Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of wastewater treatment from sulfides formed during oil production and refining, at tanneries and other chemical industries.
A known method of wastewater treatment from sulfides by oxidation of the latter with atmospheric oxygen with the formation of elemental sulfur (patent 2099292, Russia, MKI C 02 F 1/74. Method for wastewater treatment from sulfides / Vitkovskaya RF, Panov VP, Petrov S .V., Tereshchenko P.Ya., Ukhanova E.I. Bulletin of the Invention N 35, 1997). The disadvantages of this method include the use of catalysts, which use bulk textile structures, as well as salts of cobalt or manganese or iron shavings. In addition, a twenty-fold volume of air is used for oxidation.
A known method of purifying sulfur-alkaline waters from sulfides by treating them with aluminum chloride to form a precipitate of aluminum sulfide (patent 2078053, Russia, MKI C 02 F 1/58. Method for purifying sulfur-alkaline waters from sulfides / Kochinashvili MV, Anfinogenova T .S., Menshikova N.N., Karasev V.N. Bulletin of the Invention N 12, 1997). The disadvantages of this method include the use of a rather expensive salt - aluminum chloride. At the same time, the use of aluminum chloride leads to the appearance of additional impurities in the form of chloride ions in wastewater.
Т.А. Н. - с. 853). Closest to the claimed, i.e. The prototype is a method for treating wastewater from sulfides by treating them with ferrous sulfate followed by precipitation of ferrous sulfide (Technical Notes on Water Problems: Translated from English in 2 volumes T. 2 / K. Barake, J. Beben, J. Bernard et al .; Edited by T.A. Karyukhina, I.N. Churbanova - M .: Stroyizdat, 1983 .-- p. 853).
The main disadvantages of the prototype method include the use of expensive salt - iron sulfate. At the same time, the use of iron sulfate leads to the appearance of additional impurities in the form of sulfate ions in wastewater.
The present invention solves the technical problem of reducing the cost of wastewater treatment from sulfides and increasing its efficiency by preventing the ingress of chemicals used in the water treatment process into wastewater.
The essence of the invention lies in the fact that in the known method of wastewater treatment by precipitation of iron sulfide with subsequent separation of the precipitate, according to the invention, the formation of an iron sulfide precipitate is carried out by electrochemical treatment of waste water at an electrode current density of 67 ... 200 mA / cm 2 , and As the soluble components of the anode, iron scrap is used.
Fe2+: Fe - 2e = Fe2+.When sulphide-containing wastewater is treated in an electrolyzer with an anode of iron, the latter, along with the evolution of oxygen, dissolves the iron to form Fe 2+ ions : Fe - 2e = Fe 2+ .
Fe2++S2-=FeS.These ions, interacting with sulfide ions, give a precipitate of iron sulfide Fe 2+ + S 2- = FeS.
The method of purification of sulfide-containing wastewater is as follows. Wastewater containing sulfide ions is subjected to electrochemical treatment in an electrolytic cell with an iron anode. When an electric current flows between the electrodes of the electrolyzer, due to the dissolution of the iron anode, ferrous ions enter the waste water. Interacting with sulfide ions, they lead to the formation of a hardly soluble precipitate of iron sulfide, which is separated from the waste water after its electrochemical treatment. As anode material, iron scrap is used.
1.Example 1. Conduct an electrochemical treatment of a solution of sulfide runoff containing 190 mg / l sodium sulfide in an electrolytic cell with a volume of 400 cm 3 . A titanium plate coated with ruthenium oxide is used as a cathode, and an iron plate is used as an anode. 300 cm 3 of model solution of the drain are poured into the electrolyzer and direct current is turned on. After passing a certain amount of electricity through the apparatus for 40 minutes, the waste water is analyzed for the content of sulfide ions. The results of the experiments are presented in table 1.
From the results shown in table 1, it is seen that the concentration of sulfides in wastewater depends on the anode current density. The highest degree of purification is achieved at an anode current density of 133 mA / cm 2 and is 99.1%. Electricity costs for the extraction of 1 kg of sulfides per Na 2 S in this case are 163.3 kWh / kg.
2.Example 2. Conduct an electrochemical treatment of a solution of sulfide runoff containing from 30 to 197 mg / l of sodium sulfide. The experimental procedure is similar to that described in Example 1. The anode current density in all experiments is 133 mA / cm 2 , and the drain processing time in the electrolyzer is 40 minutes. The results of the experiments are shown in table 2.
99,8%. The results shown in table 2 show that the final sulfide content in wastewater depends on their initial concentration. The degree of purification in these experiments remains almost constant and ranges from 99.2 to 99.8%.
Using the proposed method of wastewater treatment from sulfides in comparison with existing has the following advantages:
a) eliminates the appearance of additional impurities in the wastewater entering it with salts used to form insoluble sulfide precipitates,
b) as a soluble component of the anode involves the use of iron scrap, which is cheaper than salts.
The proposed method for the treatment of wastewater from sulfides can be used in oil refining, petrochemicals, tanneries and other enterprises where the formation of sulfide-containing effluents is possible.
