Description

The invention relates to equipment for carrying out adsorption processes in a gas (steam) - adsorbent system.

с. 23.01.74.The closest technical solution to the claimed object is an adsorber containing a housing with a lid and a bottom and an adsorbent layer located between them by a.s. USSR No. 516415, B01D 53/02 of 01/23/74.

A disadvantage of the known adsorber is that it does not provide a high degree of purification of the gas stream from the target component and dust.

The technical result is an increase in the degree of purification of the gas stream from the target component by increasing the contact area of the adsorbent with the target component.

This is achieved by the fact that in an adsorber for purifying air from mercury-containing vapors containing a housing with a lid and an adsorbent, the housing and the lid are bolted through the gasket, and a glass is installed inside the housing, coaxially to it, around which insulation is laid from a soft heat-insulating basalt plate and in the glass, in the upper and lower parts, perforated disks are installed, while the volume of the glass between the disks is filled with adsorbent - a material in the form of granules with high adsorption capacity and vlyayuschim an activated carbon impregnated with sulfur, and between the discs and the adsorbent laid grid, wherein the lid is located pipe, contaminated air inlet, and in the case - a branch pipe discharging the purified air from mercury vapor.

The drawing shows a diagram of an adsorber.

The adsorber for purifying air from mercury-containing vapors contains a housing 10 and a cover 8 connected by bolts through a gasket 9. Inside the case, coaxially to it, a glass 7 is installed, around which insulation from a soft heat-insulating basalt plate is laid. Perforated disks 2 and 4 are installed in the glass (in the upper and lower parts). The volume of the glass between the disks is filled with adsorbent 3, a material in the form of granules, which has high adsorption ability and is an activated carbon impregnated with sulfur. To prevent the adsorbent from waking up through the openings of the perforated disks, nets are laid between the disks 2 and 4 and the adsorbent 3. A cover 5 is located in the lid 8 for supplying contaminated air, and in the case 10 there is a pipe 11 for discharging air cleared of mercury vapor. Regeneration is carried out by sharp steam through the nozzle 1 located in the lower part of the housing.

An adsorber for purifying air from vapors of mercury-containing substances works as follows.

1.Polluted air is supplied to the adsorber through the nozzle 5, passes through the adsorbent 3 and the cleaned is discharged through the nozzle 11. For regeneration, sharp steam is supplied through the nozzle 1.

The adsorber is used to purify air from vapors of mercury-containing substances, for example mercury-containing phosphor during the disposal of fluorescent lamps. The adsorber allows, together with the phosphor, to extract from each lamp at least 95 ... 97% of the mercury contained in it, which accumulates on activated carbon impregnated with sulfur.
