Description
The claimed utility model relates to mechanical engineering, namely to friction products containing a polymer composite friction element and intended for use in friction units of automotive and automotive equipment, various machines and equipment (pads and brake linings for cars, tractors, rail vehicles, etc.).
An analogue of the claimed utility model is a friction product, including a polymer composite friction element made of a composite containing a polymer matrix and particulate fillers, including fibrous particulate fillers, including cellulose fibers (see Krivolapoe P.N. and others. Friction composite materials on based on synthetic and cellulose fibers, in the collection “Powder Metallurgy”, SNPO Powder Metallurgy, Minsk, 2017, pp. 54÷58). The essential features of the analogue "polymer matrix, dispersed fillers, cellulose fibers" coincide with the essential features of the claimed utility model.
The disadvantage of the analog is the possibility of ignition of the composite and its combustion at elevated operating temperatures of the tribocoupling due to the presence of combustible fibers in it.
The closest analogue of the claimed utility model is a friction product made of a polymer composite, including a polymer matrix and particulate fillers, including a fibrous particulate filler from a pulp of fibers selected from the group including cotton, cellulose and viscose, with the following content of components: polymer matrix 15 wt .%; dispersed fillers 84 wt.%; pulp 1 wt.% (see RF patent No. 2269546, IPC F16D 69/02, 2006). The essential features of the closest analogue "polymer composite, polymer matrix, particulate fillers, fibrous particulate filler cellulose" coincide with the essential features of the claimed utility model.
The disadvantage of the closest analogue is that, with all the positive performance properties that the dispersed fibrous filler made of cellulose gives the friction product, the product is characterized by an increased possibility of ignition and combustion at elevated operating temperatures, which makes the product not applicable in highly loaded friction assemblies, where a significant operational heat.
The task to be solved by the claimed utility model is to reduce the possibility of ignition and combustion of the polymer composite of the friction product at high operating temperatures, which expands the range of possible applications of the product.
To achieve the specified technical result in a friction product made of a polymer composite, including a polymer matrix and dispersed fillers, from 5 to 25 wt.% of a pre-made mixture of wood flour and double superphosphate powder was introduced into the composite in the following ratio of components: M = 1, 5÷3.5С; where M is the amount of wood flour, C is the amount of double superphosphate powder.
Essential features of the claimed utility model “in the composition of the composite introduced from 5 to 25 wt.% pre-made mixture of wood flour and double superphosphate powder in the following ratio of components: M=1.5÷3.5C; where M is the amount of wood flour, C is the amount of double superphosphate powder "are distinctive from the features of the closest analogue.
The friction product includes a polymer composite friction element made of a composite. As the polymeric matrix of the composite, cured resins, vulcanized rubbers, or mixtures of cured resins and vulcanized rubbers can be used. Various particulate materials can be used as fillers, such as barite, carbon black, etc. Also, the composition of dispersed fillers may include dispersed fibrous materials (steel fiber powder, etc.). The composite additionally introduced from 5 to 35 wt.% pre-made mixture of wood flour and powdered double superphosphate. The mixture contains wood flour and double superphosphate in the ratio: M=1.5÷3.5C; where M is the amount of wood flour, C is the amount of double superphosphate powder. As a result of pre-mixing, the particles of double superphosphate are retained by fibers partially cleaved from wood flour particles, which maintains mutual contact and close location of these components in the matrix of the polymer composite of the friction product.
The inventive friction product can be manufactured by known methods, for example, by molding in a mold from a molding mixture into which a pre-made mixture of wood flour and double superphosphate is introduced.
A specific example of the claimed utility model is a friction product, the polymer composite of which contains 11 wt.% of a prefabricated mixture containing 70 wt.% wood flour and 30 wt.% powdered double superphosphate.
The presence of particles of double superphosphate in contact with the fibrous particles of wood flour significantly reduces (up to complete exclusion) the possibility of ignition and combustion of wood flour (and hence the composite material) at significant operating temperatures. As a result, the allowable operating range of the friction product is significantly increased. At the same time, the introduction of a prefabricated mixture in an amount of less than 5 wt.%) does not give the suppression of the “lubrication” effect indicated in the closest analogue, and the introduction of a prefabricated mixture in an amount of more than 35 wt.%) reduces the strength characteristics of the friction product. The ratio of the components of the prefabricated mixture is optimal in terms of both fire protection and strength characteristics of the product (reinforcing properties of wood flour). At a ratio of less than 1.5, reinforcing properties are insufficient, and at a ratio of more than 3.5, fire-retardant properties are insufficient.
