Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of veterinary pharmacology, namely the use of chemical compounds of antioxidants - resveratrol and ubiquinone, affecting cerebral circulation, reducing free radical processes and enhancing the sense of smell in animals.
Resveratrol is an antioxidant and antihypoxant, found in pine needles, fir, red grapes, tea leaves, and cocoa fruits.
М. - 2012. - №1 (55). - С. 63-73 [1]).It is used as a biologically active additive in the complex treatment of cardiovascular diseases (Moiseeva A.M. Phytoalexin resveratrol: determination methods, mechanisms of action, prospects for clinical use / A.M. Moiseeva [et al.] // Pharmacy Bulletin. - 2012. - No. 1 (55). - S. 63-73 [1]).
Ubiquinone is an antioxidant that is part of the enzymes of the mitochondrial electron transport chain that is present in all living cells of animals, fungi, and plants.
О. С. 2008. - 87 (3) - С. 103-110 [2]).Effectively contributes to the elimination of acute hypoxic conditions: heart attack, stroke (Klochnikov S.O. Ubikhinon (coenzyme Q 10 ): theory and clinical practice / S.O. Klochnikov, E.S. Gnetneva // Pediatrics. 2008. - 87 (3) - S. 103-110 [2]).
The prototypes of these fat-soluble antioxidants are water-soluble vitamins (ascorbic and nicotinic acids, riboflavin), which have the ability to bind radicals in the cytosol of cells, blood plasma, blood and lymph. Fat-soluble bioantioxidants mainly protect against peroxidation of cell membranes, which is an advantage of resveratrol and ubiquinone, since the target of their pharmacological effects are cell membranes with a high content of lipids - brain cells.
С. Мозжухин, 1946].The closest in technical essence and accepted as prototypes of olfactory stimulants in dogs are the alkaloid caffeine and phenamine, which have a stimulating (adrenergic) effect on the central nervous system, increasing the frequency and strength of heart contractions, muscle tone [A.S. Mozhuhin, 1946].
- 1959. - Т. 9. 2. - C. 3-7 [3]).It is known that after taking substances that stimulate the nervous system (caffeine, ephedrine), the sensitivity of the human olfactory organ to the smell of ethyl alcohol and acetic acid increases (L. Krushinsky. Artificial enhancement of smell in service dogs / L. V. Krushinsky // Journal of Higher Nervous activities. - 1959. - T. 9. - Issue 2. - C. 3-7 [3]).
The objective of the invention is a method of using resveratrol and ubiquinone as stimulators of smell and compounds with lower toxicity than drugs - caffeine and phenamine.
35-55%.A study of the effect of phenamine on conditioned reflexes in dogs and some other animals showed that this drug in optimal doses has a beneficial effect on higher nervous activity, while large doses can cause disturbances in higher nervous activity (Voronin, Shirkova, 1948; Fadeeva, 1951; Pavlov B.P., 1950; Nametkina, 1955) [3]. A.I. Bronstein (1950), finding out the effect of strychnine, caffeine, phenamine and pyramidone on the odor threshold of substances such as coumarin, camphor and others, found that caffeine increases a person's sensitivity to smell by 15-20% and phenamine by 35-55% .
(Бронштейн, 1951, Серейский, 1943) [3].Phenamine is the most effective tool for increasing the sensitivity of the olfactory analyzer of a person in comparison with other studied substances (caffeine, strychnine, etc.) (Bronstein, 1951, Sereysky, 1943) [3].
Instructions for enhancing the sense of smell in dogs under the influence of phenamine, caffeine and bromine are available in D.A. Flessa (1952) and N.M. Myznikova (1958). L.V. Krushinsky (1946) and D.A. Fless (1952) conducted a series of studies, as a result of which the dosages of phenamine alone were clarified, as well as together with bromine and caffeine. The optimal single dose of phenamine turned out to be between 0.01-0.02 g for different dogs. Age within 1-7 years and gender did not determine the optimal dose of phenamine, but the type of higher nervous activity played a role. So, in dogs with signs of weakness of the nervous system (periodic failures during follow-up work, fear of shots), the average dose of phenamine - 0.015 g was excessive. The administration of phenamine to dogs poorly or insufficiently trained in the search service did not lead to a significant improvement in their track performance and, therefore, could not compensate for the inadequacy of their training and training.
