Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the textile industry and can be used for printing cotton fabrics with active dyes in a continuous way.
Known [Pat. USA 4374702] a method for producing a diluted dispersion of microfibrillated cellulose, which already at a 2% polymer content has the properties of a thixotropic liquid. It is a persistent gel suitable for use as thickeners of printing inks. It is obtained in a high pressure homogenizer. However, this method of obtaining a thickener is possible only when using high pressure homogenizers (P = 34.45-55.12 MPa) and is therefore highly energy-intensive.
Known [Pat. USSR 2012564, С 08 В 11/12] a method for producing a thickener from cellulose ethers, in particular, carboxymethyl cellulose. It includes alkaline treatment of cellulose raw materials with an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide, alkylation of the resulting product with sodium monochloracetate, ripening and subsequent drying of the finished product. The disadvantages of this method are the high consumption of chemical materials, leading to a significant increase in the cost of the resulting product, as well as a high degree of degradation of cellulose, which reduces the thickening ability of the modified cellulose.
Also known [Lipatov S.M., Kartsovnik B.A., Babich L.V. Call Zh., 1948, 10, p. 349] a method for producing starch thickening by hot gelatinization of starch with the subsequent introduction of alkali into a semi-cooled paste. However, this method is not without drawbacks. Great time and heat costs due to the need for preliminary cooking of starch thickeners.
Closest to the invention in essence is a cold method for producing starch thickening [Laboratory workshop on the chemical technology of textile materials: Textbook. manual for universities (Novoradovskaya T.S. et al; Ed. Ed. Krichevsky G.E.). M .: 1994, p.217]. The method includes preparing a starch suspension, treating it with alkaline agents: first with a solution of sodium hydroxide with stirring for several minutes, then with a solution of sodium silicate. The obtained alkaline starch-based thickener is first neutralized with sulfuric acid, and then to a slightly acidic or slightly alkaline medium with acetic acid, depending on further use.
The disadvantages of this method are the following: insufficiently high degree of fixation of the active dye when using thickeners and resistance to wet friction. In addition, this thickener contains in its composition a large amount (67 g / kg) of sodium silicate, which, as you know, is prone to form buildups on the equipment and, if the technological cycle is violated, will clog the print shaft engravings, which will inevitably lead to equipment shutdown.
Thus, the cold method for preparing starch thickeners is not known, which makes it possible to obtain bright and durable stains on textile material and increase the reliability of the equipment.

The invention allows to obtain bright colors with a high degree of fixation of the dye, resistant to the action of wet treatments and to increase the reliability of the equipment.
Information confirming the possibility of carrying out the invention
To implement the invention, the following reagents can be used: corn starch, potato GOST 7697-82, alkaline cellulose. It is prepared in a well-known manner [Zazulina Z.A., Druzhinina T.V. Konkin A.A. Fundamentals of chemical fiber technology. Textbook for high schools. - 2nd ed., Revised. and add. - M .: Chemistry, 1985, p. 115]. Alkaline cellulose is obtained by treating a pulp with a concentration of 225-290 g / l of sodium hydroxide pre-crushed to a particle size of not more than 200 microns and keeping the mixture for 30-40 minutes. As a hydrotropic agent, for example, urea, acetamide, potassium thiocyanate, dimethylacetamide can be used. These compounds are crystalline or liquid compounds that are readily soluble in water and are used as an aqueous solution at a concentration of 40-100 g / kg.
