Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the paint industry, in particular to epoxy compositions for the production of spontaneously exfoliating coatings, and can be used to protect metallic materials and products from them.
П.]. A known composition for self-exfoliating coatings, including an epoxy resin with a molecular weight of 850-1100 and an epoxy content of 6.8-8.3%, perchlorovinyl resin with a molecular weight of 38000-63000, an amine type hardener (hexamethylenediamine), boric anhydride, pigments (titanium dioxide, chromium oxide , strontium chromate or zinc phosphate), filler (talc) and an organic solvent. Coatings based on these compositions are characterized by low chalking, high impact strength, bending and adhesion to steel. However, the coating has little adhesion to aluminum [a. from. USSR 1219624, IPC 4 C 09
В.]. The closest in technical essence and the achieved result to the proposed composition is a composition for the production of thick self-delaminating semi-matt coatings containing epoxy resin with a molecular weight of 850-1100, epoxy resin with a molecular weight of 390-450, perchlorovinyl resin with a ratio of 1.0: 0.48: 0.44, solid - polyethylene polyamine, zinc phosphate, pigment, a mixture of microtalc and microbarite in a ratio of 2: 1, an organic solvent. Coatings based on the compositions of the prototype have high strength in bending, impact, adhesion to steel, low chalking. However, the coatings have insufficient adhesion to aluminum and, accordingly, insufficient corrosion resistance of coatings of aluminum products in aggressive environments [RF patent 2028350, IPC 6 C 09 D 163/02. Composition for coatings. Nikitaeva M.N., Lambrev V.G., Krylova V.V., Verkholantsev V.V., Ovodova E.V.].
The present invention is aimed at improving adhesion to various metal substrates and increasing the chemical resistance of products from them in aggressive environments, to simplify the composition and eliminate the solvent.

The compositions are prepared as follows. Lacquer compositions are prepared by mixing high molecular weight epoxy resins E-40 (E-41, E-45) and triglycidyl phosphate at room temperature for 30 minutes. Pigments and filler are added to the obtained varnish and dispersed. Before applying to the surface, the calculated amount of hardener is introduced into the composition. The claimed composition is significantly different from the prototype. In the lacquer part are missing: epoxy-resin ED-20, perchlorovinyl resin, organic solvent. The triglycidyl phosphate introduced into the composition plays the role of both a solvent and a low molecular weight resin. In the claimed concentration range, triglycidyl phosphate is limitedly compatible with high molecular weight epoxy resin and allows to obtain gradient coatings with a predominant distribution of high molecular weight oligomers on the surface, providing high impact strength and elasticity. Triglycidyl phosphate is located mainly on the substrate and causes high adhesion to the metal. Gradient coatings are provided both in the varnish composition, and with the introduction of pigments and fillers.
The compositions are applied to the protected metal surface, the curing time of the coatings at room temperature - 1 day, at 100 o C - 1 hour. In table. 1 shows the compositions of the claimed composition and prototypes. Table 2 presents the properties of the proposed coatings in comparison with the prototype. From the obtained data it follows that the claimed composition does not contain, in comparison with the prototype, volatile flammable toxic substances due to the exclusion of solvents, has higher adhesive properties to various metals, increases the stability of products in corrosive environments. In addition, the claimed composition in comparison with the prototype contains fewer components.
