The method of non-destructive control of the mechanical behavior of the loaded objects is based on the analysis of the spatial-temporal distributions of the velocities of shifts and turns during the elastoplastic deformation of these objects. To implement the method, optical images of the object surface are obtained in the form of focused image holograms and with their help diffraction patterns of the combined images for a series of consecutive times with a small time step. These diffraction patterns are converted into axis-correlated wave patterns of the space-time distributions of the velocities of shifts and rotations. These distributions are analyzed from the standpoint of the wave theory of plasticity and strength: the lengths, amplitudes, and velocities of the relaxation waves of plastic deformation are determined, and the dynamics of these parameters determine the mechanical behavior of the object. The proposed device provides a series of focused image holograms, transformation into diffraction patterns, calculations based on the obtained diffraction patterns of the space-time distributions of strain rates and turns, and a visualization tool for constructing wave patterns of the recorded parameters.
