Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of geotechnology and can be used for heap selective leaching of complex gold-bearing ores.
A known method for the joint processing of manganese and copper ores (Aut. St. USSR N 1435638, 1986), including leaching them in an acidic environment, characterized in that in order to increase the content of precious metals in the sludge from copper ore, the leaching of manganese and copper ores is carried out respectively in anode and cathode parts of the diaphragm electrolyzer.
The disadvantage of this method is the limited scope of its application by leaching of monometallic ores.
The closest to the proposed technical essence and the achieved result is a method of heap electrochemical leaching of ores (In the book: A.E. Vorobyev et al. Methods and methods of forming technogenic mineral objects in the open development of complex structural deposits. - M .: Tsvetmetinformatsiya, 1990, p. 52-53), according to which the heap leaching stack is formed sequentially with the perforated pipeline and electrodes laid in it, a pond is created to collect solutions and simultaneously process and stockpiled ore with technological solutions and electric current.
The disadvantage of this method is the low efficiency of oxidation and leaching of gold.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the efficiency of the heap leaching of complex ores by reducing the electrode potential of minerals.
This goal is achieved by the fact that in the implementation of the proposed method, including the formation of a leachable stack of refractory gold-bearing arsenopyrite-pyrrhotite ores, the supply of water or an active agent, for example, perchloric acid solutions, and treatment with direct electric current. From the standpoint of the electrochemical dissolution of metals, gold-bearing arsenopyrite-pyrrhotite ores must be considered as a system consisting of three minerals: arsenopyrite - pyrrhotite - native gold. The ions of each metal have an individual electrode potential of exit from the crystal lattice of a mineral, due to its standard electrode potential, solution acidity, oxidizer potential. Under the influence of electrochemical reactions, in the first place, the most electronegative mineral of this triad will dissolve. Therefore, a change in the values of electrode potentials and elements in electrogeotechnology has a significant role.
1983). The value of the electrode potential of arsenopyrite 0.5V, pyrite 0.55V, gold 1.5V (see, for example, Latimer V.M. Oxidative states of elements and their potentials in aqueous solutions. - M., 1954; Yakhontova L.K., Nesterovich L.G. The zone of hypergenesis of ore deposits as a biocos system. - M.: Moscow State University, 1983).
When changing electrode potentials, it is necessary to take into account such a widely known in natural geological processes (see, for example, VN Shchetochkin and others. "The natural galvanic effect in the formation of ore-bearing zones of formation oxidation - Geochemistry, N 2, 1995, p. 264), but a property not yet used in engineering and technology, such as an increase in the potential of minerals with an increase in the content of free oxygen in the medium, the more positive the potential of sulfides, the more difficult the reaction of their electrical oxidation. amount of free oxygen in technological solutions, the efficiency of electrochemical leaching of gold-containing sulfide ores will increase.
For this, a leachable stack is formed in a recess shielded by an antifiltration layer. At the bottom of the recess, a network of perforated piping is created, into which technological solutions are subsequently fed. Then, a buffer layer of finely dispersed rocks is poured, which can also be free oxygen reducers contained in technological solutions. On the surface of the buffer layer, a network of an additional perforated pipeline is formed, into which, as necessary, solutions are supplied that restore free oxygen from technological solutions. A second, additional buffer layer is also formed on the surface of the additional pipeline, which also serves to uniformly mix and distribute the solutions. Then lay the electrodes, for example from a grid. After that, the formation of a leachable layer from substandard gold-containing sulfide ores is carried out. In the upper part of which electrodes are laid - cathodes. A pond is formed on the surface of the stack to collect productive solutions.
The result is an efficient electrochemical oxidation of sulfides and leaching of gold.
The drawing shows a variant of the heap leaching scheme, where the numbers indicate:
1 - antifiltration base; 2.4 - perforated pipe; 3,5 - buffer layer; 6.8 - electrodes; 7 - leachable layer; 9 - a pond; the arrows indicate the direction of migration of the solutions.
The method is as follows.
Initially, an anti-filtration base 1 is formed on which pipe 2 is laid. Then a buffer layer 3 is formed of finely divided rocks (having, for example, the ability to restore free oxygen from solutions). Then an additional pipeline 4 is formed, and on its surface an additional buffer layer 5 is formed, on the surface of which an electrode 6 is arranged in the form of a grid. Then carry out the formation of the leachable layer 7, for example, from substandard gold-bearing sulfide ores. Cathodes 8 are laid in the upper part of layer 7. A pond 9 is formed on the surface of the stack to collect productive solutions, from where they are pumped out (not shown in the figure).
Migration of solutions is carried out due to the action of the hydraulic lock from the bottom up. With the passage of layers 3 and 5, there is a restoration of free oxygen contained in the technological solutions. For the complete recovery of free oxygen and pipeline 4 additional special solutions are supplied.
As a result, when voltage is applied to the electrodes 6 and 8 and solutions in the piping 2 and 4, the effective electrochemical oxidation of sulfides, the disclosure of gold impregnation, and the leaching of gold are ensured.
An example of a specific implementation of the proposed method is a heap of electrochemical leaching of gold-bearing arsenopyrite-pyrrhotite ores.
9. Initially, an anti-filtration base 1 is formed in the recess, for example from clay, with a thickness of 0.5 m. A plastic film can be used as the base. A network of perforated pipeline 2 is formed on layer 1. Then, layer 3 of finely divided rocks with a thickness of 0.5-1 m is poured. After that, a perforated pipeline 4 is formed, and on its surface a rock layer 5 with a thickness of 0.5-1 m. On its surface an electrode 6 is placed - the anode, in the form of a grid. Then a layer 7 is formed of substandard refractory gold-containing finely dispersed sulfide ores with a thickness of 5-8 m. In the surface of layer 7, cathodes 8 are formed, made in the form of pipes (cylinders). To collect solutions on the surface of the layer 7 create a pond 9.
When applying technological solutions (containing NaOH as an active agent), they migrate from the bottom up. When they pass through layers 3 and 5, as well as when they meet with reducing solutions, free oxygen is restored by the reactions:
2H 2 S + 3O 2 → 2H 2 O + 2SO 2
or
2SO 2 + O 2 → SO 3
For the electrochemical oxidation of minerals and the opening of finely divided gold, a voltage of 0.1-100 V / cm 2 is applied to the electrodes 6 and 8. This will ensure intensive oxidation of sulfides, the disclosure of mineralization and effective leaching of gold.
The positive effect of the proposed technical solution is to increase the efficiency of the process of electrochemical heap leaching by preliminary reduction of free oxygen contained in technological solutions.
The proposed invention can be used for heap leaching of gold-bearing ores.
