Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the medical industry, namely to the production of medical plastic compounds, and can be used in the manufacture of containers for infusion solutions.
ч. A known composition for the manufacture of containers for infusion solutions, containing polyvinyl chloride, dioctyl phthalate, epoxidized vegetable oil, calcium stearic acid, zinc stearic acid in the following quantities, parts by weight
Polyvinyl chloride - 100
Dioctyl phthalate - 54
Epoxidized Vegetable Oil - 3
Calcium stearic acid - 0.8
Stearic Zinc - 0.2
(TU 6-05-1533-85 PLASTIC GRANULATED MEDICAL, grade PM-1/42, 1999). The specified composition is taken as a prototype.
However, containers made from a known composition have a number of significant drawbacks. When storing infusion solutions from containers, organic substances migrate, which is revealed when testing solutions for the content of reducing impurities. After sterilization of the containers, the pH of the infusion solution changes sharply towards acidification. In addition, with prolonged storage of solutions in containers (about a year), a significant change in the volume of the solution occurs in the direction of decrease and, accordingly, an increase in the concentration of the solution. All these shortcomings sharply worsen the quality of infusion solutions, up to the complete discrepancy with the pharmacopoeial article.
The basis of the invention is the task of creating a composition for the manufacture of containers for infusion solutions, ensuring the stability of the characteristics of infusion solutions after sterilization and throughout their shelf life.
The problem is solved in that the composition for the manufacture of containers for infusion solutions containing polyvinyl chloride, dioctyl phthalate, epoxidized vegetable oil, calcium stearic acid, zinc stearic acid, according to the invention additionally contains ionol in the following ratio, wt.h .:
Polyvinyl chloride - 100
Dioctyl phthalate - 40-45
Epoxidized Vegetable Oil - 3-10
Calcium stearic acid - 0.6-1
Zinc stearic acid - 0.35-0.7
Ionol - 0.05-0.1
A decrease in the content of the dioctyl phthalate plasticizer reduces the likelihood of it sweating out of the container into the infusion solution, which is confirmed by the absence of reducing impurities in the solution. The ratio of stabilizers — calcium, stearic acid, zinc, stearic acid, and ionol, selected as a result of the studies, provides the composition with higher thermal stability, which favorably affects the process of processing the composition. The selected ratio of the components significantly reduced the decrease in pH (acidification) of the infusion solution in the container during sterilization and storage, and also eliminated a decrease in the volume of the solution during storage.
Composition for the manufacture of containers for infusion solutions is obtained by hot mixing followed by granulation. The containers are made by extrusion and high-frequency welding.
