Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the construction materials industry, in particular to the use of wastewater in the production of building gravel.
(А.С. СССР N 504726, C 04 B 21/00, B 33/00, 1976).Known raw mix for the manufacture of expanded clay, including clay, calcium carbonate, an organic additive (solar oil), but in the following ratio, wt.%:
Clay - Foundation
Chalk - 1-8
Organic supplement - 0.5-1.0
Ash - 7-12
(A.S. USSR N 504726, C 04 B 21/00, B 33/00, 1976).
The reasons that impede the achievement of the technical result include: multi-component composition of the mixture, high firing temperature (1200 - 1250 o C), high bulk density (850 - 500 kg / m 3 ), the complexity of transporting the components introduced into the mixture, which are mainly in solid form, high energy costs.
Solid and liquid substances are used as an intumescent additive in production, for example, fuel oil, petrolatum, anitracene, hydrochloric oil, sulphite-alcohol stillage and others are used as liquid additives.
Closest to the proposed one is a raw mixture obtained by the method of preparing expanded clay by mixing clay, water and an organic additive, which is introduced in the form of a pre-condensed precipitate of wash water. The purified wash water precipitate is dehydrated to the content of organic substances in the amount of 0.9-4.0 wt.% (USSR Patent N 1165660 A, C 04 B 20/02, 1985).
The reasons that impede the achievement of the technical result include a high temperature of firing pellets (1200 o C), a lower value of the coefficient of expansion of expanded clay material compared to the proposed, the complexity of obtaining dehydrated organic sludge, high energy intensity of the process.
Objective: disposal of spent yeast contained in the wastewater of the fermentation camp and bottle washing shops of the brewing industry, which are an intumescent additive to clay raw materials in the production of expanded clay gravel; improvement of the ecology of the environment.
In the implementation of the invention, the following technical result can be obtained: an increase in the values of the coefficient of expansion and a decrease in bulk density due to the introduction into the raw material mixture of the intumescent additive of spent yeast; improving the ecology of water, which has recently been associated with scarce substances; the raw material mixture is small component, the process of producing expanded clay does not require significant energy costs.
The specified technical result in the implementation of the invention is achieved by the fact that the proposed raw mixture contains clay and an organic additive, which is used as spent yeast contained in the wastewater of the fermentation camp and bottle washing shops of brewing, in the following ratio, wt.%:
The specified organic additive is spent yeast (in terms of 100% of the substance) - 1.81-1.59
Clay - 98.19 - 98.41
In the present invention, used yeast (10%) contained in the wastewater of the fermentation camp and bottle washing shops (pH 9-11) of the brewing industry is used. Thus, substances that pollute wastewater and from which it is very difficult to dispose of are disposed of, because biological treatment is required, which is associated with storage ponds occupying large land masses, and also requires considerable time. It is impossible to remove the yeast mechanically. Wastewater with a pH of 9-11 is favorable for creating a pyroplastic state of clay. During the heat treatment of the raw material mixture and its roasting, a gas mixture is formed, which provides an expansion effect. Sodium ions present in wastewater contribute to lowering the melting temperature of the charge, and also ensure uniform expansion and strength of the granules.
Using wastewater containing spent yeast saves the scarce water needed to make clay dough.

1. The compositions of the known and proposed raw materials for the production of expanded clay gravel are given in table 1.
п. 7,96.Clay raw materials of the Chepurnikovsky deposit were used to obtain expanded clay. Clay is a chocolate-yellow mineral substance with carbonate inclusions, highly plastic, dispersed. In terms of refractoriness, it belongs to fusible clays, sintered at low temperature and has a chemical composition, wt.%: SiO 2 53.08; Al 2 O 3 17.25; Fe 2 O 3 7.58; CaO 3.83; MgO 2.32; K 2 O 2,90; SO 3 1.31; FeO 1.04; p.p. 7.96.
Expanded clay gravel is prepared as follows. Clay raw materials are dried, crushed, sieved through a 1 mm sieve. Then, clay dough of normal molding moisture content (30%) is prepared by adding wastewater containing spent yeast in an amount of 1.59-1.81 wt.% In terms of clay mixture. The prepared test is allowed to mature for 2-3 hours, after which granules with a diameter and height of 15 mm are formed. Pre-drying of the granules is carried out at a temperature of 100-110 o C for one and a half hours. The dried granules are fired in a muffle furnace for 10 minutes at a temperature of 1050-1080 o C. Upon completion of the firing process, the expanded granules are placed in a heating cabinet for 20 minutes at a temperature of 300 o C, and then cooled at room temperature. The resulting expanded clay gravel has a brown surface crust, uniform in size.
2. Physico-mechanical indicators of expanded clay gravel are determined according to GOST 9757-90 and are presented in table.2.
With an increase in the content of spent yeast of more than 1.81 wt.% Expanded clay material acquires a nosolate structure with the formation of large pores and cavities, which reduces the strength of expanded clay. A decrease in temperature (below 1050 o C) reduces the effect of expansion of clay raw materials.
With the introduction of less than 1.59 wt.% Spent yeast into the charge, the effect of expansion of clay raw materials decreases, which leads to an increase in the bulk density of the expanded clay obtained. Increasing the firing temperature (above 1080 o C) leads to the fusion of the granules with each other.
This reduces the quality of the expanded clay obtained.
2.Example 1.
