Abstract

Technical field

The present invention relates to a container for preparing pieces of ice (ice form), in particular in the form of cubes or the like by pouring water into the open compartments of the vessel and freezing the vessel together with the water contained therein.

State of the art

Such ice forms are in the form of open bowls, divided into a number of compartments. During prolonged storage of such a container for pieces of ice in a freezer, ice acquires a specific aftertaste, which is perceived as unpleasant. At the same time, the open ice surface recrystallizes with the formation of coarse hoarfrost, so that during prolonged storage the pieces of ice, even if their taste has not changed, seem to be like that. Therefore, the user is forced to regularly empty such an ice mold for pieces of ice and fill it again, even if the pieces of ice produced therein have not yet been consumed.

True, ice molds with a lid are known, but usually this lid is designed to prevent water from spilling when pouring the ice form and when transferring it to the freezer. Therefore, there is a filler nipple in the lid through which water can be poured into the container and which remains open while the ice form is in the freezer. Therefore, this well-known lid does not interfere with the recrystallization of ice, nor the deterioration of its taste.

Disclosure of invention

The objective of the invention is to propose an ice form that allows you to prepare pieces of ice in the freezer and store them there for a long time without affecting the taste and appearance, and also ensures that the jumpers do not freeze to the lid and could not interfere with the separation of the bottom parts from the cover.

This problem is solved by an ice mold with a lower part having a number of compartments open on one side and with a lid placed above the open side of the lower part, the lid being closed and tightly adjacent to the edge surrounding the open side of the lower part.

While in most plastic containers for deep cooling, the lid is more elastic than the lower part and bends when the container is opened, while the lower part basically retains its shape, the ice form proposed in the invention is preferably the opposite. The lid has greater rigidity than the lower part, so that to separate the lid and the lower part, the user takes the lower part to the outside and presses them against each other, thus bending the lower part and separating the lid. This ensures, on the one hand, that the lid is firmly attached to the lower part, and on the other hand, the lower part has the elasticity desired to remove pieces of ice from the mold.

For this purpose, the ice mold cover is preferably made of polypropylene, and the lower part is made of polyethylene.

It is also preferable that the open side of the lower part has a perimeter around the perimeter, limiting the contact between the lower part and the lid. Due to this, the jumper side passing between the individual compartments of the container do not touch the lid and cannot freeze to the lid and make it difficult to separate the lower part from the lid.

The implementation of the invention

Figure 1 shows the lower part 1 and the lid 2 of the container for ice pieces (ice form) according to the invention, separated from each other. The lower part 1 has a flat upper side 3, into which a number of compartments 4 having an approximately cubic shape are recessed. The adjacent compartments 4 are interconnected by overflow grooves 5, which allow water to flow from one compartment 4 to the next, so that the entire lower part 1 can be filled by pouring water into only one of the compartments 4, and thus the water will not overflow through the upper side 3 .

The flat upper side 3 is surrounded along the perimeter by a raised side 6, the upper edge of which is 1-2 mm above the upper side 3 and serves as a support for the flat inner side of the cover 2. Therefore, the cover 2 in the closed state does not come into contact with the upper side 3.

The outer wall 8 of the flange 6 passing along the perimeter is pressed from the inside to the edge 9 of the cover 2 extending along the perimeter and provides at least substantially water and air tightness of the ice form.

The lower part 1 of polyethylene is more elastic than the cover 2 of polypropylene, so that the cover 2 when removed from the lower part 1 almost does not bend. In order to separate the lower part 1 and the lid 2 in a frozen state, the user can squeeze the opposite side edges 10 of the compartments 4 on the opposite sides of the lower part 1, as a result of which the lower part 1 will bend and squeeze the lid 2.

Ice mold with a lower part (1) having a number of compartments open on one side (4), and with a lid (2) placed above the open side of the lower part (1), and the lid (2) is adjacent to the edge surrounding the open the side of the lower part (1) along the perimeter with the rim and serves to extract pieces of ice from the lower part (1), characterized in that the flat upper side (3) of the lower part (1) is surrounded by the perimeter of the upwardly extending rim (6), the upper edge of which protrudes above the upper side (3) of the lower part (1) and serves as a support for the flat inner sides cover (2), which contact with the lower part (1) is limited by a rim (6). 2.
