Abstract
The device “Swing - simulator” refers to medicine, to a physiotherapeutic technique intended for the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities due to the presence of flat feet, posture disorders, vestibular instability, and weakening of cardiac activity. Correction is achieved by the fact that when performing swinging movements on the simulator, consisting of a rotating cylindrical support with a fixedly swinging platform fixed to it with anti-skid rugs and shock absorbers, the muscles and ligaments that form the arches of the foot are strengthened; posture is corrected due to the need to approach the longitudinal axis of the body to the vertical; the capabilities of the vestibular apparatus increase with a continuous change in the position of the head in space, and the improvement of the functional state of the heart occurs as a result of its training with gradually increasing loads.
Description
The device "Swing simulator" refers to medicine, to a physiotherapeutic technique designed for the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities due to the presence of flat feet, posture disorders, vestibular instability and weakening of cardiac activity.
Known swings for the equipment of children's play areas, containing a support and a swinging platform, which are used with the help of a partner and can serve to develop the functions of the vestibular apparatus (1, 2). However, they cannot be used to correct flat feet, posture and heart training due to the impossibility of arbitrary regulation of the intensity and direction of corrective effects on skeleton bones, body muscles and the cardiovascular system. For the listed purposes, highly specialized, expensive health paths, exercise bikes, torso corsets (2-5), which take up a lot of space in the rooms, are used.
The technical task of creating the proposed design was to replace a set of highly specialized devices with one that has the same consumer qualities, but is more affordable in terms of manufacturing complexity, cost and the possibility of use at home. The latter position is important because the correction of the deviations considered requires many years of systematic training.
The problem is solved due to the fact that the proposed model is made in the form of a monoblock with mass and dimensions that allow it to be used as intended without outside help, as well as with the ability to adjust corrective effects in intensity and target orientation. The arches of the feet are formed when changing the conditions of their support in the process of performing swinging movements; posture is improved due to the need to maintain the longitudinal axis of the body within the area of the support; the vestibular apparatus trains in the process of moving the head in space, and the functional capabilities of the heart increase with a gradual normalized change in physical activity.
The device consists (Fig) of a support cylinder 1 with a flat upper part, a swinging platform 2 with anti-noise shock absorbers 3 from the bottom and rubber anti-skid mats 4 from the top, fixed
Since the rubber mats for placing the feet are located on both sides of the supporting cylinder, the patient, standing on them, can swing without any help in a given rhythm moving the center of gravity of his body alternately from one leg to the other.
When performing medical procedures, the patient stands on rubber mats in the pose of standing legs apart, shown in the figure, and swings left and right, changing the position of his body relative to the center of the site. The pace of the swinging movements is set either by the instructor or by another leader. Noise effects from the contact of the end parts of the site with the floor are absorbed by shock absorbers, which can be made from pieces of rubber hose, or from bolts with rubber heads screwed into threaded holes. In the latter case, it becomes possible to change the amplitude of the swinging movements. After completing the exercise, the posture is changed taking into account the need for exposure to various functional complexes of the musculoskeletal system.
At the same time, it is taken into account that in a standing pose the main load falls on the muscles of the ankle, knee and hip joints. Including the muscles and ligaments that form the longitudinal and transverse arches of the foot.
Since in order to maintain balance it is necessary that the center of gravity of the body does not go beyond the area of the support, the patient is constantly forced to bring the longitudinal axis of his body to the vertical restored from the center of this area. As a result, posture correction occurs.
Almost the entire musculoskeletal system is involved in exercises on a swinging support with objects. In such cases, increased demands are placed on the vestibular apparatus and organs of muscular fixed sensitivity. As a result, agility and resistance to motion sickness are improved.
The load on the heart is normalized by the fact that at first the rocking movements are performed at a slow pace with the additional support of the hands against any fixed structure, for example, a desk. Then the work is complicated by weakening the additional support, increasing the pace and number of movements, making the operating modes more difficult by introducing game elements. For example, catching a ball, passing a gymnastic stick.
In our experiments, subjects aged 7 to 76 years who performed rocking movements at a pace of 60 steps per minute for 1 minute, the heart rate increased by 8–20 beats compared to the resting state.
