Abstract
Description
The invention relates to medicine, namely to methods for research and detection of parathyroid glands.
(Alveryd. A. Parathyroid glands in thyroid surgery //Acta chir. Scand. 1968. Suppl. 389, p. 14). There is a method of identifying parathyroid glands on cadaveric material, which consists in the preparation of the upper and lower thyroid arteries with their branches to the entrance to the parenchyma of the gland, followed by finding parathyroid arteries and parathyroid glands. After that, the preparations were subjected to histological examination with the aim of their microscopic identification. (Alveryd. A. Parathyroid glands in thyroid surgery // Acta chir. Scand. 1968. Suppl. 389, p. 14). In the available literature, we have not encountered other methods for the isolation of parathyroid glands on cadaveric material.
However, this method is very time consuming and time consuming. In addition, along with the parathyroid glands, additional thyroid lobes, lymph nodes and lumps of fat can get. The parathyroid glands located in the thyroid parenchyma remain outside the field of research.
The aim of the invention is to develop the most informative and less time-consuming method for identifying parathyroid glands.
This goal is achieved by the fact that when opening the corpse, the organocomplex of the neck, including the esophagus, larynx, thyroid gland and main vessels, is removed. Clamps are applied to the upper and lower thyroid arteries at the level of their discharge, then, using a puncture of the latter, a 1% aqueous Evans blue solution is injected with a syringe until resistance. Then the drug is immersed in a 5% formalin solution for 2 days. In this case, the parathyroid glands are stained in a pale blue-greenish color, the lymph nodes in dark blue, and the thyroid tissue in bright blue. Thus, without histological examination of the material, with less time, we are able to identify the parathyroid glands on macroscopic preparations visually.
We give an example.
N 181. The drug is N 181.
At autopsy, the organocomplex of the neck was removed, including the larynx, esophagus, thyroid gland and main vessels. Clamps are applied to the upper and lower thyroid arteries at the place of their discharge. Using a syringe, 1% aqueous Evans blue solution was injected into the thyroid arteries before resistance. Next, the drug is immersed in a 5% formalin solution for 2 days. In this case, the parathyroid glands stained a pale blue-greenish color, the lymph nodes - in a dark blue color, the thyroid gland - in a bright blue color. Histological studies (stained with hematoxylin-eosin) confirmed the truth of the tissue of the parathyroid glands.
Using the proposed method can significantly reduce the research time. It is less labor-consuming, cheaper and allows to identify the parathyroid glands located in the tissue of the thyroid gland.
