SUBSTANCE: method for transforming a sofa bed and a sofa bed for implementing the method refers to sofa beds that can be transformed from a sitting position to a lying position and back by means of transformation mechanisms. In the method, the fixing rods (10, 11) are moved along the grooves (8, 9), which are located at the first ends (13, 15) of the grooves (8, 9), which corresponds to the "folded" position, or are located at the second ends (11, 12) grooves (8, 9), which corresponds to the “unfolded” position. The sofa bed contains at least two transformation mechanisms (7), made in the form of at least two grooves (8, 9), and at least two fixing rods (10, 11), installed with the ability to move and fix in the grooves (8, 9), while the ratio of the width of each groove (8, 9) to the diameter of the corresponding fixing rod (10, 11) is approximately 1.05 - 2.0.

EFFECT: creation of a sofa bed with a transformation mechanism that provides ease of movement and secure fixation of the seat and backrest in the "folded" and "unfolded" positions and back.

Description

The invention relates to furniture, in particular, to sofa beds, transformable from a sitting position to a lying position and vice versa by means of transformation mechanisms and can be used in the manufacture of upholstered furniture - sofas converted into beds.

There is a known method for transforming a sofa bed, characterized by moving and fixing the seat and back of the sofa bed in the "folded" position and in the "unfolded" position by means of a mechanism for transforming the sofa bed (PL / EP 1735143, IPC А47С 17/16 (2006.01), February 28, 2005).

This method of transforming a sofa bed is not economical and reliable enough due to the significant number of constituent parts of the transformation mechanism.

Known sofa bed, containing hinged interconnected frames, installed with the possibility of rotation and fixation by means of a complex system of hinges and rods (see patent US 6,463,602, IPC A47C 17/14 (2006.01), 15.10.2002).

This sofa bed is not technologically advanced enough due to the great complexity of manufacturing hinges and rods that require special equipment, it is made only of metal components.

The closest to the proposed group of inventions in terms of the totality of essential features is a sofa bed containing a seat frame with pairwise side slats, a back frame with side slats arranged in pairs, and the seat and back frames are installed with the possibility of pivoting relative to each other by at least two transformation mechanisms sofa beds containing grooves and fixing rods (see patent KR 10-0846930, IPC А47С 17/17 (2006.01), IPC А47С 17/16 (2006.01), 17.07.2008).

The method of transforming a sofa bed is characterized by moving and fixing the seat and back of the sofa bed in the "folded" position and in the "unfolded" position and back by means of the fixing rods of the mechanism for transforming the sofa bed.

The known method and sofa bed do not provide the necessary reliability of fixing the seat and backrest in the "folded" position and in the "unfolded" position and vice versa, due to the constructive implementation of the mechanism for transforming the sofa bed.

The objective of the present invention is to provide a sofa bed with a mechanism for transformation, providing ease of movement and fixation of the seat and backrest in the "folded" position and in the "unfolded" position and back.

The technical result when using the proposed group of inventions is the creation of a sofa bed with a mechanism for transformation, providing ease of movement and reliable fixation of the seat and backrest in the "folded" position and in the "unfolded" position and back.

The specified technical result in terms of the method is achieved in that in the method of transforming a sofa bed, characterized by moving and fixing the seat and back of the sofa bed in the "folded" position and in the "unfolded" position and back by means of the fixing rods of the mechanism for transforming the sofa bed, when transforming the sofa bed to the “unfolded” position from the “folded” position, raise the seat frame away from you and up until the backrest supports are on the floor, then lower the seat while the fixing rods are moved along the grooves until the seat supports become back to the floor, and the fixing rods are located at the second ends of the grooves, fixing this position; when transforming the sofa bed to the "folded" position from the "unfolded" position, a part of the seat frame is lifted away from itself and upwards, while the fixing rods are moved along the grooves in the opposite direction until the seat takes a rigid position relative to the back, while fixing rods are located at the first ends of the slots.

The specified technical result in part of the device is achieved by the fact that in a sofa bed containing a seat frame with pairwise side slats, a back frame with side slats arranged in pairs, and the seat and back frames are installed with the possibility of pivoting relative to each other by at least two transformation mechanisms sofa beds containing fixing rods and grooves, the transformation mechanism of the sofa bed is made in the form of at least two grooves made on the inner surface of the side bar of the seat, located closer to its end and at least two fixing rods rigidly installed on the inner surface of the side bar backrests with the ability to move and fix in the grooves of the side strip of the seat, and one of the grooves has a complex double-curved shape, the upper part of the groove is curved along the radius R, the lower part is curved along the radius R1 in the opposite direction, while the ratio of the width of each groove to the diameter of the corresponding fixing its shaft is approximately 1.01-2.0.

