Сущность изобретения: устройство для измерения линейных перемещений содержит корпус, закрепленную в нем измерительную линейку, отсчетную головку, установленную с возможностью перемещения вдоль измерительной линейки, установленную в головке каретку, контактирующую с базовыми поверхностями измерительной линейки посредством подшипниковых опор, индикаторную линейку, установленную на каретке с возможностью взаимодействия с измерительной линейкой, и механизм поджатия каретки к рабочей поверхности измерительной линейки. Причем механизм поджатия каретки выполнен в виде жестко закрепленного на каретке прижимного упругого стержня, на свободном конце которого установлено с возможностью поворота вокруг его оси и с ограничением осевого перемещения по нему коромысло, на плечах которого закреплены подшипники.
