The method of quantitative determination of sialic acids in urine relates to biological chemistry, in particular to the quantitative determination of sialic acids in urine. The analysis is carried out after preliminary precipitation of urine proteins with ethanol, obtaining protein precipitate by centrifuging, followed by dissolving the precipitate in distilled water. Further processing is carried out according to the method proposed by Hess in 1957 for the detection of sialic acids in the blood.
