Abstract

FIELD: textile industry, in particular, knitted product manufacture processes.

SUBSTANCE: method involves forming cylindrical sock toe part by which part foot toes are closed; to do that, providing continuous knitting at the side of trace part or at the side of instep part of other sock portion; knitting said trace part and said instep part by successively reducing the number of stitches at the side of little toe by predetermined value and, after reducing the number of stitches at the side of big toe in proportion greater than proportion of reducing the number of stitches at the side of little toe, increasing the number of stitches in the same proportion; carefully repeating steps of increasing and reducing the number of stitches at the side of big toe at minimal increase-reduction proportion.

EFFECT: improved properties of sock by preventing tight adherence of sock around toes in wedge-shaped part to thereby reduce excessive compression feeling after putting-on sock.

Description

The present invention relates to a method for knitting socks and, in particular, to socks, when worn which the consumer creates the feeling of only a slight compression of the legs.

Typically, the sock, shown in Fig.9 and indicated by the number 1, contains a tubular knitted part 2, including part 2A for raising the legs and going from the ankle to the lifting and arch of the foot; and the toe part 3 attached to the tubular knitted part 2, having a wedge-shaped shape, which cover the toes of the foot, and this toe part 3 (see Fig. 10) is wedge-shaped, and it has a symmetry of the right and left parts along the width of the foot, and, in addition, as shown in FIG. 11, this toe portion 3 comprises a trace portion 3a that covers the lower half of the toes and a lift portion 3b that covers the upper half of the toes; moreover, the trace parts 3a and the lift parts 3b are flat tubular and closed along the contour of the toe, connecting both parts to each other and giving a flat shape.

From Japanese patent JP 3070670, publ. 05/24/2000, a method of knitting socks is known, which consists in the formation of the toe portion of the toe, which covers the toes of the foot, of a cylindrical shape by continuous knitting from the side of the trace, from the side of the lift to the other side, in which when knitting the mentioned trace and said lifting part knitting is performed by sequentially reducing the number of loops on the little toe side by a predetermined number of loops.

It should be noted that usually the toes are such that the side of the big toe is longer, and the side of the little toe is shorter.

However, the toe portion 3 of the sock 1, connected by the described method, is formed so that it has the symmetry of the right and left parts in the direction of the width of the foot, as a result of which, after the sock, the side of the toe of the sock is extended, and the side of the little toe of the sock has excess space.

Because of this, there is a phenomenon consisting in the appearance of a sensation of pressure on the side of the big toe of the foot, and therefore the toe portion 3 from the side of the big toe is more extended and quickly damaged.

On the other hand, when donning the toe 1, the foot is introduced through the part 2a for upholding, and the toes are inserted into the flat part 3 for the foot, and the stretch part 3a and the lifting part 3b are stretched in the vertical direction.

Thus, the consumer especially feels the tight fit of the toe around the toes in the wedge-shaped part 3, and after putting on the toe, feels the compression of the toes.

In view of this problem, the technical objective of the present invention is to provide a method for knitting socks, which consists in forming the toe portion of the toe, which covers the toes of the foot, of a cylindrical shape by continuous knitting either from the side of the trace or from the side of the lift to the other part, in which when knitting said portion of the trace and said portion of the rise, knitting is performed by sequentially reducing the number of loops on the little finger side of the foot by a predetermined number of loops and after the number of loops from the side of the big toe will be reduced in a proportion greater than the proportion of decreasing the number of loops from the side of the little finger of the foot, the number of loops is added in the same proportion, and the increase and decrease in the number of loops from the side of the big toe are carefully repeated with a minimum proportion of increase- decrease.

Preferably, the increase and decrease in the number of loops on the said side of the big toe is performed continuously at a predetermined length by a multiple integer with a minimum proportion of increase-decrease.