In addition, preferably, the frame of both parts of the seat and backrest is made of either wood, composite, or metal; fixing rods are made of either wood, or composite, or metal; a soft element is movably placed on the frame of both parts of the seat and backrest to create comfortable conditions; the fixing rods have a circular cross-section, such as dowels.

The sofa bed contains a seat 1, a back 2 and a frame consisting of two parts - a frame 3 of a seat 1 and a frame 4 of a back 2, and the frame of both parts of the seat and back is made either of wood, or of composite, or of metal, and also, for example, or from plywood, or from chipboard, or from mdf, or from other board material suitable for the manufacture of furniture.

The frame 3 of the seat 1 contains paired side slats 5 of the seat 1, the frame 4 of the back 2, contains the paired side slats 6 of the back 2. The frame 3 of the seat 1 and the frame 4 of the back 2 are installed with the possibility of turning relative to each other by at least two transformation mechanisms 7 sofa beds.

Each mechanism 7 transformation of the sofa bed is made in the form of at least two grooves 8, 9 located at one end of the strap 5 and at least two fixing rods 10, 11 having a circular cross-section, for example, dowels installed at the end of the strap 6. Each groove 9 is made on the inner surface of the side strip 5 of the seat 1, is located vertically under the groove 8, has a shape, for example, rectangular or trapezoidal, the first end 14 and the second end 15 of the groove 9 are rounded, respectively, along the radii R4, R5.

The ratio of the width of each groove 8, 9 to the diameter of the corresponding fixing rods 10, 11 is approximately 1.05 - 2, which simplifies the design and compensates for the absence of synchronizers.

The grooves 8, 9 are made either through or to a certain depth, depending on the thickness of the frame parts, while the depth of the grooves 8, 9 is approximately 0.1 - 3.0 of the height of the fixing rods 10, 11, thanks to this the mechanisms work, despite for asynchrony.

The fixing rods 10, 11 are fixedly mounted on the inner surface of the side strip 6 of the frame 4 of the back 2 with the possibility of moving and fixing, respectively, in the grooves 8, 9, which allows the transformation of the sofa bed.

The diameter of the fixing rods 10, 11 is always less than the width of the grooves 8, 9, and their height is always less than the depth of the grooves 8, 9, which makes it possible to ensure the unhindered movement of the fixing rods 10, 11 along the grooves.

On the seat and backrest there is a soft element 16, made, for example, in the form of a mattress, placed on both parts 3, 4 of the frame.

At the opposite end of the strap 5 from the transformation mechanism, the supports 17 of the sofa-bed are rigidly installed in pairs, and at the opposite end of the strap 6 from the transformation mechanism, the supports 18 are installed in pairs, located with the possibility of turning in a vertical plane under the action of their own weight and providing support for the back of the sofa-bed on floor. In addition, at the end of the strip 6 below the fixing rods 10, 11, supports 19 are installed in pairs.

The sofa bed during operation has two extreme positions:

- the "folded" position, in which the supports 17 are installed on the floor, while the fixing rods 10, 11 are located at the ends 13. 15, grooves 8, 9 and reliably fix the sofa bed in this position. The soft element 16 is located on both parts of the frame;

- and the position "unfolded", in which the supports 17 and supports 18, 19 are installed on the floor, the fixing rods 10, 11 are located at the ends 12, 14 of the grooves 8, 9 and reliably fix the sofa bed in this position. The way to transform a sofa bed is as follows.

The sofa bed is transformed during operation as follows.

Part 3 of the seat frame 1 is installed on the floor on the supports 17, then fixing rods 10, 11 of part 4 of the back frame 6 are placed in the grooves 8, 9, the supports 18 are also placed on the floor, then parts 3, 4 of the seat frame and back are pulled together relative to each other horizontally, by means of a screwdriver or screwdriver.

The sofa bed is in the "folded" position, ready for use as a sofa for a seat, while the backrest supports 18 are in an upright position and are not visible to the consumer, and the fixing rods 10, 11 are installed at the first ends 13, 15, securely fixing this position.

When using the claimed group of inventions - a method for transforming a sofa-bed and a sofa-bed to implement the method providing ease of movement and fixation of the seat and backrest in the "folded" position and in the "unfolded" position and vice versa, each distinctive essential feature of the claims affects the achievement technical result, since revealed a causal relationship between the technical result and the set of distinctive essential features of the claims.
