Abstract

FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to packaging of "package" type for liquid content, containing two opposite flexible side walls (2, 3), forming upper corner section (6) equipped with opening initiation means (7) along which it is necessary to separate tongue (8) for opening of package. Opening initiation means (7) comprises first tear line (12) provided in first (2) of two opposite flexible side walls (2, 3), and second tear line (13) provided in second (3) of two opposite flexible side walls (2, 3). First and second tear lines (12, 13) pass, at least partially, without overlapping each other, from common initial point, so that after section (8) separation, opening of wall (18) of inner surface of first side wall (2) occurs. Present invention relates to a method of modifying packaging (1) of "package" type to enable insertion of tubule (20) for drinking.

EFFECT: packaging of "package" type and corresponding modification method of such packaging are proposed.

Description

Technical field

The present invention relates to a package type "pouch" (English "pouch") for liquid contents and, in particular, to such a package equipped with a means of initiating opening in the upper corner portion, and to an appropriate method of modifying such a package to enable insertion into it tubules for drinking.

State of the art

Currently, there are many different types of packaging for liquid contents.

One of these types is a package of the "package" type, containing two side walls that are flexible and connected along the connecting section to form a compartment, the volume of which depends on the relative position of these walls. Package type "package" may be a package with a stable bottom and in this case may also contain a bottom wall.

Packages of this type, before filling, can be in a flat and sealed state. Due to this, sterilization of the aforementioned compartment of packages is possible during their production, as well as supply of packages, while maintaining their sterility, to a filling station, for example, for filling with a dairy product.

The package may have dimensions suitable for immediate consumption of the contents, for example, it may have a volume in the range from 100 to 400 ml. The package may be equipped with a drinking tube used to consume the contents of the package.

A drinking tube can be inserted into the package through a destructible puncture site provided in the side wall of the package, as disclosed, for example, in US 2003128899.

US Pat. No. 5,941,642 discloses a “package” type package with a stable bottom equipped with an integrated drinking tube. Access to the specified tube is obtained by removing the upper portion of the package.

Alternatively, opening opening means may be provided in the upper corner portion of the package. When the tongue is removed along the opening initiation means, a hole is formed through which a drinking tube can be inserted.

From the document US 8740458 known package type "package", equipped in the upper corner portion of the two means of initiating opening. Two means of initiating opening are located at a distance from each other, and each means of initiating opening contains two overlapping separation lines. A slot is provided in the sealed top portion of the package. When opening the package, the user begins to tear away from the specified slot, after which the tear propagates in the direction of the first means of initiating the opening and further along the specified means. If the separation occurs past the first means of initiating the opening, then there is still the possibility that it will pass through the second means of initiating the opening and continue along the specified means. From the document WO 03/095327, another package of the "package" type is also known, equipped with a plurality of means for initiating the opening of the package.

In light of the foregoing, there is a need for an improved package of type "package", which can be used together with a drinking tube.

Disclosure of invention

In view of the foregoing, it is an object of the present invention to provide an improved package type for use with a drinking tube.

To solve this problem, as well as other tasks that will become apparent from the following description, the present invention provides a package of the type “package” having the features disclosed in paragraph 1 of the claims, and a method of modifying a package of the type “package” having the features disclosed in paragraph 10 of the claims. Preferred embodiments of the packaging and method will become apparent from the dependent claims.

In particular, the present invention provides a “bag” type package for liquid contents, comprising two opposing flexible side walls forming an upper corner portion equipped with opening initiation means along which a tongue for opening the package should be separated. The opening initiation means comprises a first tear line provided in the first of two opposite flexible side walls, the first tear line forming a single tear line provided in the first side wall and a second tear line provided in the second of two opposite flexible side walls, the second the tear line forms a single tear line provided in the second side wall. The first and second separation lines extend, at least partially without overlapping each other, from a common starting point, so that after the separation of said tongue, the wall section of the inner surface of the first side wall opens.

Thus, the present invention provides an improved package type "package" for use with a drinking tube. The package has a top corner containing a tongue, which can be separated to form a hole in the package. The tongue may be separated by tearing along the opening initiation means. Obviously, the tongue can alternatively be separated by cutting.

However, if the tongue is separated by tearing, then such a tearing process is guided by the tear lines of the opening initiation means. Due to the fact that the separation lines pass, at least partially without overlapping each other, after separation of the tongue, a certain section of the inner surface of the first side wall will open. The disclosed section provides improved access to the interior of the package when inserting a drinking tub. The end of the drinking tube can be placed on the open wall section, and by pressing the specified tube sideways to the opened wall section while pushing it into the package, the opening of the package will open, which was formed by the separation of the tongue, which will facilitate the insertion of the drinking pipe.

The first tear line forms a single tear line provided in the first side wall. Due to the fact that the first side wall is equipped with only one tear line, the probability of interaction with any additional tear lines during tearing is excluded.

