Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a technology for producing lint-free carpets.
According to their varieties, carpets are divided into two main types - these are pile carpets and pile-free carpets. Pile carpets have only two forms of knotting technique. Lint-free carpets are produced in more than ten different ways. The technology of each method mainly determines the uniqueness of the ornament and the pattern.
Let's consider some of them.
Lint-free carpets of the Kilim type (Art of Oriental Carpets, ELM Publishing House, Baku, 1988) are produced by threading a weft through the warp threads using a complex weaving method. Kilim are characterized by slit-like gaps surrounding geometric and geometrized patterns. These gaps are formed with the help of multi-colored weft threads, which at the borders of the contours of the pattern do not interlock with each other and change their direction to the opposite side, performing plain weaving. In other words, to create a pattern, the weft threads, according to the shape of the ornament, are approached to each other without clinging, then disconnected. In each row, at the points of convergence of the weft thread, a kind of cleft forms - gaps. These gaps surrounding large medallions and small elements play the role of a very expressive and underlined graphic contour and at the same time give the fabric a lace effect. The disadvantage of this method of carpeting is their low mechanical wear resistance in crevices-gaps.
Another kind of lint-free carpet is Zili. Here, the pattern is created by a pattern-forming thread, which in the form of successive loops wraps around each successive pair of warp threads, and all rows of pattern-forming threads lie on each other only sideways. In zili, loops of a pattern-forming colored thread, laid in the form of oblique stitches, smooth running in only one direction, look like a lace.
Closest to the claimed method for making carpets is a variety of lint-free carpet "Sumy". The pattern is created by a pattern-forming thread, which in the form of successive loops wraps around each pair of warp threads. In each two rows, pattern-forming colored threads create the appearance of a pigtail or Christmas tree on the surface of the carpet. The first row of loops is located in one direction, the second - in the opposite direction, as in mirror reflection. After each or after two rows, the weft thread is thrown over the warp. The result is a lint-free one-sided wool fabric, smooth and dense on the front side, with pattern-forming yarns released from the inside. The fabric frame is made plain linen weaving warp with fastening weft. Frame ducks are laid between the warp threads across the entire width of the carpet. The entwining with pattern-forming yarns is carried out first from right to left, and after changing the pharynx for laying and fixing the weft - in the opposite direction. The rows of braids thus formed constitute the structure of the front side of the sumac. The ends of the pattern-forming yarn remaining at the borders of the color sections are turned inside out. As a result, from the front side there is a smooth lint-free fabric, and the underside of the carpet is shaggy, which makes the carpet soft and keeps it from wear. Sumakhs appeared due to the fact that the floors in the huts were previously clay or stone, so they functionally justified their purpose. The main disadvantage of sumacs is that when abrasion of excess threads taken inside out, loops begin to break. This is due to the fact that excess filaments are not fastened to the base.
This invention is aimed at achieving a technical result, which consists in improving the quality of the production of lint-free carpets due to the original fixing of the beginning and end of the color-forming thread with warp threads at the borders of the color section.
This technical result is achieved by the fact that the method of producing lint-free carpets includes entwining a color-forming thread around each subsequent pair of upper and lower warp threads intertwined with a weft thread. According to the invention, the beginning of the color-forming thread is wound around one of the threads of the first pair of warp threads to form a loop around both threads of the first pair of warp threads, and the end of the color-forming thread at the border of the color section is laid between the upper and lower warp threads of the last two loops, brought to the front surface, and excess thread is cut flush with the plane of the front surface.
The method is as follows.
The color-forming thread is first wound around one thread of the first pair of warp threads so that its beginning does not go inside out. Then the color-forming thread is wound around the second warp thread of this pair. That is, the beginning of the thread is pinched between the upper and lower threads of the first pair of warp threads. The beginning of the color-forming thread “hides” between the warp threads, without going inside out. After fixing the beginning of the composite color-forming yarn, it is wrapped around subsequent pairs of warp yarns using the well-known technology for knitting lint-free carpets.
The end of the color-forming thread is attached as follows.
The last two loops of the color section (the last four warp threads) are entwined, the end of the color-forming composite thread is threaded between the upper and lower pairs of warp threads and displayed on the front side of the sumac. This method weaves one row of sumac. Then the weft thread is passed, which is fixed with a mallet. Excess threads brought to the front side are cut flush with the plane of the front surface with a special knife - a hook.
Sumacs woven using this method are smooth, light and double-sided (not shaggy).
