Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of pyrometallurgy of lithium and can be used to extract lithium from natural brines, technological solutions and wastewater from oil and gas, chemical, chemical-metallurgical and biochemical industries.
- 64 с.).A known method of extracting lithium from brines using granulated sorbent based on manganese dioxide (ISM-1), which is filled with a column for work in the cycles of lithium sorption-desorption. The desorption of lithium carry 0.2 n. a solution of nitric acid (Ostroushko Yu.I., Degtereva TV Hydromineral raw materials - an inexhaustible source of lithium. Analytical review. - M: TsNIIATOMINFORM, 1999. - 64 p.).
The disadvantages of the method are the use at the stage of desorption of lithium aggressive and hazardous chemical reagent - nitric acid, which has fire and explosion hazardous properties and emit toxic fumes, as well as the need to utilize or neutralize spent nitric acid; the need for further purification of eluates from calcium and magnesium impurities.
A known method of extracting lithium from brines based on crystalline lithium aluminate LiCl⋅2Al (OH) 3 ⋅nH 2 O, synthesized inside the pores of a macroporous ion-exchange resin, and using this sorbent in sorption columns with a fixed filter layer, with elution (desorption) of lithium and consistent passing the eluate through a system of columns for its concentration (US patent No. 42291001, Cl. 423-179.5, 1981). To this end, a salt of a non-competing metal is added to the eluate, for example, NaCl or CaCl 2 . The column system is operated under the condition that the brine is heated to a temperature of more than 60 ° C.
The disadvantages of the method are the complexity of the hardware design (system of columns), the use of salt to concentrate the eluate, high energy costs, because It is necessary to use only heated brines to extract lithium.
A method of obtaining lithium chloride from solutions and installation for its implementation using granular sorbent (application WO No. 03/037794, IPC C01D 15/04. Publ. 08.05.2003). The use of a granular sorbent based on a defective variety of the compound LiCl⋅2Al (BUT) 3 HmH 2 O instead of crystalline granules containing the hydrated compound LiCl / Al (OH) 3 allows all, without exception, operations of the enrichment process to be performed at room temperature, thus obtaining the primary lithium concentrate with a content of LiCl of 5.2-6.0 g / l and a total content of impurities (MgCl 2 + CaCl 2 ) of not more than 5.0 g / l, which allows you to further concentrate it on lithium chloride to ≥300 g / l and use to obtain LiCl and Li 2 CO 3 . At the same time using the unit with a moving layer of granular sorbent allows to minimize the mass of its one-time loading.
Also known is a method of selective sorption extraction of lithium from brines (RU Patent No. 2050330, IPC
The disadvantage of these methods is the use in the process of enrichment of a moving granular layer of sorbent, which leads to mechanical wear due to abrasion of the granules, which is annually more than 37% of the mass of one-time loading of the sorbent. In addition, for the implementation of the method of enrichment with a moving layer of sorbent requires complex and unique equipment. Also disadvantages include washing the granules of the sorbent from alkaline and alkaline-earth impurities with a solution of lithium chloride, which leads to its pollution and, consequently, additional costs for its cleaning, which ultimately will increase the cost of the manufactured lithium-containing product.
The closest to the claimed invention is a method of obtaining lithium concentrate from lithium-containing natural brines and its processing (patent RU No. 2516538, IPC C01D 15/04, publ. 20.05.2014), including obtaining lithium concentrate by sorption enrichment of brine in lithium in sorption-desorption concentrating module using granulated sorbent based on chlorine-containing variety of double aluminum and lithium hydroxide; washing of granulated sorbent saturated with lithium chloride from brine; desorption of lithium chloride from the sorbent to obtain a primary lithium concentrate - a solution of lithium chloride with impurities of magnesium and calcium chlorides, ion-exchange purification of lithium concentrate from impurities, concentration of a solution of lithium chloride, obtaining single-water lithium chloride.
The disadvantage of this method is that washing of granulated sorbent saturated with lithium chloride from brine is carried out with primary lithium concentrate or sodium chloride solution, which in the case of primary lithium concentrate will lead to additional contamination of about 15% of the volume of primary lithium concentrate with magnesium and calcium chlorides and, respectively, the additional cost of cleaning it, and in the case of sodium chloride solution - the need to bear the fixed costs of purchasing chl Sodium hydride (table salt) and disposal of waste sodium chloride solution, as well as the cost of maintaining and maintaining a reagent industry (tank, pumping equipment), which ultimately increases the cost of manufactured lithium-containing product (carbonate, chloride, fluoride, bromide, hydroxide monohydrate and etc.).
Technical objectives of the invention are to increase the efficiency of sorption extraction of lithium from lithium-containing chloride brines by reducing the content of impurities, eliminating the loss of lithium, simplifying the technology by reducing the number of process steps and the number of used chemical reagents, minimizing waste water to be processed and / or recycling, reducing the cost of commodity lithium-containing product.
Technical problem solved by a method of sorption extraction of lithium from lithium-containing chloride brines, comprising obtaining lithium concentrate by sorption enrichment brine of lithium in the sorption-desorption enrichment module with granular sorbent based on chlorine-containing species double hydroxide of aluminum and lithium, washing with saturated lithium chloride granulated sorbent from the brine , desorption of lithium chloride from the sorbent with desalted water to obtain a primary lithium concentrate ata - lithium chloride solution doped with magnesium and calcium chloride, lithium primary cleaning concentrate of impurities.
New is that the washing of the brine from the granulated sorbent layer is carried out with water in the direction opposite to the filtering direction of the original lithium chloride brine in a volume of 90 to 130% of the volume of granulated sorbent used in the sorption-desorption enrichment module, and the brine after washing is sent to the flow of the original lithium-containing brine supplied to the sorption.
