, zinc, nickel, copper.
