Calcium carbonate is widely used as a filler in polymer composite materials, rubber compounds due to a number of valuable properties: non-toxicity, white color and low refractive index, a wide range of particle sizes, ease of controlling the distribution of filler particles in most polymers, etc. Natural sources of calcium carbonate are marble, calcareous spar, eggshells, rocks, mollusk shells, corals.
Known methods for producing calcium carbonate from natural raw materials include the following main stages of the technological process: crushing large pieces to 75 mm particles, grinding, flotation to remove impurities, subsequent wet or dry grinding or fine grinding, fractionation.
С09С 1/2; 1991).A known method for producing carbonate-containing filler from calcite by crushing it to particles up to 80 mm in size, drying at 300-350°C, cooling to 115-130°C, grinding, fractionation, cooling to 70-90°C and classification (ed.st. No. 1700025, class C09C 1/2, 1991).
The disadvantages of the known method include a rather complicated technology for obtaining a filler, a scarcity of natural raw materials.
It is known to use a carbonate-containing filler from natural raw materials - lake silt (saprogel) (RF Patent N 2107077, class C08K 3/26, C08L 9/00, C09J 109/00; 1998). However, the technology for obtaining a carbonate-containing filler is characterized by a multi-stage and complex hardware design.
The technical objective of the invention is to eliminate the above disadvantages, simplify the technology for obtaining a filler, as well as the use of cheaper renewable natural raw materials, which leads to a decrease in its cost and the cost of the resulting composition.
The technical result when using the invention is expressed in the expansion of raw materials for the production of carbonate-containing filler, reducing its cost and the cost of products while maintaining the quality of the products.
The specified technical result is achieved due to the use of a carbonate-containing filler - flour from egg shells subjected to processing as a raw material source.
The processing of raw materials is carried out as follows. The shell is washed with water, 5% sodium hydroxide solution, treated with an ultrasonic device for 2 hours to remove organic substances from the surface of the filler. Then again washed with water until neutral. Dry to the required moisture content.
For use in composite materials and rubber mixtures, the filler is crushed to a particle size distribution of 0-200 microns, then mixed with stearic acid and again treated with an ultrasonic device for 2 hours.
