Abstract

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying auricular therapy, corporal reflexogenic therapy, hypocaloric diet. Auricular therapy is carrying out by setting microneedles for 14 days. First, a needle is set on the floor of one auricle, then, on the floor of another auricle. Corporal reflexogenic therapy is carried out by setting long microneedles into the main fat depots through penetrating canal points on both sides. Auricular microneedle therapy is carried out at the points of both conchae auriculae. The active concha auriculae is determined by following weight reduction dynamics. Golden microneedle is introduced into a point of this concha auriculae for 30-50 days.  The invention relates to medicine, namely to reflexology.

 The problem of the state of health of people who are overweight has recently become more and more relevant. The socio-economic background of the current decade leads to the fact that the number of obese people is steadily increasing from year to year, amounting to 60% among the adult population. The factor of overweight, as a predictor of the development of atherosclerosis, hypertension, coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular accident, diabetes and other diseases, has long been known. At the same time, the need to reduce body weight in order to stabilize the somatic and mental state of the group of people under consideration is repeatedly emphasized. Currently, various methods of treating obesity are used: surgical, diet therapy, physiotherapy exercises, massage, reflexology; however, the given treatment regimens cannot be considered universal. For surgical methods (in particular, liposuction) there are many contraindications in connection with the existing somatic pathology, significant material costs, possible complications (keloid scars, difficulty in anesthesia, etc.). A hypocaloric diet causes the development of asthenia, a neurotic state, and depressive reactions in patients. Massage, strengthening the general condition of the body, is ineffective in reducing body weight. Physical activity is often contraindicated due to changes in hemodynamics due to a severe degree and a long history of obesity.

The set of exposure points is selected taking into account the genesis of obesity, severity, complaints of patients, concomitant pathology. Method of exposure (sedative, stimulating) is selected based on the data of acupuncture diagnostics.The impact is on the points: E _36,45 , MC ₆ , RP ₄ , V _20-22 , R ₇ , P ₆ , TR ₅ , T ₁₄ , J _17,21 and auricular points: AT _{17.16.16, 22.26.26a , 45.51, 84.87} . As a result, the decrease in body weight was 6-13 kg in 10-15 sessions.

 The duration of exposure to auricular needles is from 40 minutes to 4-5 days.

 The method has certain disadvantages: too short duration of acupuncture exposure, which does not provide adequate inhibition of the center of hunger, chaotic and unsystematic selection of points, which is an excessive reflex load, which may result in exacerbation of concomitant diseases, worsening of general well-being, aggravation of hypothalamic disorders, and ultimately progression diseases. The use of physiotherapy exercises in the regime of increasing loads helps to increase appetite, due to increased energy costs of microtrauma, the appearance of overload muscle and joint pain, which is the trigger for stress seizing. Physical activity is often contraindicated due to concomitant pathology.

 None of the previously proposed methods takes into account the problem of cosmetic defects in the form of sagging skin folds remaining after weight loss, which exacerbate the chronically existing frustration (dissatisfaction with their appearance).

Treatment begins with a conversation about the dangers of overweight, a session of auricular reflexotherapy with microneedles is conducted in AT _{17,18, 55,87,} which are fixed with a band-aid for 14 days. The patient wears needles, independently stimulates the points, periodically pressing on the adhesive plaster every 30 minutes. It is this selection of points and the period of exposure to them for two weeks that gives a pronounced decrease in appetite, a decrease in gastric secretion (evaluated by clinical and anamnestic data). Such an effect achieves a good psycho-emotional state, which was evaluated using the SMOL method (V.P. Zaitsev "SMOL Methodology", Psychological Journal, N 3. - 1982, p. 72 - 77.; Berezin F.B., Miroshnikov M.P. ., Rozhanets R.V. The next session of auricular reflexology is carried out after 14 days for the same period according to a similar recipe. Microneedles are removed from one auricle, and other microneedles are placed on the other auricle in AT _{17.18, 55.87} . Next is corporal reflexology. The authors offer a fundamentally new technique of exposure. The needles are inserted into the main fat depots located on the surface of the body through the points passing through the channels here. So, on the anterior abdominal wall it is F ₁₃ , VB ₂₆ , RP ₁₆ , E _19-28 ; on the outer surface of the thigh VB ₂₉ , _31,33,34 , RP _10,11 ; in the back area VB ₂₅ , V _19.48 .

