Abstract
Description
The invention relates to nuclear energy and can be used for transportation and storage of spent fuel assemblies (OTC).
[1]. Known containers for transporting and storing OTS, containing a housing, an outer casing, a protective cover and fastening on the outer casing lifting elements [1].
Such containers reliably protect the products released by OTS from leakage, however, the installation of load-lifting elements on the container casing necessitates an increase in the wall thickness of the casing in the places of their fastenings and an increase in the load-carrying capacity of the container leads to an increase in its weight, therefore, this design is unsuitable for large containers.
[2]. Closest to the invention is a container for transportation and storage of OTS, comprising a housing, an outer casing, a neutron-absorbing element located between them, a protective cover and load-bearing trunnion elements mounted on the housing [2].
The disadvantages of this design are the appearance in the weld area of additional stress concentrators and the inability to control the strength of the trunnions during operation, which cannot guarantee the reliability of the device. The invention is based on the task of improving the design of the container for transportation and storage of OTS so as to exclude the negative impact of welds in the places of fastening of the trunnions to the container body on its strength and to provide the ability to control the strength of the trunnions in the process of container service.
The objective of the invention is to improve the design of the container for transportation and storage of OTS in such a way as to exclude the negative effect of welds at the points of attachment of the pins to the container body on its strength and to provide the ability to control the strength of the pins during operation of the container.
The problem is solved due to the fact that in the container for transportation and storage of OTC, containing a housing, an outer casing, a neutron-absorbing element located between them, a protective cover and trunnions mounted on the housing, each trunnion is made in the form of a cylinder, at one end of which there is a shoulder, and on the other, located in the housing, a hole is made, the cylinder being rigidly mounted in the protective sleeve and welded to it along the perimeter of the shoulder.
The combination of features of the proposed design allows to increase the strength and reliability of the container due to the fact that the welds are not directly placed on the surface of the cylinders of the trunnions, but on the protective sleeve and a flange made at one end of each of the trunnions, while they do not create additional stresses and do not have a negative the impact on the reliability of the trunnions, the guarantee of which is increased due to the presence of holes on the other end of the cylinder of each trunnion, which can be used to configure the ultrasonic def protoscopy and performing non-destructive testing in the operation of the container.
1. On Fig, 1 shows a General view of the container; in FIG. 2 - remote element in FIG. one.
2). The container for transportation and storage of spent fuel assemblies contains a housing 1, an outer casing 2, a neutron-absorbing element 3 located between them, a protective cover 4 and load-lifting elements — trunnions made in the form of cylinders 5 (Fig. 1) at one end of which there is a collar 6 ( Fig 2). Each cylinder is rigidly mounted in the protective sleeve 7 (Fig. 2) and welded to it along the perimeter of the shoulder 6. The sleeve 7 is welded to the housing 1 and the outer casing 2. An
During operation of the container, additional stresses do not arise on the surface of the pins due to the absence of welds in the area of application of forces during loading and unloading areas, and the ability to perform non-destructive testing of the strength of the pins additionally increases the reliability of the container and allows to increase the service life.
