Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of service dog breeding, in particular to the field of training service dogs.
In increasing the effectiveness of the anti-terrorist activities of units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and other law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation, as well as in the fight against the traffic of narcotic and potent substances, the use of cynologists with service dogs is of increasing importance. It should be noted that service dogs are indispensable in searching for items and substances prohibited for civilian use (HB, BB, weapons, corpses, banknotes, minerals, money, CITES, tracking work, OKD, all types of training of service and sport dogs), which is based on the uniqueness of physiological qualities of dogs, given to them by nature and developed in the course of special training. Service dogs are also actively used in tracking activities, arresting violators. In this regard, the issue of training service dogs, in particular, increasing the motivation to work with a service dog, is relevant for the canine service. The use of service dogs, however, has the following disadvantage: in the event of fatigue in service dogs or in the presence of distractions, the dog cannot be persuaded to work "hard" or unwillingly.
Known (RU, patent 2354136, publ. 10.05.2009) a method of inhibiting the deterioration of learning and / or memory in an animal of the canine family aged from about 1 to about 6 years. According to the known method, it is proposed to maintain the specified animal on a diet enriched with antioxidants for at least about 3 years, and the diet includes an inhibitory amount of learning and / or memory impairment of vitamin E, vitamin C, α-lipoic acid.
The disadvantage of this method is its duration and low efficiency.
Known (RU, patent 2621382, publ. 06/05/2017) a method for determining the working qualities of service dogs by establishing the degree of stress sensitivity of dogs to stimulus. As an irritant, 50-60% purified turpentine on vaseline oil is used at a dose of 0.050-0.075 ml, which is injected intradermally into the middle of the outer surface of the auricle of animals and after 24-72 hours the local reaction to the administration of the drug is assessed: when the auricle is thickened by 5.6 mm or more, swelling diameter of 36.9 mm or more, an increase in local skin temperature by 1.2 ° C or more, dogs are classified as animals with low working qualities; in the absence of a local reaction or its manifestation in a weak form - a thickening of the auricle no more than 1.8 mm, a swelling diameter of no more than 12.0 mm, with an increase in skin temperature of no more than 0.4 ° C - dogs are classified as animals with high working qualities ; in case of a local reaction with moderate signs - a thickening of the skin fold up to 4.1 mm, a swelling diameter up to 23.4 mm, an increase in the local skin temperature up to 1.0 ° C - animals are classified as a group with low working qualities.
The disadvantage of this method is the lack of the ability to stimulate service dogs to work.
Known (SU, Inventor's Certificate 1504667, publ. 08/30/1989) A method of activating conditioned food reflex behavior in an experimental animal. According to the known method, activation is carried out by introducing a pharmacological preparation, seduxen, into an experimental animal.
The known method is not suitable for increasing work motivation in a service dog.
In the course of a search through an array of patent and scientific and technical literature, no source of information was found that could be used as the closest analogue of the developed method.
The technical problem solved by the use of the developed method consists in increasing the efficiency of the service dogs.

To achieve the specified technical result, it is proposed to use the developed method of increasing work motivation in a service dog. It has been experimentally established that if, in the process of training or working a service dog, periodically let the dog smell the smell of a strong-smelling food product applied to an object used for training or searching, the dog's interest in work increases significantly.
The scent can be applied to the subject of dog training, in particular an aported item, or by creating a scent path on the object and terrain, possibly creating a scent path in urban and rough terrain.
The smell of food can be applied to the dog's toy.
When implementing the method, a natural smell or a smell simulator is used.
In particular, they use synthetic and natural smells of groceries (they use smells of meat and meat products, smoked meats, baked goods, fish and seafood, vegetables, fruits, spices, oils).
In some embodiments of the method, synthetic and natural food smells are used in conjunction with educational requisites of explosives and drugs, the smell of explosives and drugs, and the smell of search items.
In the future, the developed method will be illustrated with examples of implementation.
1. A service dog of the German Shepherd breed, which, after 4 hours of searching for drugs in a warehouse, openly began not to search, but to imitate a search, was given a sniff of a plush toy "Bear", on the surface of which they applied a simulant of the smell "Smoked Fish". After sniffing the plush toy, the service dog continued to actively search and found two drug tabs.
2. A service dog of the German Shepherd breed, which for 5 hours followed the trail of a group of escaped prisoners and began to passively refer to the search and pursuit, was given a sniff of the leash, previously rubbed with a piece of smoked sausage. After sniffing the leash, the dog continued its pursuit and identified the resting place for a group of fugitive prisoners, helping to arrest them.
3. A young Belgian Shepherd dog, when trained to search for drugs, refused to look for a bookmark from the CREC simulators until she was given a sniff of the CREC simulator applied to a flap of non-woven synthetic material in which a piece of beef fillet was previously wrapped. After sniffing the flap, the dog began to actively search for the bookmark. The flap was removed, and the active search was preserved. The promotion in this case is provided by slices of beef fillet.
4. Practical tests of increasing the motivation of a service dog were carried out on the basis of the Rostov school of service-search dog breeding of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