The second tear line forms a single tear line provided in the second side wall. Due to the fact that the second side wall is equipped with only one tear line, the probability of interaction with any additional tear lines during tearing is excluded.

The first and second separation lines have a common starting point. This means that the first and second separation lines pass, overlapping each other along the initial section of the opening initiation means, which may facilitate the start of the separation of the tongue.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, the first and second tear lines may have a common endpoint. This means that the first and second tear lines can pass, overlapping each other along the final section of the opening initiating means, which can facilitate the process of completing the separation of the tongue.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, the first separation line runs straight. Thus, the open inner surface of the first side wall does not include protruding parts, for example, a valve or nozzle, which can be bent while pressing the end of the drinking tub from the side to the open surface.

According to another embodiment of the present invention, each of the first and second tear lines can be made in the form of attenuation in the corresponding side wall. Such attenuation can be achieved, for example, by die stamping, punching, laser notching, perforation or longitudinal cutting.

According to another embodiment of the present invention, the package may further comprise a seal forming a limited passage in the upper corner portion of the package, and it is possible to insert the drinking tub through the opening in the package formed after the tongue is separated and then through the limited passage. The limited passage channel can be fitted under the drinking tube so that it is possible to tightly insert the specified tube into the package.

According to yet another embodiment of the present invention, the package may further comprise a drinking tube held by one of the first and second side walls.

The first and second side walls of the package can be made of multilayer packaging material.

Package type "package" may additionally contain a bottom wall.

Package type "package" may be a package with a stable bottom.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of modifying a package of type “package” to enable insertion of a drinking tube, said method comprising the steps of: providing a package of type “package” comprising two opposite flexible side walls forming the upper corner portion of the package and provide opening opening means in said upper corner portion along which a tongue for opening the package should be separated. The opening initiation means comprises a first tear line provided in the first of two opposite flexible side walls, the first tear line forming a single tear line provided in the first side wall and a second tear line provided in the second of two opposite flexible side walls, the second the tear line forms a single tear line provided in the second side wall. The first and second tear lines are arranged so that they extend, at least partially without overlapping each other, from the common starting point, so that after the tongue is separated, the wall section of the inner surface of the first side wall opens, thereby allowing the insertion of a drinking tube into the package by placing the end of the drinking tube on the open wall section of the inner surface of the first side wall and pushing it sideways to the open wall section while pushing the drinking tube in the package ovku.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, a step in which opening opening means is provided in said upper corner portion is carried out by forming first and second tear lines in the web of packaging material, which is subsequently converted to “package” type packaging. Thus, it is possible to efficiently manufacture a plurality of “bag” packages, each of which is equipped with means for initiating the opening of the type disclosed above.

The features and advantages of the second aspect of the present invention are basically the same as those described in relation to the first aspect of the present invention and, accordingly, a reference is made to the foregoing.

The implementation of the invention

Next, the present invention will be more fully disclosed with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which preferred embodiments of the present invention are shown. However, the present invention can be implemented in many different ways, and it should not be considered that the present invention is limited to the embodiments set forth in the present description; more specifically, these embodiments reflect the completeness and depth of the present invention and fully convey its essence to those skilled in the art.

A package 1 of a package type in the form of a package with a stable bottom according to one embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIG. 1, to which reference is given here.

Package 1 can be used as a pre-prepared package, made with the possibility of filling and sealing in a filling machine. Alternatively, the packaging may be made in whole or in part in a filling machine.

Packaging 1 is particularly suitable for products in the form of liquid foods, such as milk, water, fruit drinks, juice or wine, but it is obvious that it can also be intended for products of any other form or other purpose.

Packing 1 may have any desired volume. The volume can be selected in such a way that the contents of the package are suitable for immediate consumption, while it can lie in the range from 100 to 400 ml.

The package 1 has three flexible walls, two of which form the first and second side walls 2, 3; and the third wall forms the bottom wall. The first side wall and the bottom wall are not visible in the drawing. The walls are connected along the connecting section 4 to define the compartment 5 for the product. The walls are made of flexible and flexible material, which means that the volume of the compartment 5 for the product depends on the relative distance between the walls. Thus, the volume of the compartment 5 for the product directly depends on the degree of filling of the package. In other words, package 1 refers to a folding type and is also referred to as a package type.

The walls of the package 1 are preferably connected in the connecting section 4 by welding. It is also possible to use other bonding methods, for example, bonding.

The package 1 shown has an upper corner portion 6 equipped with opening opening means 7 along which a tongue 8 should be separated to open the package. When separating the tongue 8 from the package 1, an opening 9 is formed, which provides the communication of the compartment 5 for the product with the environment. The opening initiating means 7 and the opening 9 will be discussed in detail below.

