EFFECT: increased service life of covering and side rolls of angular pockets and, on the whole, of billiard table.

Description

The invention relates to billiards, in particular to a pocket billiard tables designed to play the “Russian pyramid”, and can be used in billiard tables designed to play the “pool”.

Known closest to the invention by the number of common features and the technical result achieved is a billiard table containing a frame mounted on vertical supports, a rectangular tabletop horizontally located on the frame and equipped with sides with rollers, rubber shock absorbers, as well as middle and angular pockets, and coatings countertops and sides (patent RU No. 2138308, A 63 D 15/00, 1999).

The rollers and sides of the billiard table are made of wood.

The billiard table does not contain elements that soften the impact of balls on the walls (lips) of the rollers of the sides of the corner pockets and their coverings.

A disadvantage of the known billiard table is the imperfect design of the walls of the rollers of the sides of the corner pockets, which significantly reduces the service life of the coating and the rollers of the sides of the corner pockets and billiards in general.

This is caused by the fact that when the balls hit the corner pockets laterally, the balls hit the pockets of the pockets, that is, the walls of the bead rollers and rubber shock absorbers. This shock is additionally accompanied by the transverse vibration of the balls between the said walls of the corner pockets. Due to the fact that the walls of the rollers of the sides of the corner pockets do not contain elements that soften the impact of balls on them, and the stiffness of the material of the rollers of the sides (wood) is much greater than the stiffness of the rubber shock absorbers, therefore, the rubber of the shock absorbers is elasticly compressed. In this case, the walls of the corner pockets and the side rollers perceive the main shock and vibration load. After several such lateral hits of the balls in the corner pockets, the coating breaks at the borders of the bead rollers and rubber shock absorbers. In addition, dents form in the walls of corner pockets, which violates their geometric parameters and impairs the playing properties of the corner pockets.

The objective of the invention is that in a billiard table by improving the design of the walls of the rollers of the sides of the corner pockets and installing elements that soften the impact of balls, to increase the service life of the coating and the rollers of the sides of the corner pockets and billiards in general.

The problem is solved in that in a billiard table containing a frame mounted on vertical supports, a rectangular tabletop horizontally located on the frame and equipped with sides with rollers, rubber shock absorbers, as well as middle and corner pockets, and coverings of the tabletop and sides, according to the invention on the walls of each corner pocket pads made of rubber are fixed, and the coverings of the sides cover said pads.

The above features of the invention are essential, since in the aggregate they are sufficient to ensure operability and solve the problem, and each separately is necessary to identify the claimed technical solution.

Thus, a new set of common / known / and distinctive / new / from the prototype of the essential features that characterize the improved pool table is sufficient in all cases to which the scope of legal protection applies, as it solves the problem.

The above features of the invention are not mandatory, but, according to the applicant, are the best and do not exclude the possibility of another equivalent implementation of a pool table within the specified essence of the invention.

A causal relationship between the set of essential features of the invention, including distinctive / new / when interacting with common / known / features, in providing new technical properties of the object of protection due to the problem being solved, is as follows.

Due to the fact that rubber pads are fixed on the walls of each corner pockets on the walls of each corner pocket, and the side coverings cover the mentioned overlays, the service life of the coating and the sidewall rollers of the corner pockets and billiards is increased.

This is achieved by the fact that elastic rubber elements are fixed on the walls of each corner pockets, which, firstly, overlap the walls of the rollers and rubber shock absorbers of the sides, and, secondly, significantly soften the impact of the balls on the walls of the side rollers and their coatings. In this case, the rubber hardness of the linings is comparable to the rubber hardness of shock absorbers. Therefore, when the balls hit, elastic compression of the rubber of the shock absorbers and pads occurs. The result is an elastic effect of shock and vibration loads on the walls of the rollers of the sides of the corner pockets, which eliminates the gap in the coating at the border of the rollers of the sides and rubber shock absorbers. In addition, dents are not formed in the walls of the roll rollers of the corner pockets, which ensures the constancy of their geometric parameters and stabilizes the solution of the corner pockets.

The billiard table has other distinctive features that complement and characterize the invention in some cases of its implementation and are used to improve its technical and consumer properties.

So, in the pool table, according to the invention, the lining is made of rubber reinforced with cord.

The execution of rubber pads reinforced with cord significantly increases their strength and durability compared to conventional rubber and is recommended mainly for use in billiard tables for playing "pool".

In addition, in the pool table, according to the invention, the thickness of the plates is 1-12 mm

For the corner pockets of a billiard table, the selected range of pad thicknesses is optimal, determined empirically and provides the best combination of strength and elastic properties of pad rubber.

The choice of these values is less than the lower limit of the mentioned range is impractical, since such a thickness of the rubber plates does not withstand shock and vibration loads.

The choice of these values above the upper limit of the mentioned range is also impractical, since in this case the elastic properties of the rubber of the pads are stabilized and practically do not improve, and the reliability of their fastening on the walls of the corner pockets is significantly reduced.

The billiard table contains (Figs. 1-4) a frame 1 (Fig. 1) mounted on vertical supports 2, a rectangular tabletop 3 (Figs. 2, 4), horizontally located on the frame 1 and provided with sides 4 (Figs. 1- 4) with rollers 5, rubber shock absorbers 6, as well as middle and angular pockets 7 (figure 2), 8 (figure 2-4), and cover 9, 10 (figure 4) of the table top 3 and sides 4.

The sides 4 are attached to the countertop 3 using fasteners (not shown in the drawings).

On the walls of each corner pockets 8 are fixed pads 11 made of rubber, and the coatings of the sides 10 cover said pads 11 (Figs. 3, 4).

The pads 11 can be made of rubber reinforced with cord.

The thickness of the pads 11 is 1-12 mm

The best results in mitigating the impact of balls on the walls of the rollers 5 of the sides 4 and increasing the service life of the cover 10 of the corner pockets 7 can be achieved by using rubber for the manufacture of plates 11, the thickness t of which in billiard tables for playing the "Russian pyramid" is 4-6 mm, and for playing the "pool" is 5-7 mm.

Features of the manufacturing technology and assembly of a billiard table are as follows.

Worktop 3 is made of natural stone or composite material.

As a covering 9, 10 of the table top 3 and sides 4, billiard cloth is used, for example, of blue or green color from one of the world famous manufacturers of the company “Iwan Simonis” (Belgium).

The sides 4 are made of wood, mainly hardwood, for example oak, beech, ash or various types of mahogany.

When using the advanced billiard table, when the balls are hit, elastic compression of the rubber of the shock absorbers 6 and the pads 11 occurs.

As a result of this, the elastic effect of shock and vibration loads on the walls of the rollers 5 of the sides 4 of the corner pockets 8 is ensured, which eliminates the gap of the coating 10 at the border of the rollers 5 and the rubber shock absorbers 6 of the sides 4.

In addition, dents are not formed in the walls of the rollers 5 of the sides 4 of the corner pockets 8, which ensures the constancy of geometric parameters and stabilizes the solution of the corner pockets 8.

Thus, by attaching to the walls of the corner pockets 8 of elastic elements - pads 11 that soften the impact of the balls, the service life of the coating 10 and the rollers 5 of the sides 4 of the corner pockets 8 and billiards is increased.

At the same time, the geometric parameters are stabilized and the game properties of the corner pockets of the 8 billiard table are improved.

The billiard table of improved design can be repeatedly manufactured industrially using well-known materials and modern technology at any enterprise producing billiard tables.
