Abstract
Description
The invention relates to methods for producing high molecular weight compounds, in particular, to methods for producing copolyester ethers with high temperature polycondensation, having high heat resistance and improved physical and mechanical characteristics.
Among the various classes of polymers, polycondensation polymers, and especially aromatic polyesters, occupy an important place. First of all, this is due to the unique combination of a number of valuable properties in them. The increase in consumption and the expansion of applications of aromatic polyesters is accompanied by an increase in the requirements for their operational and technological characteristics. Of particular interest is the creation of a polymeric material intended for 3D printing based on polyetherketone copolymers (PEC), which have a number of valuable properties, in particular, increased heat resistance, and improved physical and mechanical characteristics. An important factor is the creation of material that can easily form products on standard 3D equipment.
In this regard, the synthesis of PEC copolymers intended for 3D printing with a combination of high heat-resistant and physico-mechanical properties is currently an urgent task.
A known method of producing copolymers based on polyetherketone according to the patent for the invention of Japan JPH04220425A. A heat-resistant copolymer having a high glass transition temperature and low crystallinity is obtained by reacting dihalogenobenzonitrile and 4,4' - biphenol in the presence of an alkali metal in a neutral polar solvent.
Application for invention JP2001288135 describes the preparation of aromatic polyetherketone, the main component of which is 1 mol of an aromatic ketone-containing compound having a chlorine atom and a phenolic hydroxyl group at the ends of the molecules, interacting with 0.9-1.015 mol of an alkaline agent including phenolates.
From the RF patent for the invention RU 2494118, a method for producing polyetherketones is known, which consists in the fact that in the first stage, a reaction is carried out between the dioxo compound and 4,4'-dichlorobenzophenone in the presence of potassium carbonate in N, N-dimethylacetamide (DMAA) in a stream of nitrogen for 3 hours at a temperature of 165 ° C and in the second stage, the reaction is carried out between the resulting oligomers with terminal phenoxide groups with 4,4'-difluorobenzophenone for 4 hours under the same conditions. The technical result consists in optimizing the synthesis process, obtaining high molecular weight polyetherketones, reducing the cost of the product and eliminating the gelation process.
RF patent RU 2375383 describes a method for producing polyarylene ether ketone, comprising: reacting an aromatic dihalogen compound with bisphenol and / or halogen phenol in the presence of alkali and / or alkaline earth metal carbonate or hydrogen carbonate in a high boiling aprotic solvent; wet crushing in the presence of a suitable organic solvent and simultaneous preliminary extraction of the hardened reaction mixture; extracting and filtering the wet crushed product in a nut filter operating at a pressure of 1 to 10 bar, and drying the extracted product. The proposed method allows to improve the processing technology of the reaction mixture, to eliminate losses and contamination of the reaction product.
The main disadvantage of this method is the lack of characteristics of the properties of the materials obtained, which does not give a "complete picture" of the obtained PEC and copolymers based on it.
The closest in technical essence and the achieved effect to the proposed method is the patent for the invention CN 101245139 "Method for producing polyether ketones and polyether ether ketones." According to the authors, 4,4'-dihydroxybenzophenone together with a solution of diphenylsulfone, hydroquinone with a deficiency of 4,4'-difluorobenzophenone are used as synthesis components, they were mixed and subjected to heating, then an alkaline agent was added at a temperature of the reaction medium of 155-165 ° С, Subsequently, the temperature increased to 180-190 ° C and was maintained for 30-60 minutes. At this stage the first stage was completed. The temperature of the reaction medium increased to 230-260 ° C and was also maintained for 30-60 minutes. This was the end of the second stage. The temperature rose again to 320-340 ° C within 1-3 hours and the polymerization was completed. The resulting emulsion polymer was poured into water at room temperature for cooling and precipitation. The polymer was extracted from an aqueous solution and ground. They dried it in an oven only after the residual moisture content in it reached 0.5%. The main disadvantage of the material according to the invention is the use of high boiling diphenyl sulfone as a solvent, which leads to the complexity and material consumption of the purification of the final synthesis product from a solid solvent and low molecular weight reaction products. Also, the use of this type of solvent requires significant energy costs and high consumption of highly toxic solvents. An important disadvantage of the invention is the lack of investigated material properties, high temperature synthesis and the duration of the production process.