The opening initiation means 7 may be performed before, during or after the manufacture of the package 1. For example, the packaging material web may be equipped with a sequence of opening initiation means 7 at predetermined locations, the packaging material web being subsequently converted to packages of the type shown in FIG. one.

8 generally, it is desirable that the selected packaging material consist of a multilayer film, while it may contain an inner layer of mineral filler and a binder of polyolefin. It should be understood that it is also possible to use other materials and layers, for example, a gas-tight layer or a light-tight layer. The packaging material may also be a transparent packaging material, that is, each of the layers forming such a material is transparent.

At the rear end of the package 1, a pen compartment 10 is shown, filled with gas and forming a pen 11. The pen compartment 10 is defined by two side walls 2, 3 and a peripheral connecting portion 4. However, it should be understood that the present invention also relates to packages equipped with handle of other types or no handle at all.

As mentioned above, the handle compartment 10 is filled with gas to form the handle 11 of the package 1. By gas, air is preferably understood, but it is obvious that other gases are also possible. The handle compartment 10 has such a geometric shape and degree of filling as to ensure that the handle 11 is easily gripped when inflated. Such a handle 11, due to its geometrical shape and gas filling, can also contribute to the significant rigidity of the package 1.

The package 1 can be opened by separating the tongue 8, as a result of which an opening 9 of the package is formed. Obviously, the tongue can be separated by cutting or another similar method, but preferably the tongue 8 is separated by tearing.

When the tongue 8 is separated, the tongue 8 may completely detach from the package. Alternatively, the tongue 8 may remain attached to the package after separation, so that all packaging material can be disposed of after use.

As mentioned above, the package 1 has an upper corner portion 6 equipped with opening opening means 7. In this context, opening initiation means 7 is understood to mean a system comprising two tear lines provided in the corresponding of two side walls 2, 3, and tear lines directing the tear propagation process when the tongue 8 is separated from the package by manual tearing.

Thus, the opening initiation means 7 comprises a first 12 and a second 13 tear line provided in the first 2 and second 3 side walls, respectively. The first tear line 12 is indicated by a dashed line and forms a single tear line provided in the first side wall 2, and the second tear line 13 forms a single tear line provided in the second side wall 3. Thus, the upper corner portion 6 of the package 1 according to the illustrated embodiment equipped with only one means 7 of initiating the opening.

Each of the first and second separation lines 12, 13 can be made in the form of attenuation in the corresponding side wall 2, 3, provided, for example, by die cutting, punching, laser notching, perforation or longitudinal cutting. Tear lines can be designed so that the integrity of the package is maintained. As mentioned above, the opening initiation means 7 and, in particular, the tear lines 12, 13 of the opening initiating means 7 can be formed before, during or after the manufacture of the package 1.

As follows from the drawing, the separation lines 12, 13 pass, without partially overlapping each other.

According to the illustrated example and, as follows from the enlarged fragment shown in FIG. 1, the first and second tear lines 12, 13 have a common starting point 14 and extend, partially overlapping each other, along the first section S1 of the opening initiation means 7. The separation lines 12, 13 then extend, without overlapping each other, along the second section S2 corresponding to the width W of the hole 9 formed by removing the tongue 8. Finally, the separation lines 12, 13 extend, overlapping each other, along the third section S3 and end in common endpoint 15.

In the illustrated embodiment, the starting point 14 and the end point 15 are located at the free edge of the connecting section 4 on the corresponding side of the opening 9 of the package 1. It should be understood that the starting point 14 and / or end point 15 can be located at a distance from the free edge of the connecting section on the corresponding side of the opening 9. In this case, when the tongue 8 is separated from the package 1, the initial and / or final separation will not be sent by the opening initiation means.

Since the first and second tear lines 12, 13 in the illustrated embodiment have a common starting point 14 and extend overlapping each other along the first section of the opening initiation means 7, the initial separation of the tongue along the opening initiating means 7 is facilitated.

Accordingly, since the first and second tear lines 12, 13 in the illustrated embodiment have a common end point 15 and extend overlapping each other along the third section of the opening 7, the final separation of the tongue along the opening initiation means 7 is facilitated.

As mentioned above, the tongue 8 may be positioned so that it remains attached to the package after separation. This can be achieved due to the fact that the tear-off lines 12, 13 of the opening initiation means have a common starting point and separate end points (not shown). The final separation in this case will be perceived as an increase in resistance, since the separation extends from the hole into the connecting section on the other side of the hole, making it clear to the user that it is necessary to stop or stop further separation in order to leave the tongue connected to the package due to the small length of the connecting section . A similar effect can, for example, be obtained by providing a common endpoint for two tear lines in the connecting portion at a distance from the free edge of the package, as shown in the embodiment of FIG. 6a-b.

The expression "separation lines pass, overlapping each other" means that the separation lines pass in the corresponding side wall one above the other; and accordingly, the expression “separation lines pass without overlapping each other” means that the separation lines do not pass one above the other in the corresponding side wall, as can be seen from the side view of FIG. one.