Preferably, said toe portion is formed by dividing it into a first upholstery compartment into which the big toe is threaded, and a second upholstery compartment into which the other toes are threaded, and when knitting a portion of the track or a portion of the lift in the first compartment for trimming and the second compartment for upholding, the number of loops is increased or decreased.

Preferably, said toe portion is formed by dividing it into five upholstery compartments, into which the toes are individually threaded, and when knitting part of the track or part of the lift in each of the five compartments for upsetting, the number of loops is added or decreased.

As a result of using the method according to the present invention, the feeling of compression is reduced due to the difference in the lengths of the toes.

With this method of knitting socks, the convex part protruding in the direction of the thickness of the toe is formed on the side of the big toe, and this makes it easier to put the big toe into the toe.

With this design, while maintaining the improved fit properties and creating the compression sensation described above, it is possible to further prevent the displacement of the toe portion relative to the toes, and thus to further improve the fit.

Next, preferred embodiments of the invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

First Embodiment

Figure 1-3 shows the toe portion 10 of the sock made according to the knitting method according to the invention, moreover, as an example, the figure shows a sock on his left leg.

Figure 1 shows a top view of the toe portion 10; figure 2 is a side view along arrow II in figure 1; figure 3 is a view along arrow III in figure 1 on an enlarged scale; other parts similar to those shown in Fig. 9 are explained with reference to Fig. 9 and using the positions indicated in Fig. 9.

The toe portion 10, knitted in the form of a cylinder, which is given a generally flat shape, comprises a trace part 10a that covers the lower part of the toes and a lifting part 10b that covers the upper part of the toes.

In this embodiment, the toe portion 10 of the toe that covers the toes of the foot is formed into a cylinder by continuously knitting from the trace portion 10a to the lift portion 10b, wherein when knitting the trace portion 10a or the lift portion 10b, the number of loops is sequentially reduced by a predetermined number on the side V of the little finger of the foot, and after the number of loops on the W side of the big toe is reduced in proportion to a larger proportion of the decrease in the number of loops on the V side of the little toe, the number of loops is added in the same proportion.

For a more detailed explanation of the method of performing this type of knitting, it will be shown on the example of knitting, in which a conventional circular knitting sock machine is used as a sock knitting machine.

On this circular knitting machine, a needle cylinder is rotated in a predetermined direction, in which a plurality of knitting needles are located on its outer surface, and knitting operations are performed during rotation; alternatively, this needle cylinder is rotated in the opposite direction to partially knit the produced portion; when the needle cylinder is rotated in a predetermined direction, a cylindrical knitted part 2 is knitted on the machine, and when partial knitting is carried out, a toe-shaped portion 10 of a cylindrical shape is produced by first generating a trace portion 10a and then a lifting portion 10b.

In addition, when knitting the trace portion 10a and the lifting portion 10b after knitting by rotating the needle cylinder from the thumb side W to the little toe side V, knitting is performed by rotating this needle cylinder in the opposite direction to the thumb side W.

In addition, at the moment when the knitting is completed on the V side of the little finger of the foot, the number of knitting needles is reduced by a predetermined number of knitting needles, for example, one needle, and then knitting is performed towards the W side of the big toe; then, at the moment when the knitting is completed from the W side of the big toe, the number of knitting needles is reduced by two needles and the knitting is performed towards the side of the little toe; then, at the moment when the knitting is completed from the V side of the little toe, the number of knitting needles is reduced by one needle and the knitting is performed towards the side of the big toe; after that, the number of knitting needles on this side of the W big toe is increased by two needles and the knitting is continued towards the side of the little toe; in addition, from the side of the V little finger of the foot, the number of knitting needles is reduced by one needle and again knitting is performed towards the side of the big toe.

As a result of such operations, a knitting line is formed on the side of the big toe, indicated by the letter X in FIG. 2.

Now, on the V side of the little finger of the foot, the number of loops is continuously reduced in a fixed proportion, and on the W side of the big toe, after the number of loops has been slightly reduced, the number of loops is increased; moreover, the number of loops by which the number of loops on this side W of the big toe has been reduced is the same as the number of loops by which the number of loops is increased.

