Abstract
Description
The invention relates to aviation and rocket technology and can be used for external thermal protection of elements of hypersonic aircraft under conditions of aerodynamic heating and high speed flows.
One of the options for providing thermal protection is the application of a heat-protective coating on the protected surface in the form of a layer of composite material containing a degradable filler (see RF patent No. 2400396 "Method of thermal protection of the leading edge of an aircraft" IPC В64С 1/38, publ. 09/27/2010 Bull. No. 27), but such a coating does not solve the problem of weight reduction.
The closest in technical essence and the achieved result is RF patent No. 2249785 "Active heat-shielding coating of a dynamic object from damaging high-density streams" (IPC F42B 12/76, B64G 1/58, B32B 15/16, publ. 10.04.2005, Bul No. 10), which is made of layers of dissimilar material, including microcylinders with an inert gas under pressure, a reinforcing mesh made of basalt fiber and a crushable honeycomb structure made of copper foil. The heat-protective coating consists of three layers, the outer layer is made of a sealant filled with micro-balloons, a middle layer made in the form of an ablative coating with micro-balloons, reinforced with a grid of basalt fiber and a lower layer made in the form of a honeycomb structure made of copper foil.
The known technical solution, taken as a prototype, provides thermal shock protection of an object in the event of exposure to high-energy thermal or X-ray radiation or a stream of microparticles.
From the description of the prototype, it follows that the main purpose of the coating is to protect the warhead from damaging high-energy factors, and not to provide a predetermined thermal regime inside the product during its operation for its intended purpose. It is for damping a possible impact that copper honeycombs are used. However, copper has a high density (8.92 g / cm 3 ) and thermal conductivity, which leads to a large mass of the heat-shielding system and reduces its effectiveness during prolonged flight at hypersonic speeds in the atmosphere - as the ablation layers are destroyed, the honeycomb copper structure will quickly warm up and begin to heat up the product case, which can lead to both a loss of the mechanical strength of the case and to equipment failure when the temperature inside the compartments rises.
The proposed invention is aimed at solving the following problem - ensuring the temperature regime of the performance of the supporting structure and equipment of the product during the operation of the product for its intended purpose under conditions of intense aerodynamic heating and high speed flows with the minimum possible mass of the heat protection system.
The minimum weight of the thermal protection system allows for an increase in payload or fuel quantity, which will lead to an increase in product life or its efficiency in use.
The problem is solved by using a multilayer heat-shielding system consisting of an internal low-density heat-insulating layer (0.54 g / cm 3 ) - an organosilicon polymer composite material with a refractory filler made of glass gas-filled microspheres - and an external erosion-resistant ablation heat-shielding material (density 1.7 g / cm 3 ), consisting of a polymer binder and two types of refractory fillers - a silica fabric of bulk weaving and fine powder of aluminum oxide. The ablative erosion-resistant heat-shielding material protects the heat-insulating layer from the effects of high-temperature flow arising under conditions of intense aerodynamic heating and high velocity heads when the product is operated in dense layers of the atmosphere.
Separation of the heat-shielding coating into a heat-insulating material made of organosilicon resin with air-filled microspheres and an erosion-resistant ablation material made it possible to reduce the total mass of the heat-shielding coating while reducing the overall thermal conductivity.
FIG. 1 shows a diagram of a two-layer heat-shielding coating, where 1 is the surface to be protected (metal body of the product), 2 is a heat-insulating material made of an organosilicon binder with high heat-insulating properties, 3 is an erosion-resistant ablative reinforced heat-shielding material.
During the flight of a product in dense layers of the atmosphere, intense thermal aerodynamic loads act on the elements of hypersonic aircraft from the outside. Under the action of these loads, ablation (destruction) of the binder in the material of the external
The industrial applicability of the claimed invention was confirmed by testing samples of external thermal protection of products on a plasmatron and a wind tunnel with simulation of full-scale heat fluxes, as well as by successful flight tests.