As follows from the drawings, the first separation line 12 runs straight, and the second separation line 13 runs curved. In particular, the second separation line 13 deviates from the first separation line 12 along the first part of the second section S2 and then bends back and converges with the first separation line 12 along the second part of the second section S2.

In the illustrated example, the package 1 is further equipped with a seal 16 in the upper corner portion 6, forming a limited passage channel 17 provided between the hole 9 formed when the tongue 8 is removed and the compartment 5 for the product of the package 1.

As mentioned above, the package is opened by removing or separating the tongue 8 along the opening initiating means 7, thereby forming an opening 9. In FIG. 2, to which reference is given here, package 1 is shown in an open state. The tongue 8 was separated from the package 1 along the opening initiation means 7, as a result of which an opening 9 was obtained which allows the compartment 5 to communicate with the environment.

The tongue 8 can be separated by tearing, while the tearing lines 12, 13 of the opening initiation means 7 will direct the tearing process. As a result of the fact that the first and second separation lines 12, 13 extend, without overlapping each other, along the second section S2 of the opening initiation means 7, after removing the tongue 8, the wall section 18 of the inner surface of the first side wall 2 will open.

The disclosed wall section 18 of the inner surface of the first side wall 2 can be used to facilitate the process of inserting the drinking tub into the compartment 5 for the product of packaging 1, which will be further described in detail with reference to FIG. 3a-b.

In FIG. 3a, the end 19 of the drinking tube 20 is placed on the open section 18 of the wall of the inner surface. By pressing the drinking tube 20 and its end 19 against the open wall section 18, the opening 9 of the package 1 opens and the drinking tube 20 can be pushed into the package 1, as shown in FIG. 3b. Thus, the opened wall section 18 of the inner surface of the first side wall 2 greatly facilitates the insertion of the drinking tube 20 into the package 1.

As mentioned above, the first separation line 12 runs straight. As a result, the opened wall section 18 does not include protruding parts that could bend or deform when pressed against the side of the end of the drinking tube 19, which facilitates the process of inserting the specified tube 20. In this case, the hole 9 will open in response to pressing to the open wall section 18.

As seen in FIG. 3b, the drinking tube 20 is inserted into the packaging product compartment 5 through a limited passage 17 formed by the seal 16. Due to the suitable design of the passage 17, the passage of the drinking tube 20 through the restricted passage 17 can be hermetically sealed, resulting which can be avoided or at least significantly reduced the leakage of the contents of the package 1 through a limited passage channel 17 and from it through the opening 9 of the package 1 when inserting the drinking tube 20 into the package 1. 1. Thus, the accidental compression of the package will only lead to the fact that the contents rise up and push through the tube, and not squeezed out through the hole.

It should be understood that the present invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiments.

For example, a package of type "package" does not have to be a package in the form of a package with a stable bottom. That is, a package of the type “package” may be a package in the form of a pillow having only two opposite side walls.

In addition, in the illustrated embodiments of the proposed packaging, a limited passage channel formed by a seal is provided, but it should be understood that the present invention is also applicable to packages not having such a limited passage channel.

Also, the package may be equipped with a drinking tube, which, for example, can be held by one of the two side walls of the package. When the user wants to consume the contents of the package, the drinking tubes can be detached from the package and then inserted into the package after separating the tongue.

Moreover, the means of initiating the opening may have a different design. Several such embodiments are shown in FIG. 4a-b and 5a-b.

In FIG. 4a-b, the first and second separation lines 12, 13 are curved in opposite directions along a predetermined section of the opening initiation means 7.

In FIG. 5a-b, the first separation line 12 runs straight. The second tear-off line 13 extends, overlapping the first tear-off line 12 with the exception of the section along which the second tear-off line 13 forms a semicircular protrusion 21, which will open the wall section 18 of the inner surface of the first side wall 2 when the tongue 8 is separated.

Thus, various modifications and changes are possible that fall within the scope of protection of the present invention, which is exclusively defined by the attached claims.

Packaging type "package" for liquid contents, containing: two opposite flexible side walls (2, 3), forming the upper corner section (6), equipped with means for initiating the opening, along which you should separate the tab (8) to open the package, moreover, the means for initiating the opening contains (7): a first separation line (12) provided in a first (2) of two opposite flexible side walls (2, 3), the first separation line (12) forming a single separation line provided in the first side wall (2), and a second separation line (3) provided in a second (3) of two opposite flexible side walls (2, 3), the second separation line (13) forming a single separation line provided in the second side wall (3), moreover, the first and second separation lines (12, 13) extend, at least partially without overlapping each other, from the common starting point (14), so that it is possible to open the wall section (18) of the inner surface of the first side wall (2) after separation tongue (8). 2.