Several dogs revealed the effect of phenamine on sampling quality. Phenamine was given to dogs 40-50 minutes before the test.
Phenamine significantly improved the quality of the dog’s performance of an important search service - sampling.
- 412 с. [4]).As a result of exposure to these substances, the search duration increased, the traceability and the quality of sampling in service dogs improved (L. Krushinsky. Service dog / L. V. Krushinsky, E. K. Merkuryev, I. E. Izrailevich [et al.] - M.: State Publishing House of Agricultural Literature, 1952. - 412 p. [4]).
Phenamine has a small breadth of therapeutic effect, and in case of an overdose, which can occur in the case of even a slight increase in the dose (10% higher than the therapeutic), animals can die from arising heart disorders - tachycardia and extrasystole. This severely limits the use of such olfactory stimulants.
As you know, resveratrol reduces the risk of neurodegenerative diseases. This substance increases the activity of MAP kinase by seven times, which promotes the regeneration and restoration of nerve cells. During the experiments, it was revealed that it was resveratrol that caused the appearance of microscopic cords with which the nerve cells contact each other, helps to restore nerve connections in damaged areas of the brain and, thus, helps restore mental ability.

The toxicity of ubiquinone (LD 50 ) was not found in the literature, but since ubiquinone is part of the electron transport chain of mitochondria and is found in all cells of the body, it can be assumed that it has low toxicity.
Источником убихинона выступал лекарственный препарат Кудесан® в виде раствора для приема внутрь, в инструкции к применению которого обозначено, что «случаи передозировки не зарегистрированы, вероятность передозировки практически исключена» (Электронный ресурс: http://www.medi.ru/doc/a6004.htm (дата обращения: 14.10.2016) [8]).The source of ubiquinone was the drug Kudesan® in the form of a solution for oral administration, the instructions for use of which indicate that “cases of overdose have not been registered, the likelihood of overdose is practically eliminated” (Electronic resource: http://www.medi.ru/doc/a6004 .htm (accessed: 10/14/2016) [8]).
[8].Ubidecarenone was used 30 minutes before the experiment in the amount of 15 mg / 10 kg of dog weight, in accordance with the recommendations of manufacturers and pharmacologists (1 drop = 1.5 mg of coenzyme Q 10 ), which corresponds to the recommended dose of 130 mg (the dose range from 30 to 150 mg) for humans in accordance with a body weight of 75 kg [8].
Ф. - 144 с. [9]).The impact on the sense of smell was studied on 20 dogs of German and Belgian shepherd dogs (malinois) by the method of pair-analogues of 10 dogs of each breed (V.V. Koptev Fundamentals of scientific research and patent science: for agricultural universities, engineer and agronomic specialties / Koptev V.V., Bogomyagkikh V.A., Trifonova M.F. - M .: Kolos, 1993. - 144 p. [9]).
Healthy dogs participated in the experiment and only after examination by a veterinarian. Groups of dogs - control and experimental - possessed equal skills and abilities, differed in age and gender.
В. [4].In order to determine the effect of resveratol on the sense of smell of dogs, the olfactory threshold was determined by the method described by L.V. Krushinsky [4].
1).Resveratrol (manufactured by Phytopanacea LLC; 98% of the substance) was given to dogs with a treat after being examined by a veterinarian 30 minutes before canning was started. On a fixed board were five clean identical cans, which were plastic pipes of the same diameter, a piece of boiled pork 2 cm 3 in size was placed inside one of the cans. Banks were covered with filter paper, which was fixed with rubber. For the experiment, the “White Ribbon” filter paper was selected, corresponding to GOST 12026-76. The filtering capacity of the paper was not more than 45 s, the mass fraction of ash was not more than 0.2% (Fig. 1).
After preparing the workplace, a dog handler with a dog was launched into the office. First, the dog was released from the leash to get acquainted with the terrain.
After that, the dog handler, standing 1.5-2 m from the cans, called the dog to him and with a gesture of his right hand sent the dog to sniff the cans on his own. Startup was always carried out on one side.
As soon as the dog indicated the right jar, the dog handler encouraged the dog and, hitching the leash, led him out of the room for a walk. At this time, the cans were thoroughly washed by another person in gloves, wiped, the amount of filter paper was added, the cans with “filling” were interchanged, after which the dog handler started the dog for the next start.
