Abstract

Every second day, the AP 4 are exposed to a portable electrode of DiaDENS apparatus and a red-light semiconductor laser of Svetozar apparatus. The exposure to DiaDENS apparatus is performed in a "Therapy" mode at frequency 77 Hz for 2 minutes. The exposure to Svetozar apparatus is characterised by wave length 665 nm for 1 minute. Description

The invention relates to medicine, in particular to neurostomatology, and in particular to a method for the treatment of glossalgia.

Known METHOD FOR TREATING GLOSSALGIA (US Pat. RU No. 2297233 from 04/20/2007). To implement the method against the background of drug therapy, an additional 20% mummy solution is used in the form of applications on the tongue. Then, the pain zones of the tongue are exposed to the DENAS-therapy apparatus in a constant mode. The course of treatment is 6-8 days.

However, electroneurostimulation is carried out against the background of drug therapy (sedative medicine, which includes motherwort, valerian, sodium bromide), which can cause lethargy, apathy, decreased skin sensitivity and sexual function, uneven gait, and disturbance of the gastrointestinal tract (Georgi D. Arnaudov “Drug therapy”, Sofia, 1978, pp. 40-40-40). The duration of the procedure (30 minutes) is inconvenient for the patient in an aesthetic plan, since the patient has to sit with his tongue sticking out and periodically wipe the saliva secreted.

The METHOD FOR TREATING GLOSSALGIA (Pat. RU No. 2208444 of 07.20.2003) is known. The method is carried out by prefixing leeches on the tongue. Prior to the prefix leeches produce massage. Postisometric relaxation of the muscles of the tongue is performed, followed by compression of the sublingual arteries, veins, lingual nerve, lingual branches of the glossopharyngeal and vagus nerves. Outside the oral cavity by means of pressing followed by postisometric relaxation of the masticatory muscles, the main trunk of the lingual artery is pressed in the Pirogov triangle, as well as the parotid submandibular glands with their ducts. After the massage, leeches are placed on the tip of the tongue, on the area of the leaf-shaped papillae, on the upper and lower surfaces of the body of the tongue in the area of the sublingual vessels.

The METHOD FOR TREATING GLOSSALGIA (Pat. RU No. 2165776 of 04/27/2001) is known. The method consists in exposing the pathological focus to currents of a natal frequency, first the electrode is placed on the surface of the tongue, part of which is located outside the oral cavity, then the electrode is placed at a distance of no more than 1 cm from the surface, the total effect is 20 minutes. In addition, a leech is applied for 0.5-1 hours in the area of the mastoid process.

The disadvantages of the two methods listed above are invasive, not all patients agree to place foreign objects, especially blood-sucking animals in the oral cavity, the procedure is time-consuming.

The METHOD FOR TREATING GLOSSALGIA (Pat. RU No. 2202329 of 04/20/2003) is known. The authors propose to influence hypothermia on the area of the language. In addition, they act on applicator rollers filled with liquid nitrogen at biologically active points (BAP). For exposure use BAP in the head, cervical-collar zone, upper and lower extremities, and on the auricular zones. The exposure is carried out daily for 6 days for 2-3 seconds at each point.

The disadvantages of the method: requires the use of specially manufactured equipment, in particular rollers, applicators, the course of treatment is quite long.

The technical result of the invention is the development of a non-invasive method of treating glossalgia, reducing the time of one procedure to 1-2 minutes, which allows the disappearance of the dysarthria phenomenon, a significant reduction in xerostomia, elimination of carcinophobia, elimination of concomitant neurological symptoms, for example, sleep disturbances, tearfulness, irritability, uncertainty the success of treatment, an increase in the duration of remission, the absence of toxic effects of medications, improved quality Twas the lives of patients.

