Abstract
Description
Flatfoot is a deformation of the foot, characterized by a flattening of its arches. Distinguish between transverse and longitudinal flat feet, a combination of both forms is less common. With transverse flat feet, flattening of the transverse arch of the pillars takes place. Its anterior section rests on the floor with the heads of all five metatarsal bones, see Fig. 4, and not with the heads of the first and fifth, as is the case with the norm, see FIG. 1. At longitudinal - the longitudinal arch is flattened. The foot is in contact with the floor over almost the entire area of the sole; see FIG. 2. As can be seen in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3, the normal foot rests on the floor with three points, namely the heads of the first and fifth metatarsal bones and the calcaneus. The main cause of flat feet is the weakness of the musculo-ligamentous apparatus of the foot.
The basis of flatfoot treatment is special gymnastics to strengthen the musculoskeletal system of the foot. In some cases, special arch support insoles are used, which raise the flattened arch of the foot. On the same principle, special orthopedic shoes are designed. (See POPULAR MEDICAL ENCYCLOPEDIA. Tashkent. 1989. p. 483). The benefits of gymnastic exercises are obvious. However, raising the flattened arch of the foot due to any lining adversely affects the muscular activity of the foot and is therefore a palliative measure.
The aim of the present invention is the treatment and prevention of flat feet by strengthening the muscular-ligamentous apparatus of the foot when walking. This goal is achieved by the fact that instead of pads in the places of flattening of the foot in the arch supports, recesses or cuts are made, so with transverse flat feet, see FIG. 4, in the arch support, a recess or cut is made under the heads of the second, third and fourth metatarsal bones. With longitudinal flat feet, see FIG. 2, a recess or notch in the arch support is performed in the middle of the foot. With a combination of both forms of flatfoot, a recess in the arch support is performed both in the middle part of the foot and between the heads of the first and fifth metatarsal bones, i.e. total, see FIG. 7. The support of the foot on the floor at three points when walking in shoes with the arch support proposed in the present invention with indentations or cuts promotes the proper organization of the muscular activity of the foot and, thus strengthening its musculo-ligamentous apparatus, eliminates the cause, and therefore the disease itself, and prevents its occurrence.
5, 6 и 7. The foregoing embodiments of the subject invention are shown in FIG. 5, 6 and 7.
FIG. 5 - arch support with a recess or notch under the heads of the second, third and fourth metatarsal bones for use with transverse flatfoot.
FIG. 6 - arch support with a recess or notch in the middle of the foot for use with longitudinal flat feet.
FIG. 7 - arch support with a recess or notch under the heads of the second, third and fourth metatarsal bones, as well as in the middle part of the foot for use with a combination of both forms of flat feet.
The arch supports can be made of any materials suitable for the manufacture of shoe insoles.