In addition, the contour of the toe of the knit from the V side of the little finger of the foot gradually moves to the side of the toes and gradually deviates to the inside of the toes, however, on the W side of the big toe, the knitting position returns to its original position, and this initial position does not deviate.

Then, on the W side of the big toe, as well as on the V side of the little finger of the foot, knitting is performed so that one knitting needle is taken out of work for a predetermined length towards the tip of the toes.

In this mode of knitting, by accurately reducing (the number of) knitting needles from the W side of the big toe, the toe part of the knitting from the W side of the big toe goes to the side of the toes of the foot in the same way as from the V side of the little finger of the foot, and deviates to the inside of the toes of the foot.

After that, from the W side of the big toe, knitting is performed so that the number of knitting needles increases by two needles at a time, as described above.

When this type of knitting operation is repeated from the V side of the little finger of the foot, the lateral edge forms a contour that goes to the tips of the toes of the foot, and gradually deviates to the inside of the toes of the foot, and from the W side of the big toe, the lateral edge forms a contour that, after maintaining a constant position, goes to the tips of the toes and deviates to the inside of the toes.

Thus, as shown in FIG. 1, the outline shape of the trace portion 10a is formed so that the side of the big toe is long and the side of the little toe is short, and the contour approaches the curve obtained by connecting the tips of the toes of the foot.

In addition, after knitting the trace portion 10a by performing the knitting operations described above, while continuing and knitting the lift portion 10b, the base edge portions of the knitting lines X that are formed on the trace portion 10a and the lift portion 10b coincide, as shown in FIG. . 2, and both side edge parts of the trace 10a and both side edge parts of the lift 10b are connected to form a cylindrical toe portion 10, as shown in FIG. 3.

In this embodiment, by shaping the toe portion 10 so that it is close to the shape of the curve obtained by connecting the tips of the toes of the foot, an almost uniform contact between the toe portion 10 and the tips of the toes of the foot is achieved when putting on the toe and reducing the sensation of pressure unevenness; moreover, the tension of the toe portion is uniform and due to this, a reduction in partial damage is achieved.

On the other hand, in the part on the W side of the big toe formed by the knitted X lines, the position of this knitting does not deviate to the tips of the toes, so that the magnitude forms a convex part that protrudes in the thickness direction, and, as shown in FIG. 3, the side of the big toe has the shape of a certain bulge.

Thus, when putting on the toe and sliding the toes into the toe portion 10, the toe portion is deformed, stretching in the front-back and up-down directions relative to the toes; however, due to the formed convex part in the area where the thumb is poked in, the resistance to wringing is reduced, and with the achievement of a good fit, the consumer feels less compression in this convex part after putting on the toe due to the fact that the compressive forces applied to the toes are reduced, and as a result, the feeling of compression is reduced and a comfortable fit is achieved.

Second Embodiment

In FIG. 4 and 5 show a second embodiment of the invention.

This embodiment is an example in which the number of loops on the W side of the thumb in the trace portion 10a and the lift portion 10b is continuously reduced so that the knitting line Y becomes one long continuous line.

In this case, also, the number of loops by which the number of loops from the V side of the little toe is reduced is kept constant, and from the side of the W of the big toe, the number of loops by which the number of loops is increased and decreased is greater than the number of loops by which the number of loops is reduced from the side of the V little finger of the foot.

When using this knitting method to perform this embodiment, for the same reasons as in the first embodiment, the length of the area where the thumb is inserted is made longer in comparison with the side of the little finger of the foot; and by forming the knitting line Y such that it is a continuous long line, the area of this convex portion formed on the W side of the big toe is enlarged, and as shown in FIG. 5, the space in the area where the thumb of the foot is inserted is enlarged.

As a result of this, the big toe can be entered smoothly when putting on the toe, and the feeling of squeezing the thumb is further weakened.

