Изобретение относится к сельскому хозяйству и представляет собой способ защиты томатов открытого грунта от колорадского жука, приводящих к большим потерям урожая сельскохозяйственных культур. Предлагается через каждые 70-80 рядов томатов с междурядьями 120-140 см высаживать по одному ряду рассады баклажана. Колорадский жук концентрируется на растениях баклажана и почти отсутствует на томатах. Вредитель уничтожается периодическим опрыскиванием растений баклажана по мере накопления личинок и взрослых насекомых колорадского жука одним из следующих химических препаратов: Децис Профи ВДГ, Стожар СП, Актара ВДГ, Суми-альфа КЭ.The invention relates to agriculture and is a method of protecting open-field tomatoes from the Colorado potato beetle, leading to large crop losses. Число опрыскиваний (3-6) зависит от численности личинок и жуков и их вредоносности. Применение химических препаратов значительно увеличивают расходы на единицу площади и приводят к пестицидной нагрузке на окружающую среду.