The essence of the method is as follows. The raw material used is the original lithium-containing chloride brine, which is a natural brine (for example, produced water produced in oil production, geothermal water, etc.), technological solution or wastewater from oil and gas, chemical, chemical, metallurgical and biochemical industries. The original lithium-containing chloride brine is fed to the sorption-desorption enrichment module, which is a vertical column loaded with a granular sorbent based on a chlorine-containing variety of double aluminum and lithium hydroxide. Sorption of lithium from the original lithium-containing chloride brine is carried out in a sorption-desorption module with a fixed bed of sorbent by filtering the original brine on the duct or in portions in the directions of filtering from the bottom up. Upon reaching the saturation of the sorbent by lithium, the filtration of the initial lithium-containing chloride brine is stopped and the layer of granulated sorbent is washed from the brine with desalted water (for example, distilled) from top to bottom in a volume equal to from 90 to 130% of the volume of granular sorbent used in sorption-desorption processing module, and the displaced brine is sent to the flow of the original lithium-containing brine supplied to the sorption-desorption enrichment module for processing the next portion starting lithiated chloride brine. Next, lithium is desorbed by passing fresh demineralized water through a sorption-desorption enrichment module to the duct or in portions in the direction of flow from top to bottom. The solution obtained as a result of desorption is a primary lithium concentrate, which contains in its composition minimum concentrations of calcium and magnesium impurities.
C01D 15/04:Next, the resulting primary lithium concentrate is subjected to deeper purification from magnesium and calcium and subsequent concentration by any known method, for example, according to the options proposed in the patent RU№2516538, IPC

Secondary lithium concentrates, obtained by any of these options, are used to obtain a marketable lithium-containing product, for example, carbonate, fluoride, bromide, hydroxide, lithium hydroxide monohydrate, etc.
The proposed method has the following advantages over the prototype:
- технологические: повышение эффективности сорбционного извлечения лития из литийсодержащих хлоридных рассолов за счет снижения содержания примесей, исключения потерей лития, упрощение аппаратурного оформления технологии обогащения рассола по литию путем уменьшения количества технологических узлов и стадий (например, отсутствие необходимости в реагентном хозяйстве для приготовления и дозирования раствора хлорида натрия, отсутствие в необходимости дополнительной очистки литиевого концентрата от примесей кальция и магния);- technological: increasing the efficiency of sorption extraction of lithium from lithium-containing chloride brines by reducing the content of impurities, eliminating the loss of lithium, simplifying the instrumentation of the technology of brine enrichment by lithium by reducing the number of technological units and stages (for example, there is no need for a chemical reagent for preparing and dosing the solution sodium chloride, the absence of the need for additional purification of lithium concentrate from calcium and magnesium impurities);

Examples of specific performance.
1.The original lithium chloride brine, having the following ionic composition, g / dm 3 : lithium Li + - 0,0075; sodium Na + - 57.11; chlorine Cl - - 129.49; magnesium Mg 2+ - 3.72; calcium Ca 2+ - 17,62, filtered in a downward direction through a sorption-desorption enrichment module, which is a vertical column loaded with a granular sorbent based on chlorine-containing varieties of double aluminum and lithium hydroxide. The amount of sorbent used is 8.1 dm 3 . Bring the sorbent to saturation by fixing the alignment before and after the sorption-desorption enrichment module concentration of lithium in the brine and the filtering process of the original lithium-containing chloride brine is stopped. Then, desalted (distilled) water is fed from the top down to the sorption-desorption enrichment module with a saturated sorbent, while determining the concentration of lithium, calcium and magnesium in the water at the output of the sorption-desorption enrichment module. The research results are presented in FIG. one.
When demineralized water is supplied with a volume from 7.3 to 10.5 dm 3 , which makes up from 90 to 130% of the volume of granulated sorbent used, the main part of calcium and magnesium impurities contained in the sorption-desorption enrichment module is washed off. , 8% and 95.0-98.5%, respectively. This effect of washing off impurities of granulated sorbent in the prototype is achieved either by feeding portions of the primary lithium concentrate or NaCl solution, which in any case increases the cost of the commercial lithium-containing product produced, Since in the first case additional costs are required for the subsequent purification of the primary lithium concentrate from impurities, and second case - additional costs for the purchase of sodium chloride, the disposal of its spent solution and the content of reagent management for Feeding and supplying sodium chloride solution.
Further, in the proposed method, demineralized water containing calcium and magnesium impurities with concentrations of 9.015-10.644 and 2.340-2.725 g / dm 3, respectively, is sent to the original lithium-containing brine stream fed to the sorption-desorption enrichment module for processing the next portion of the original lithium-containing chloride brine. Since the concentration of calcium and magnesium in demineralized water after washing does not exceed the concentration of calcium and magnesium in the original lithium chloride brine, their mixing will not lead to negative consequences, for example, the precipitation of calcium and magnesium salts. Also, the supply of demineralized water after washing into the stream of the next batch of processed source lithium-containing brine in the sorption-desorption enrichment module contributes to the fact that lithium contained in the demineralized water after washing with a concentration of 0.0352-0.0634 g / dm 3 is absorbed by the sorbent sorption-desorption enrichment module, which eliminates the loss of lithium in the process of its extraction from the lithium-containing chloride brine.
Then, after washing the saturated granulated sorbent on the sorption-desorption enrichment module, by supplying the following portions of demineralized water, the lithium itself is directly desorbed from the sorbent to produce a primary lithium concentrate with a lithium concentration of 0.15-0.67 g / dm 3 and the minimum impurity level 0,042-0,108 g / dm 3 of calcium and 0,026-0,048 g / dm 3 of magnesium, respectively, which is further subjected to deeper purification from magnesium and calcium and subsequent concentration by any known method.
