Abstract
Description
The invention relates to water purification technology, in particular to the treatment of wastewater from copper ions by sorption.
A known method of treating wastewater from copper ions, including treatment with a sorbent, which is used as a waste of ground non-autoclaved foam concrete, and purification is carried out by filtration through a sorbent with a layer thickness of 0.1-0.2 m (RU No. 2237647, C02F 1/28, C02F 1 / 64, 06/27/2008).
The disadvantages of this method are the low filtration rate and a sufficiently high sorbent consumption.
60-80% (RU №2137717, C02F 1/28, C02F 1/62, 20.09.1999).The closest in technical essence to the claimed technical solution is the prototype method for purification of wastewater from copper ions, which is based on filtering through a sorbent layer with a thickness of 0.5-0.6 m, and quartz-glauconite sand with a content of glauconite 60-80% (RU No. 2137717, C02F 1/28, C02F 1/62, 09/20/1999).
The disadvantages of this method are the low filtration rate, which leads to an increase in cleaning time, and a large consumption of sorbent.
The problem to which the invention is directed, is to increase the filtration rate during wastewater treatment, which leads to a reduction in cleaning time, and a decrease in the height of the sorbent layer, which leads to its savings.
The problem in the proposed solution is achieved by the fact that in the method of treating wastewater from copper ions, including treatment with a sorbent, blast furnace granulated slag is used as the sorbent, and purification is carried out by filtration through a sorbent with a layer thickness of 0.055-0.075 m.
EXAMPLE OF SPECIFIC PERFORMANCE
1.The proposed method is as follows. Granulated blast furnace slag is used as a filter material. The chemical composition of blast furnace granulated slag is presented in table 1.
For sorption, blast furnace granulated slag with grain sizes of 0.114-0.315 mm was used, which corresponds to the requirements for filtering materials. Filtration was carried out in a column with a diameter of 30 mm and a height of 400 mm.
Wastewater containing copper ions was filtered. The thickness of the sorbent layer is 0.055-0.075 m, the mass of the sorbent is 15-25 g, the filtration rate was assumed to be 5 m / h, which corresponds to the filtration rate in real filters at treatment facilities.
Sampling was carried out at the end of the filtration time. The concentration of copper ions was determined. The degree of purification of water from heavy metal ions was monitored on an atomic absorption spectrometer.
Table 2 shows the results obtained on the quality of wastewater treatment using blast furnace granulated slag with a grain size of 0.114-0.315 mm.

From table 2 it is seen that the filtration rate increased by 3-4 m / h, and the height of the sorbent layer decreased by 0.445-0.525 m compared with the prototype.
An additional advantage of using blast furnace granulated slag as a sorbent is the ability to clean copper ions with a higher initial concentration compared to the prototype and the ability to replace quartz-glauconite sand, which is a natural material for blast furnace granulated slag.