On the other hand, as in the case of the toe portion indicated by 13 in FIG. 6, this toe portion 13 can be divided into a first toe-up compartment 14 into which the thumb of the foot is poked, and a second toe-up compartment 15 into which the other toes are poked; and by applying the knitting method according to the first embodiment and the second embodiment described above, both to the first upstream compartment 14 and to the second upstream compartment 15, the toe portion is formed so that it gradually becomes longer towards the side of the thumb feet, and so that a convex portion is formed, as shown in FIG. 7.

By shaping the toe portion 13 so that it is divided into the first compartment 14 for attaching and the second compartment 15 for sticking, the toe portion 13 is held relative to the big toe and the adjacent toe so that the toe portion 13 can be moved relative to the toes and improved landing.

Moreover, as in the case of the toe portion indicated by 16 in FIG. 8, the toe portion 16 can be divided into the first to fifth compartments 17-21, however, convex portions for each of these compartments 17-21 can also be formed.

With this design, while maintaining the fit described above, each toe of the foot is independently covered so that sweating and the like can be excluded. and make wearing the sock more comfortable.

In addition, in the case when the compartments 17-21 for forming the toes that correspond to the toes of the foot are formed, the resistance of the toes of the toes of the feet is raised, but since according to the present invention, convex portions are formed in each of the compartments 17-21 for wrapping, the aforementioned resistance dropping is reduced and the toe can be put on more smoothly.

In addition, the part for uplifting described above can also be a compartment for uplifting an arbitrary number of toes, which cover the toes from the index (second toe) to the next after the last toe (fourth toe).

In addition, the cylindrical knitted part 2 described above can be changed within the limits corresponding to various forms, for example, the shape in which the calf of the leg is covered; the form in which the ankle is covered; a form in which they cover part of the leg below the ankle.

Industrial applicability

As mentioned above, when applying the present invention, when part of the track and part of the lifting are knitted, the number of loops is sequentially reduced by a predetermined number of loops on the little toe side and after the number of loops on the big toe side has been reduced in a larger proportion, than the proportion of loop loosening from the side of the little finger of the foot, the number of loops is added in the same proportion, and due to this, from the side of the little finger of the foot, the lateral edge part is directed to the tips of the fingers one hundred s and is deflected inwardly at predetermined proportions, and from the thumb in a region where the number of loops is increased, the appearance is such that the side edge close to a straight line directed to the tip of the toe.

By performing these operations, the contour of the toe can be shaped so that the toe in the thumb area protrudes so that it gradually approaches the front of the toes from the side of the little toe to the side of the big toe, and in which the contour of the toe the part goes along the curve that is obtained by connecting the tips of the toes of the foot; and as a result of this, together with the possibility of reducing the feeling of squeezing due to the difference in the length of the toes of the foot, it is possible due to the fact that the toes are pulled evenly when putting on the sock with the toe, to prevent the development of damage in specific areas.

In addition, a convex part is formed from the side of the thumb, which protrudes in the direction of the thickness of the sock, and thereby provide the ability to easily insert the thumb.

Claims (4)

1. The method of knitting socks, which consists in the formation of the toe portion of the toe, which cover the toes of the foot, of a cylindrical shape by continuous knitting either from the side of the trace or from the side of the lift to another part, in which when knitting the mentioned trace and the said lifting part performed by sequentially reducing the number of loops on the side of the little toe by a predetermined number of loops and after the number of loops on the side of the big toe is reduced in a proportion greater than the proportion of ensheniya number of loops from the little finger of the foot, the number of loops is added in the same proportion and at the same time increase and decrease the number of stitches from the big toe carefully repeated at a minimum proportion of the increase-decrease. 2. The method of knitting socks according to claim 1 or 2, in which the said toe portion is formed by dividing it into five compartments for sticking into which the toes are individually threaded, and when knitting part of the track or part of the lift in each of the five compartments looping in the number of loops add or reduce.