There are three such sessions with an interval of one to three days. After 14 days, an auricular reflexology session is performed again. Old microneedles are removed, both auricles are punctured, but only AT _17.18 . The needles are left under the adhesive tape also for 14 days. At the end of each session, body weight control is performed, and the circumference of the waist, hips, chest, and shoulder is measured. The results obtained objectively (using the caliperometry method - "Expert assessment of the physical development of citizens ...", Methodological guidelines, Tver, 1998) show a decrease in body circumferences, the thickness of fat folds, and their pulling up. According to a survey of patients and the objective dynamics of weight loss, the auricle is revealed, the effect of which was more effective. It is in this auricle that a microneedle from gold is pointed at the point AT ₁₈ (starvation) for a period of 30 to 50 days. Every 14 days, the patient comes to control body weight and body circumferences, in addition, they renew the adhesive plaster that fixes the golden needle. Treatment is completed when the patient reaches the ideal body weight, calculated by the Kegle index (BMI = weight (kg) / square body length (m)), where BMI is the body mass index.

 The dynamics of body weight in 420 patients with various degrees of obesity ranged from 3-4 to 8 kg in 14 days, and in general for a course of up to 50 kg. Duration of observation of patients 3 years. Body weight remained stable in 92% of patients for 1 year or more. In the event of a breakdown in the food reflex and weight gain, one session of auricular reflexotherapy from the active auricle was sufficient to restore the lost motivation for adequate appetite.

 Clinical example. Case history N 71. Patient P., 36 years old, complained of excess body weight (height 165 cm, weight 92 kg, Kegle index 33.8 srvc. Units), shortness of breath with light physical exertion, pain in the precordial region was disturbing episodes of increased blood pressure 160/90 mm RT. Art. When conducting a clinical and psychological conversation, emotional lability, a lowered mood background, and self-doubt were noteworthy.

 Increased body weight for more than 15 years is associated with low physical activity, excess calorie intake of food. Previously conducted methods of correcting body weight (therapeutic exercises, massage, etc.) were ineffective. After a course of reflexology, subjective complaints disappeared, exercise tolerance increased, blood pressure stabilized at 130/80 mm Hg. The body mass index after 1 month of reflexology was 30.1 srvc. units (weight loss 10 kg), after 2 months - 27.5 el. (weight loss for the 2nd month of 7 kg), after 2.5 months - 24.6 conventional units (weight loss for the last 1/2 month - 8 kg). In total for a course of reflexology, weight loss was 25 kg. At the same time, the patient maintained her ability to work, her mood was stable, and her self-esteem increased. No cosmetic defects were found in the areas of the former fat folds.

 In the authors' opinion, the advantage of the proposed method is any treatment time, a standardized and systematic set of points, a complex of auricular and corporal reflexology, which provides not only an intensive reduction in body weight, but also an excellent cosmetic effect. The advantages are also the dynamics of weight loss, specific treatment periods, exciting the entire period of weight loss, constant monitoring of the physical, emotional state of patients, the long-term consolidation of a new stereotype of adequate eating behavior. For the first time, in order to reduce appetite, gold microneedles are used, the effect of which in practice causes more severe inhibition at acupuncture points than steel needles, contrary to the prevailing opinion of the exciting effect of gold, possibly due to redaction of active points. The corporal effect technique is unique, which provides not only the general harmonization of energy points in the meridian of the gallbladder, liver, stomach, spleen, pancreas and bladder, but also the enhancement of lipolysis in fat depots due to local mechanisms; lipocyte trauma, the release of biologically active substances, the improvement of tissue microcirculation, and therefore all energy processes in adipose tissue. This provides an excellent cosmetic effect, which is so important for reinforcing the motivation for a new “eating behavior”.

 The method is essentially an alternative to surgical treatment of a disease.
