Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of water treatment, mainly to the technology of chemical treatment of industrial condensate and feed water for high and low pressure boilers.
A known method of simultaneous iron removal and softening of water, including passing water through a bed of ion exchange resin, in particular from sulfation cationite H + form, followed by softening and desalination of deferrized water on mixed ion exchangers (Boilers and water treatment. Results of science and technology, VINITI. - M. , 1969. - S. 76-79). The disadvantage of this method is the relatively low degree of iron removal (60-70%) with an initial concentration of iron in water of 150-350 μg / L.
Closest to the proposed method is a method of simultaneous softening and iron removal of water, including passing water through a bed consisting of a mixture of activated carbon and ion exchangers: carboxylic cation exchanger in the Na + form, sulfonic acid cation exchanger in the H + form, sulfonic acid cation exchanger in the Ag + form and strongly basic cation exchange resin in the HCC 3 - form (RF patent. The main objective of the invention is to create a method that allows to increase the depth and degree of deferrization while at the same time a high depth of softening.
To solve the problem in a method of simultaneous softening and iron removal of water, which includes passing the source water through a backfill consisting of an ion exchanger, which is taken as KU-2-8 cation exchange resin in a Na + form and fresh cation exchange resin is treated with a weakly acid solution of Trilon-B with subsequent regeneration spent cation exchanger, first by loosening and washing with water the precipitate of iron compounds from the surface of cation exchanger grains, then by treatment with sodium chloride solution and weakly acid solution of Trilon B.
A high depth and degree of iron removal with a simultaneously high depth of water softening is achieved by the fact that when cation exchange resin is treated with a weakly acid solution of Trilon B, iron ions are easily removed from it, and low molecular weight polymers are partially removed from fresh cation exchange resin. In this case, the Na form of the cation exchanger passes into the NaH + form, due to which, at the beginning of purification, iron cations and hardness salts are simultaneously absorbed. Subsequently, in the course of purification, iron ions are hydrolyzed and form a catalytic film of basic iron compounds on the surface of cation exchanger grains, which intensifies the iron removal process.
The method is as follows. A slightly acid solution of Trilon B is passed through fresh KU-2-8 cation exchanger in the Na + form and the cation exchanger is washed with water. Purified water is passed through the treated cation exchange resin, and the residual iron concentration and residual hardness are determined in the filtrate. After the breakthrough of iron or cations of hardness salts in purified water above established standards, spent cation exchanger is regenerated. To do this, it is loosened up with water and the precipitate of iron compounds is washed out from the cation exchange resin grains, then a sodium chloride solution is passed, washed with water and a weakly acid solution of Trilon B is passed. After washing with water, the cation exchange resin is prepared for a new cycle of water softening and iron removal.
The proposed method was tested on a laboratory scale. 15 cm 3 of swollen KU-2-8 cation exchanger in a Na + form were loaded into a column with an inner diameter of 24 mm. Then, a 1.8% solution of Trilon B (pH 2.0) was passed through cation exchange resin, washed with water, and water was passed with an iron concentration of 0.5 ml / L and a total hardness of 0.2 mEq / L.
From the data obtained (see table. 1) it can be seen that the depth of iron removal and softening were 30 μg / L and 0.005 mEq / L, respectively, with a sorption capacity of cation exchange resin of 2.8 MEq / g for cations of hardness salts and 7.0 mg / g for iron.
94-95%. After regeneration of the spent cation exchange resin by loosening and washing the precipitate with water, followed by its treatment with an 8% sodium chloride solution and a 1.8% Trilon B solution with pH 2, water was purified with an iron concentration of 1 mg / L and a total hardness of 0.22 mEq / l The depth of water softening and iron removal was 0.005 mEq / L and 50 μg / L, respectively, and the sorption capacity of the cation exchanger was 2.57 mEq / L for cations of hardness salts and 11.7 μg / L for iron. The degree of water deferrization was 94-95%.
According to the prototype, 4 cm 3 of activated carbon, 4 cm 3 of carboxylic cation exchanger in the Na + form, 4 cm 3 of sulfonic acid cation exchanger in the H + form, 4 cm 3 of sulfonic acid cation exchanger in the Ag + form and 4 were loaded into the column with an inner diameter of 24 mm cm 3 strongly basic cation exchanger in HCP 3 - form.
Water was passed through the column with an iron concentration of 0.2 mEq / L and an iron concentration of 0.5 mg / L. From the obtained data it is seen that the softening depth was 0.042 mEq / L with a softening degree of 80%, and the iron removal depth was 22 μg / L with the iron removal degree of 44%, which is worse than by the proposed method.
97,5-97,7%. Thus, the application of the proposed method for simultaneous softening and iron removal of water allows to obtain purified water with an iron concentration of less than 50 μg / l and a total hardness of up to 0.005 mEq / l with a degree of iron removal of 94.0-95.0% and softening 97.5- 97.7%.
