Description
The invention relates to a method for refining ferrosilicon from aluminum and calcium.
П. Е. Н. - 1987. - 9. - С. 47-49).A known method of refining ferrosilicon from aluminum by processing slag in after melting in an electric arc furnace. (See Obtaining high-purity ferrosilicon in an electric furnace / Yu.P. Kanaev, N.E. Molchanov, A.N. Sidorov, etc. // Steel. - 1987. - 9. - P. 47-49).
0,3-0,5%.In the known method, the feedstock - conversion 75% ferrosilicon with a limited (less than 1%) aluminum content, previously smelted on clean charge materials in an ore-thermal furnace, was smelted in an electric furnace DSP-6 with acid lining, specially installed in the smelting shop No. 2 Kuznetsk Ferroalloy Plant. Lumpy conversion ferrosilicon was melted in a mixture with an oxidizing mixture of 35% calcined lime and 65% quartzite; the melt was stirred with a wooden lath for 10 minutes. As a result, the aluminum content decreased from 0.8-1.0% to 0.3-0.5%.
4-6%.After this, primary slag was downloaded and a new one was made from the oxidizing mixture of the previous composition. After secondary treatment, the aluminum content decreased to 0.05-0.1%, calcium to 0.05-0.06%. The silicon content decreased by 4-6%.
The disadvantages of the known method, adopted as a prototype, include:
1. The need to organize special production of ferrosilicon with a limited aluminum content of less than 1%. This requires the use of pure quartzite for aluminum and special low-ash reducing agents - low-ash coals, oil or pitch coke, etc. Accordingly - the cost of conversion and refined ferrosilicon increases.
2. The inability to obtain refined ferrosilicon with an aluminum and calcium content of 0.02-0.05%, which is required for the production of rail steel.
The first drawback is due to the fact that for the production of ferrosilicon of usual quality coke is used with ash content (the main source of aluminum and calcium in ferrosilicon) - 15-17% and coal with ash content up to 9%. Moreover, FS65 grade ferrosilicon of normal quality contains aluminum up to 2.0% and calcium up to 0.7%, FS75 ferrosilicon contains aluminum up to 2.5% and calcium up to 0.8%. Removing such an amount of aluminum and calcium to a content of less than 0.05% due to treatment with two slags is impossible, and an increase in the number of ferrosilicon treatments with refining slag, the composition of the above, leads to an increase in losses of ferrosilicon with downloadable slag. This, accordingly, leads to a sharp increase in the cost of suitable refined ferrosilicon.
п.Therefore, in practice, according to the specified technology-analogue, two-stage technology is used. The first stage is the smelting of ferrosilicon in an ore-thermal furnace with a limited content of impurities through the use of low-ash reducing agents - coal with an ash content of not more than 5%, petroleum and pitch coke with an ash content of not more than 1.0%, etc.
The second drawback is due to the fact that between the refining slag and molten ferrosilicon during the mixing process, a certain equilibrium is established for the content of aluminum and calcium. As soon as the content of aluminum and calcium in the slag exceeds the equilibrium, aluminum and calcium again turn into ferrosilicon. (Law of mass distribution). Thus, the slag capacity for aluminum and calcium is limited. As a result of two treatments of the ferrosilicon melt with refining slag (using the technology analogous) to obtain an aluminum content of 0.05-0.1% is not enough.
The inventive technology proposes a one-stage scheme for the production of refined ferrosilicon with the use of no more than two treatments by refining slag. It is proposed to use oxidizing slag consisting of lime and an oxidizing additive (iron ore pellets, iron ore concentrate, iron ore, etc.) in an amount of 3-5% of the weight of the initial ferrosilicon with a ratio of lime: oxidative additive, as 1: 1,5 -2.5, in which to further increase the efficiency of removing aluminum and calcium (by increasing the liquid mobility of the slag), fluorspar is added in an amount of 6-7.5% of the weight of the refining slag-forming substances (lime + oxidizing additive). The refining slag mixture used makes it possible to use ferrosilicon of the usual quality as a starting material, as described above - with an aluminum content of up to 2.5% and calcium up to 0.8% (in the FS75 alloy) and to obtain aluminum and calcium in refined using two slag treatments ferrosilicon 0.02-0.05%. As the initial ferrosilicon it turns out to be economically feasible and technologically more convenient to use not lumpy ferrosilicon, as in the technology-analogue, but screenings from crushing of ferrosilicon of the usual quality, which are formed when the ferrosilicon is sieved into fractions, i.e. - ferrosilicon fraction 0-10 (0-15) mm. Ferrosilicon fraction 0-10 (0-15) mm is in limited demand in the market and is usually sold at a discount of 12-14%. This significantly increases the economic efficiency of the production of refined ferrosilicon.
ПримерExample
0,02-0,05%.A slag mixture consisting of: 50 kg of lime + 100 kg of iron ore pellets + 15 kg of fluorspar is poured onto the bottom of the hearth of the DSP-5 electric furnace. On top of the slag mixture, 4 tons of fines of ferrosilicon FS65 with a fraction of 0-15 mm with an aluminum content of 1.6-1.8% and calcium 0.4-0.6% are covered. The electrodes are lowered into the trifle, the furnace is turned on at the maximum voltage level and the electric arc is ignited. They switch to medium power and carry out the melting of ferrosilicon. Upon reaching the melt temperature of 1630-1650 ° C, mixing (sparging) of the furnace bath is carried out with wooden slats with a section of 100 × 100 mm for 10 minutes on a disconnected furnace. After this, the slag is manually downloaded through the threshold of the working window into the slag, and the second refining slag, which also consists of: 50 kg of lime + 100 kg of iron ore pellets + 15 kg of fluorspar, is returned to the mirror of molten ferrosilicon using a filling machine. The furnace is turned on at medium power to melt the slag and heat the melt to a temperature of 1630-1650 ° C. After this, a second bubbling of the furnace bath is carried out with wooden slats with a section of 100 × 100 mm for 10 minutes. Turn on the furnace at minimum power and reheat the melt to a temperature of 1630-1650 ° C. After this, the ferrosilicon is drained together with slag into the ladle and the refined ferrosilicon is cast according to the molds. The content of aluminum and calcium in ferrosilicon is 0.02-0.05%.
After cooling, the ingots of refined ferrosilicon are removed from the molds and sent to the consumer (in the preparation workshop of the steelmaking charge) for use in the production of rail steel.