3D.The technical result of the claimed invention is the creation of a PEC copolymer based on 4,4'-dihydroxybenzophenone (4,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl ketone), diane (4,4'-dihydroxyphenylpropane, bisphenol A) and 4,4'-difluorobenzophenone (4,4'- difluorodiphenyl ketone), the use of a water-soluble solvent that can be easily removed from the copolymer, which can eliminate the use of a large volume of highly toxic solvent when washing the target product and significantly simplify the process, eliminating the stage of crushing of the copolymer to obtain a powder, p selection of optimal ratios of reactants for precise control of the molecular weight of the copolymer during the synthesis process, optimization of the synthesis process by lowering the temperature regime, as well as study of copolymer samples obtained by injection molding and 3D printing.
Said technical result is achieved by reacting the monomers digidroksidifenilpropana 4,4'-and 4,4 '-digidroksibenzofenona 0,27-0,03 mol: 0,03-0,27 mol or 90-10%: 10-90%; 0.3 mol of 4,4'-difluorobenzophenone; potassium carbonate in the amount of 50% excess or 0.45 mol acts as an alkaline agent; as a solvent 0.9 mol / l of dimethylacetamide.
The invention is illustrated by the following examples.
Example 1. Synthesis of copolyetherketone with 10% 4,4'-dihydroxybenzophenone.
In a 3-necked flask equipped with a stirrer, a Dean-Stark trap, a reflux condenser, an inert gas outlet and a thermocouple, 61.6385 g (0.27 mol) of 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenylpropane, 65.46 g (0, 3 mol) of 4,4'-difluorobenzophenone, 62.19 g of potassium carbonate and 500 ml of DMAA. The reaction mixture is heated to the boiling point of DMAA to distill off the water from the reaction mixture. The synthesis of the oligomer is carried out at 165 ° C for 2 hours. Then, 6.33 g (0.03 mol) of 4,4'-dihydroxybenzophenone with 50 ml of DMAA was added to the reaction mixture and the synthesis was carried out for 1 hour. The resulting copolymer is cooled and precipitated in acidified water with 10% oxalic acid to a neutral medium. The polymer is washed with hot distilled water. The purpose of the washing is to remove the reaction solvent, inorganic salts, residual monomers and other compounds from the PEC copolymer. Increased amounts of by-products or solvent in the polymer lead to various technical disadvantages of the final products, i.e. molded parts, usually obtained by injection molding, extrusion or 3D printing. They form waviness on the surface, lead to the effects of odor, to the formation of bubbles and to a decrease in the mechanical characteristics of the material. Moreover, certain by-products are potentially toxic and may result in personal injury. Dry the polymer under vacuum at a temperature of 120 ° C for 12-24 hours.
Example 2. Synthesis of copolyetherketone with 30% 4,4'-dihydroxybenzophenone.
To a 3-necked flask equipped with a stirrer, a Dean-Stark trap, a reflux condenser, an inert gas outlet and a thermocouple, 47.94 g (0.21 mol) of 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenylpropane, 65.46 g (0, 3 mol) of 4,4'-difluorobenzophenone, 62.19 g of potassium carbonate and 500 ml of DMAA. The reaction mixture is heated to the boiling point of DMAA to distill off the water from the reaction mixture. The synthesis of the oligomer is carried out at 165 ° C for 2 hours. Then, 19.00 g (0.09 mol) of 4,4'-dihydroxybenzophenone with 50 ml of DMAA are added to the reaction mixture and the synthesis is carried out for 1.5 hours.