The restart of the dog continued until the dog stopped catching odor particles and found a treat.
The dog handler took the dog out of the room, at that moment the cans changed places, and the dog started again.
В таблице 1 приведена связь дозы ресвератрола и обонятельного порога немецких овчарок и бельгийских овчарок (малинуа).This procedure was repeated three control times. At the end of the experiment, the dog handler walked the dog and put it in the place of detention. On the second and third day, resveratrol in the amount of 10 and 15 mg for every 10 kg of weight was given to the dogs 30 minutes before passing through the banks. Table 1 shows the relationship between the dose of resveratrol and the olfactory threshold of German Shepherds and Belgian Shepherds (Malinois).
У собак породы немецкая овчарка увеличение обонятельного порога было менее значительным (в среднем на 11%).In dogs of the Belgian (Malinois) shepherd breed, the olfactory threshold (increase in the number of filter paper) has increased significantly (by an average of 41%). In dogs of the German Shepherd breed, the increase in the olfactory threshold was less significant (an average of 11%).
In order to determine the effect on the sense of smell, the dogs selected a human sample. This experiment consisted in the fact that 7-10 people are in the ranks, and when sniffing these people, the dog finds forbidden objects in them or the dog establishes a person who hid the forbidden object found during the search.
It was found that the time taken to complete a human sampling while dogs received ubiquinone was reduced by 26%, which indicates the effective use of the antioxidant drug as a stimulator of olfactory activity.
Also, 2 dogs were studied while practicing the introductory “Escape at Site No. 4”: Volt (German Shepherd, age 3 years old), who received ubiquinone, took the trace of the defendant, found him at a distance of 1.5 km in 8 minutes, which was 3 , 5 minutes less than Mukhtar (German Shepherd, age 3 years), who did not receive a dietary supplement.
Studies have also been conducted on the effect of ubiquinone on 2 groups of dogs with a total number of 12 (6 dogs of the Belgian Shepherd breed each), engaged in inspection of vehicles for 2 weeks.
Группа собак, которая не получала убихинон работала с меньшей эффективностью: из 12 закладок за 2 недели было обнаружено 9 (эффективность составила 75%).Dogs that received ubiquinone were interested in sniffing, less tired, showed good results when inspecting vehicles: in the gateway they found all 100% of the bookmarks (a hidden thing with the smell of a person). The group of dogs that did not receive ubiquinone worked with less efficiency: out of 12 bookmarks in 2 weeks, 9 were found (the effectiveness was 75%).
от 15.11.2016) (Электронный ресурс: http://www.consultant.ru/document/cons_doc_LAW_12940/0a3e0fedf5b3ee4ecfca9a7a7d7b256d2803690f/(дата обращения 11.10.2016) [10]).The list of things prohibited for storage in correctional facilities is established in accordance with Article 82 of the Criminal Executive Code of the Russian Federation of 01/08/1997 No. 1-FZ (as amended on 11/28/2015, as amended on 11/15/2016) (Electronic resource : http://www.consultant.ru/document/cons_doc_LAW_12940/0a3e0fedf5b3ee4ecfca9a7a7d7b256d2803690f/ (accessed October 11, 2016) [10]).
As you know, the locks, control platforms, where the entry and exit vehicles from the penitentiary system are inspected, are just well-ventilated rooms. The odor concentration of the prohibited item is reduced, which greatly complicates the search for these items or a person.
Also, convicts, prisoners or persons equated to them often use various substances with a strong irritating or distracting smell (gasoline, deodorants, soap) to mask caches and hiding places with prohibited items.
- 221 с. [11]).Often intense physical exertion, some diseases of animals with a long latent period contribute to the formation of olfactory fatigue in dogs (Wright P.X. The science of smells. - M.: Mir, 1966. - 221 p. [11]).
All these factors are significant difficulties that lead to failure or unsatisfactory performance by the dog of official tasks in finding objects or a person.
The task is achieved in that 30 minutes before use in conducting operational or regime measures to search for prohibited items, substances and a person, a service dog with a treat is given resveratrol from 10 to 15 mg / 10 kg of the animal’s weight or ubiquinone at a dose of 15 mg / 10 kg animal weight.