The technical result is achieved by the fact that acupuncture points on the ears of AT 4 (Cheremkhin K.Yu., Malakhov VV et al. Auricular dynamic electroneurostimulation and the basics of its practical application. Yekaterinburg, 2007), corresponding to the language, are affected by the external electrode of the apparatus “DiaDENS” in the “Therapy” mode with a frequency of 77 Hz for 2 minutes every other day. In addition, sleep is normalized in patients, irritability, tearfulness is reduced, dry mouth is completely eliminated, that is, concomitant neurological symptoms. We observed 138 patients with glossalgia. We compared the results of evaluating the treatment of glossalgia by the patients themselves on the basis of specially developed questionnaire questionnaires.

30 people with a disease duration of more than 15 years underwent a second course of treatment at the neurological center, since 1.5 years after the previous course of treatment for glossalgia according to the method described in US Pat. No. 2297233 from 04/27/2007, they again had a burning sensation of the tongue, but much less intensity. All patients noted a significant advantage of the new treatment method: aesthetics, reduced exposure time, lack of toxic effects of drugs.

Example 1. Patient S-va, 49 years old, came to the dental center with complaints of a burning tip of the tongue, disappearing during meals, dry mouth, sleep disturbance, a constant state of anxiety that the tongue is a malignant tumor. These sensations appeared after the stress (death of a relative). She was treated by a neurologist - without improvement. On examination - the language of normal color, sensitivity is not impaired. Diagnosis - Glossalgia, mixed form. Appointed: 4 sessions of DENAS and 3 sessions of laser therapy for acupuncture points of the tongue on the auricles every other day (DiaDENS - in the "Therapy" mode with a frequency of 77 Hz for 2 minutes, laser therapy for 1 minute with the Svetozar device, wavelength 665 nm).

After the treatment, the patient completely disappeared pain and burning in the tongue, normalized sleep, decreased irritability, and dry mouth disappeared. We observed the patient for 3 years. There are no relapses.

Example 2. Patient N-ich, 56 years old, turned to the neurological center with complaints of pain and burning of the front 2/3 of the tongue (tongue “sprinkled with pepper”). During meals, these sensations disappeared. The patient had dry oral cavity, in connection with which speech and sleep were disturbed, since at night she was forced to wet her mouth with water. Considers himself ill for about three years. Previously treated by a dentist. Applied to the tongue, physiotherapeutic treatment (amplipulse) - without results. The patient was diagnosed with Glossalgia, sympathicotonic form. Appointed: 4 sessions of Denas therapy for acupuncture points of the tongue on the ears for 2 minutes every other day in the "Therapy" mode with a frequency of 77 Hz, 4 sessions of laser therapy at the same points for 1 minute with the Svetozar apparatus, wavelength 665 nm.

After the therapy, the patient’s burning sensation disappeared, the dryness of the oral cavity decreased significantly, and sleep was normalized. We observed the patient for 2 years. There are no relapses.

The proposed method for the treatment of glossalgia reduces the time of one session to 5-6 minutes, is not invasive, not traumatic for the patient, has no toxic side effects, aesthetic, is available on an outpatient basis, does not require expensive, specially made equipment. Using this method of treating glossalgia improves the quality of life of patients, improves the quality of therapy for this pathology, since not only the symptoms of glossalgia - burning, pain, xerostomia, dysarthria, carcinophobia, but also the concomitant neurological symptoms, are significantly reduced or disappear, as shown in the table.

Having been engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of glossalgia since 1986, we studied the quality of life of patients, which includes the physical and mental components of health, depending on various treatment methods. After conducting a survey on special questionnaires and statistical processing of the results, it was found that our proposed method for the treatment of glossalgia significantly improves the quality of life of patients.

Thus, indicators of role functioning increase by 40% (from 60 to 100%), vitality by 20% (from 70 to 90%), social activity by 15% (from 75 to 90%), and mental functioning by 23% (from 55 up to 78%) in comparison with a group of patients treated according to our previously developed method - Pat. No. 2297233 dated 04/27/2007.
