Abstract
Description
The invention relates to methods for producing nitrates of alkaline earth metals, in particular barium nitrate, which in the form of a pure product is used in optics and the electrical industry.
5,0-7,0.Barium nitrate is widely used in various fields of industry: as a chemical reagent, to obtain other barium salts, in pyrotechnics, as well as in the most advanced fields of technology, in particular in optical glassmaking. So, for chemical products used in optical glass melting, its purity, expressed by the content of the basic substance and limited impurities, is very important. For the compound in question - barium nitrate, qualification (chemically pure), according to GOST 3777, these requirements include: the content of the main substance is not less than 99.5% by mass, the content of limited impurities, not more, (% by mass): water-insoluble substances - 5 · 10 -3 chlorides - 3 · 10 -4 , iron - 2 · 10 -4 , potassium and sodium - 1 · 10 -2 , calcium and strontium - 5 · 10 -2 , heavy metals - 5 · 10 -4 , as well as the pH of the solution drug with a mass fraction of 5% at the level of 5.0-7.0.
The purity of the barium nitrate used depends on the methods for its preparation. As the starting products in the synthesis of barium nitrate, for example, barium sulfide (SU 454176, C01F 11/40, 1974), barium chloride (US 2269000, 23-102, 1942; JP 75015235, C01D 7/08, 1975) are used, but in this case, the final product is obtained with an overestimated content of chlorides and sulfides. There are a number of methods for producing barium nitrate using ion exchange resins (GB 1017341, C01D 7/07, 1962) and zeolite (PL 51472, C01D 7/07, 1969). However, these methods used do not allow to obtain barium nitrate of the required purity. As follows from published information sources, the most applicable is the crystallization purification of barium nitrate. However, in most cases, barium nitrate is obtained in the form of a crystalline product by introducing nitric acid into a saturated solution of barium nitrate. For example, it is known to obtain crystals of barium nitrate by crystallizing a saturated solution of barium nitrate by adding concentrated nitric acid with a 9-11% supersaturation of the crystallized solution (SU 674987, C01D 7/18, 1979). The amount of acid introduced in this method is proposed to be carried out according to a specially developed program in which it is calculated by the formula, which includes such values as the density of the initial salt and acid solutions, the current and initial volume of the solution, the dosage interval and the salt concentration in the system. The content of limited impurities in the product obtained by this method is (% wt.): Cu - 2 · 10 -5 , Cu, Cr, Co, Mn, Ni, V - 5 · 10 -6 . Although this method produces a fairly pure product, the method itself is not technological, since there are certain difficulties in maintaining the degree of supersaturation of the solution at a constant level. An analogue of this method is a known method for producing industrial barium nitrate crystals by two-stage processing of a solution of barium nitrate with nitric acid and crystallization to achieve a certain concentration of barium nitrate: first 9.5-10.5 wt.%, And then 5-6 wt.%. (SU 973480, C01F 11/36, 1982). This method produces barium nitrate containing impurities (wt.%): Fe - 3 · 10 -4 , Ni, Co, Cu, Cr - at the level of 1 · 10 -6 wt.%. However, this process is quite laborious and not economically profitable, since it is multi-stage and requires additional equipment for the disposal of mother liquors.
This method is also used in a published Chinese patent to obtain highly pure barium nitrate with a limited strontium content of up to (1.3-1.8) · 10 -4 wt.% (CN 102583489, C01F 11/38, 2012). According to this patent, concentrated nitric acid is added to a solution of barium nitrate at a temperature of 85-90 ° C to a pH of 2.0-2.5, and then barium carbonate to a pH of 4.5-5.0, followed by filtration and washing with ionized water and drying.
In another method selected as a prototype, spectrally pure barium nitrate is obtained by purification of technical solid barium nitrate (CN 101891232, C01F 11/36, 2010). For this, the initial barium nitrate is dissolved in distilled water, and then, similarly to the methods described above, the barium nitrate solution is treated with nitric acid and the crystals separated by filtration are dried using spray drying. The main disadvantage of this method, as well as its analogues, can be called the use of nitric acid in the process, which makes the process environmentally unsafe, which negatively affects the possibility of its industrial use.
To create an economical, efficient, and industrially applicable technology for the production of pure barium nitrate, which provides a product that meets the requirements for optical glass melting products, a new method for purifying barium nitrate is proposed.
100-110°C.The proposed method for the purification of barium nitrate is carried out by dissolving the original solid barium nitrate in distilled water, carried out with stirring and heating to 95 ° C, followed by filtering the resulting solution of barium nitrate and then polythermal crystallization, which is carried out in two stages: first, when the temperature is lowered from 95 to 60 ° C at a speed of 8-10 degrees / hour, and then when the temperature drops from 60 to 25 ° C at a speed of 12-15 degrees / hour, after which the obtained crystals are filtered off, washed with distilled water and dried at 100-110 ° C.
Purification by filtration followed by polythermal crystallization is subjected to a previously prepared solution of barium nitrate, preferably having a 23.5-25.5% concentration.
100-110°C.The main essential feature of the proposed method is the use of the so-called polythermal crystallization method, which is carried out in two stages: first with a temperature step from 95 to 60 ° C at a speed of 8-10 degrees / hour, and then with a temperature step from 60 to 25 ° C and at a speed of 12-15 degrees / hour. After that, the obtained crystals are filtered off, washed and dried at 100-110 ° C.
The original solid barium nitrate technical is dissolved with stirring in distilled water, raising the temperature to 95 ° C until a 23.5-25.5% solution of barium nitrate is formed, which corresponds to the maximum solubility of barium nitrate in water at this temperature.
Для процесса сушки, например, используется сушилка типа СК - 1000 L.The crystallization process is carried out with continuous stirring, for example with a mechanical stirrer. The proposed method includes the stage of drying the product at a temperature of 100-110 ° C. For the drying process, for example, a type SK - 1000 L dryer is used.
2.These conditions are selected experimentally. A decrease or increase in the declared technological parameters leads to a decrease in the productivity of the process or to a deterioration in the quality of the product, which is confirmed by tables 1 and 2.
