Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of ultrasonic inspection of defects in solids and can be used to detect defects in the rails of mainly railway transport and the subway during their high-speed control.
1, 1982).Known methods for ultrasonic monitoring of rails, in which transverse ultrasonic vibrations are pulsed into the rail by means of ultrasonic transducers or groups of ultrasonic transducers of various designs, move them along the longitudinal axis of the rail, accept transverse ultrasonic vibrations in predetermined time zones and determine the presence of defects by their parameters (e.g. SU 1732260 A1, 1992; RU 2184374 C1, 2002; RU 2353924 C1, 2007; US 4457178 A, 1984; GB 1506214 A, 1978; JP 2005180991 A, 2005; WO 82/03920 A1, 1982).
However, all known methods do not provide a high speed control while ensuring its necessary reliability. An increase in the control speed can be achieved with an increase in the scanning step, however, this leads to an unacceptable decrease in the reliability of the control (flaw detection results), since defects can be skipped.
At the same time, as the capacity of rail transport increases, less time is left to monitor the condition of the rails and eliminate the defects identified in them. Therefore, the creation of reliable methods for high-speed rail monitoring is an urgent task.
A known method of ultrasonic monitoring of rails, which allows to increase the speed of control through the use of a continuous radiation mode of ultrasonic transducers (Markov A. A. Methodology and means of ultrasonic monitoring of rails. Thesis for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences, 2003). However, it is difficult to conduct temporary selection and estimation of the coordinates of defects in depth, which reduces the objectivity of the control. In addition, the practical implementation of this method is limited by the sensitivity of ultrasonic transducers operating in a continuous mode, since their operation requires an increased electric voltage, which even at a value of over 20 V can lead to the loss of their performance due to overheating.
8 th ECNDT Barcelona 2002 Technical Papers, №156, p.1-9). Of the known methods, the closest to the proposed one is a method of high-speed continuous ultrasonic monitoring of rails, including radiation from the surface of the rail of ultrasonic vibrations by means of the main ultrasonic transducers placed at predetermined radiation points on the longitudinal axis of the rail, receiving reflected ultrasonic vibrations and measuring their parameters, according to the analysis results defective (Aharoni R. et al. A Novel high-speed rail inspection system. 8 th ECNDT Barcelona 2002 Technical Papers, No. 156, p.1-9). In this method, the SBF-100 / NT monitoring system was used, and by combining the parameters - the total duration of the sweep and its delay, which determine the frequency of sending the synchronization pulses of the excitation of the ultrasonic transducers, as well as the scanning step, the corresponding speed of the ultrasonic monitoring of the rails is ensured.
The highest ultrasonic control speed in this method is determined by the sum of the scan duration and scan delay, i.e. radiation-reception period, and scanning step (radiation-reception step). To exclude the effect of different radiation-reception cycles on one another, restrictions are imposed on the highest control speed. So, for example, for a scan step of 5 mm and a radiation-reception period of 250 μs, the radiation frequency is 4000 Hz and, as a result, the highest control speed is limited to 72 km / h. The control speed limit by this method is 86 km / h with a scan step of 6 mm and a scan duration of 250 μs. However, such a scanning step reduces the reliability of the control. An increase in the scanning step leads to a further decrease in the reliability of control.
The objective of the invention is to provide a method of high-speed continuous ultrasonic testing of rails, free from the disadvantages of the prototype. The technical result provided by the invention is to increase the speed of ultrasonic monitoring of rails while maintaining its reliability.
L-N.This is achieved by the fact that in the method of high-speed continuous ultrasonic monitoring of rails, which includes emitting ultrasonic vibrations from the rolling surface of the rail by means of the main ultrasonic transducers placed at predetermined radiation points on the longitudinal axis of the rail, receiving the reflected ultrasonic vibrations and measuring their parameters, from the analysis of which they are judged on the presence of defects, simultaneously with the radiation from the main points of radiation emit ultrasonic vibrations from additional t radiation points by means of additional ultrasonic transducers, each of which is placed at a distance L from the corresponding main ultrasonic transducer, selected from the expression L = (2n-1) N, where N is the scanning step, an are natural numbers from 3 to 100, while a joint analysis of ultrasonic vibrations adopted by the main and additional ultrasonic transducers introduces an adjustment of the ultrasonic vibrations adopted by the corresponding additional ultrasonic transducers, ensuring th difference in position along the longitudinal axis of the main rail and the corresponding quantity of additional ultrasonic transducers, equal to L-N.
The specified technical result is provided by the totality of essential features.
Figure 1 schematically illustrates the essence of the invention. Figure 2 shows a structural diagram of an example implementation of the invention (arrows indicate the direction of radiation).
To implement the method, the search system with blocks of the main ultrasonic transducers 1 and additional
