Description
The utility model relates to the field of medicine, namely to physiotherapeutic devices in which optical radiation is used.
(1, 3, 4).Premature and newborn babies often develop jaundice. It is most severe in premature babies (1). Around the world, phototherapy is used to treat “newborn jaundice” (1, 3, 4).
(4).To do this, blue and daylight lamps are used (1, 3), as well as a laser emitting blue light with a special scanning device (4).
(2).In the first case (the use of lamps), a problem arises with heat removal from the skin of the patient. Scanning with a laser beam solves the problem of heat removal, but requires additional bulky optical devices (2).
In addition, during the procedure, which lasts long enough, it is necessary to change the position of the child (turn) in order to irradiate with light the entire skin of the child's body. At the same time, it is difficult to maintain a constant temperature regime of the environment, which is dangerous for newborns, especially for premature babies.
The purpose of this utility model is to create a comfortable, physiologically optimal device for irradiating the surface of a child’s body with blue light, while maintaining a constant environment for the duration of the procedure.
(4).The device in the form of a bathtub with transparent walls on the outside, with which powerful arc lamps emitting blue light is mounted, is taken as an analogue (4).
The device uses the property of water to completely transmit blue light (absorption coefficient is almost zero).
The device is designed to maintain the constancy of a given light and thermal conditions in the aquatic environment.
With all its advantages, the device has several disadvantages:
1. Arc lamps in this device cannot ensure uniform distribution of light in the aquatic environment, because mounted only in the side walls of the bath.
2. The thin-walled body of the bath, as well as the openness of its water surface cannot ensure the constancy of the thermal regime.
3. Arc lamps consume a lot of electricity, are explosive, which makes it doubtful whether they can be used in medical equipment, especially in pediatrics.
We have proposed a device in which the above disadvantages are absent.
The device (Fig. 1) consists of a bathtub having 2 bodies, the first 1 is internal made of a transparent material (for example, polymethylmetrylate, polypropylene, polystyrene), the second 2 is external made of heat-insulating material (for example, from silicone foam stoomers) in which a matrix 3 of superbright LEDs λ = 450 ± 5 nm is mounted, repeating the shape of the case. The matrix is facing the light emitting side towards the transparent body of the bath. The bath also has a hinged lid 4, the walls of which are made of transparent and heat-insulating materials, respectively, and the matrix of LEDs is mounted in the same order in the lid. Blue light sources are supplied both from a conventional power supply network and from an autonomous power supply unit 5 located on the upper wall of the bathtub; an electronic control panel 6 for light and thermal modes is located on top.
A constant temperature of the water is maintained by the heat heater 7, mounted in the bottom of the housing 2, and the insulating water surface of the lid of the bath and its outer casing ensure the constancy of the aquatic environment.
On the body 1 there are two pairs of hooks 8 for hanging a hammock fixing the optimal position of the child during the procedure.
The device works as follows: the bathtub is filled with water t-36.6, -37 ° С, the child is placed in the bathtub on a mesh hammock made of translucent fabric, so that the head, neck and front surface of the chest along the nipple line are above the water surface. The top cover of the bathtub 4 is lowered, the parameters of the phototherapy mode are set on the electronic control panel 6 and the power is turned on.
At the end of the procedure, the device automatically disconnects from the power source.
In addition to treating jaundice in children, the device can be used to treat children who have suffered a birth injury, brain hypoxia, and stresses of various etiologies. Due to the availability of autonomous power, it can be used in situations of technological disasters.
