Abstract

L-shaped restrictors are adapted for restricting height of retraction of table top before it is arranged in horizontal position. Retainer made in the form of rectangular plate is rigidly secured to rear main wall through restrictors and is adapted for fixing table top folding-back angle.  The invention relates to furniture, namely, upholstered furniture, the back or arm of which is transformed into a coffee table.

 Convertible furniture is known, including a folding table mounted in one of its parts, at the bottom there is a bed pivotally connected by transverse walls to the side walls of the cabinet with the possibility of rotation relative to the longitudinal axis to convert to a table, and means for changing the inclination of the table top formed by tips, each of which it is pivotally mounted on one of the legs of the bed with the possibility of fixation in a vertical position and placement in a horizontal position for installing countertops under Onom (SU 1673036 A1, 08/30/1991).

 The disadvantage of this furniture is the complexity of the process of transforming the bed into a table, to hold the table tops, legs are needed at the free part of the tabletop. Such a mechanism for turning a part of a bed into a folding table is inconvenient for transforming part of a sofa bed or chair into a folding table.

 Convertible furniture is also known, which contains a folding table mounted in one of its parts, and part of it with a folding table mounted with a rear main wall (US 5104182 A, 04/14/1992).

 The disadvantage of such furniture is that the mechanism for transforming part of the furniture into a folding table does not provide sufficient structural rigidity.

 The technical result achieved by the implementation of this invention is to develop upholstered furniture (sofa beds or armchairs) with the conversion of one of its parts (back or armrest) into a folding coffee table, which will expand the functionality and improve the usability of furniture.

 The specified technical result is achieved in that in a convertible upholstered furniture, for example, a sofa bed containing a folding table mounted in one of its parts, and part of it with a folding folding table provided with a rear main wall, according to the invention, in the center of the lower part of the rear main wall is made a rectangular cut-out, the width of which is equal to the width of the table top, and the height of the cut determines the horizontal level of the tilted table top, and which is its support in the tilted position, is equipped with two L-shaped stops, with protrusions turned to each other, rigidly fastened to the rear main wall and forming guides with it for the tilting axis of the table top during its vertical movement, and limiting the height of the table top extension before moving it to a horizontal position, with a latch that looks rectangular panels rigidly fastened through the stops with the rear main wall, reliably fixing the angle of the tilting of the table tops.

 The presence of the rear main wall, which is firmly attached to the back of the sofa bed, has a rectangle in the lower central part, the width of which is determined by the width of the table top, keeps the reclined table in a horizontal position and prevents its further tipping over, giving it rigidity.

 The L-shaped limiters rigidly attached to the rear main wall, deployed by protrusions to each other, and having a distance between each other equal to the length of the tilting axis of the countertop, and which are guides during its vertical movement, determine the height of the tabletop until it tilts to a horizontal position, and also prevent skewing of the countertop at the moments of its extension and retraction.

 The rectangular panel of the clamp, rigidly fastened to the rear main wall through the stops, reliably fixes the tilted table top in a horizontal position.

 Convertible furniture, such as a sofa bed, contains a rear main wall 1, in the lower central part of which a rectangular cutout is made, the width of which is equal to the width of the table top 4 of the table, and the height of the cut determines the horizontal level of the folded tabletop 4 and is its support in the tilted position.

 The stops 2 are turned by protrusions to each other, rigidly fastened to the rear main wall 1 and are guides for the tipping axis 5 when the tabletop 4 is vertically extended. In addition, they limit the height of the tabletop 4 until it is tilted to a horizontal position.

 The tipping axis 5 is attached to the countertop, dividing it into two parts: directly the countertop 4 - a coffee table and a console, by means of which, using the stops 2 and the lock 3, the tilted coffee table is held rigidly in a horizontal position.

 The latch 3 is a rectangular panel, rigidly fastened through the stops 2 with the rear main wall 1, reliably fixes the tipping angle of the table top 4 of the table.

 The handle 6 is located at the top of the transformable part of the sofa bed and serves to conveniently extend this part of the back of the sofa bed to the highest vertical position for tipping it into a horizontal position and turning it into a coffee table.

 The transformation of the back of the sofa bed into a folding coffee table is as follows.

 In this embodiment, a folding coffee table is mounted in the central part of the back of the sofa bed. To translate the tabletop 4 tables in a horizontal position, you need to pull this part of the back up on the handle 6, located in the upper part of the sofa bed, until it stops. In this case, the tipping axis 5, fixed near the edge of the table top 4 of the table in the place of its horizontal connection with the back of the sofa bed, moves vertically along the guides formed between the planes of the rear main wall 1 and the stops 2. In the assembled position, the panel of the retainer 3 reliably holds the back of the sofa bed in an upright position and prevents the spontaneous overturning of the countertop 4. Using the retainer 3, the horizontalness of the countertop resting on it is determined.

 The movable part of the back of the sofa bed when assembled has an even smooth surface from the back and a soft pillow on the front side, forming the back of the sofa bed. When capsizing, the smooth surface of the back part of the sofa bed forms a flat surface of the table top 4 tables, and the pillow is at that moment from the bottom, but does not come in contact with the seat cushion of the sofa bed.

 Using a sofa bed with a back convertible into a folding coffee table will expand the functionality of the sofa bed and increase its usability.
