Abstract
Description
[1]. The invention relates to the field of nuclear energy, in particular to equipment for the removal of radioactive waste from products extracted from the active zone of a nuclear reactor, and can be used to remove radioactive waste from detectors controlling energy release [1].
The need to solve this problem arose due to the fact that when equipment is removed from the core of a nuclear reactor, the central hall of the nuclear power plant and the environment are contaminated, which may cause radiation exposure to personnel.
Known devices for mechanical cleaning of cells [2, 3]. These devices are made in the form of ruffs with nylon or metal brushes. Known devices, but for their design and purpose, cannot perform the functions proposed by this device, because are devices for cleaning internal surfaces.
The closest analogue of the claimed invention is a device for cleaning the inner surfaces of the pipe of the reactor vessel from corrosion deposits [4]. The device comprises a housing with an opening for suctioning the products of stripping and metal scrapers (brushes). After fixing the device, the scrapers are rotated manually. In the process of moving along the surface to be cleaned, the scrapers remove rust, which is removed by vacuum.
The disadvantage of this device is that it cannot be used in conditions of hard ionizing radiation and high temperature.
The problem solved by the proposed technical solution is to create a device for removing and removing radioactive waste from the surface of equipment heated to 300 o C, extracted from the active zone of a nuclear reactor.
The essence of the invention lies in the fact that in the device for removing and removing radioactive waste from the surface of equipment removed from the active zone of a nuclear reactor, including a housing with holes for removing radioactive deposits and needle scrapers, it is proposed that the housing be made in the form of a clamp with a hinge with one and a clamp on the other hand, and cassette needle scrapers to fix on the inner surface of the housing.
The clamp housing makes it possible to securely fasten the device to the structural elements of the reactor (for example, the tail of the fuel module), and is easy to install and remove. Needle scrapers due to the radial location well remove radioactive waste from the extracted product, even with changes in the shape of the product. Needle scrapers are made removable, they are the only rubbing element in the device and are easily replaced, because placed in a removable cassette.
The claimed technical solution is illustrated by the drawing, which shows a General view of the device with a partial section.
A device for removing and removing radioactive waste consists of a detachable clamp housing 1. The halves of the detachable clamp housing 1 are connected by hinges 2 located on one of its sides; these halves of the housing are fixed by means of a retainer 3 located on its other side. At the ends of the clamp body 1, annular grooves 4, 5 are made for installation on the equipment to be cleaned. The internal cavity of the clamp housing 1 is filled with needle scrapers 6 installed in the cassette 7, mounted on the inner side surface of the clamp housing 1. A hole is made in the housing 1, to which the fitting 8 is welded for connection to a standard vacuum system.
The device operates as follows. The operation of the device is considered in a particular case - the removal and disposal of radioactive waste from the radar energy detection detectors (DEC) p . The device is installed on the shank 9 of the fuel module for cleaning the sensor for energy release control along the radius 10. The device is installed and securely fixed on the shank 9 by means of hinges 2 and the lock 3. In the upper part of the device body 1, a vacuum is formed due to the operation of the vacuum system connected to the nozzle 8 ( not shown). The sensor (DCE) p, when removed upward, is cleaned by scrapers 6 and the radioactive particles are entrained by the air flow into the vacuum system, where they are captured by filters.
Tests of the device showed the reliability of its operation. The content of radioactive sols in the air of the central hall of a nuclear power plant does not increase during regular operations when removing energy control detectors. The floor surface of the central hall of the nuclear power plant was not contaminated with radioactive waste.
